Look what happens when you develop an attacking system that works and suits the players you’ve got.

    Some defensive record too.

They don't have to make half a dozen changes every game too, which helps....unchanged again today from midweek.

  2. It has to be saud that the way they have been winning football matches since the turn of the year has been very, very emphatic.

    They've been taking teams apart.

    5-0 Crystal Palace

    2-1 Nottm Forest

    3-1 Us

    6-0 West Ham

    5-0 Burnley

    4-1 Newcastle

    6-0 Sheff Utd

    2-1 Brentford

    2-0 Luton

    3-0 Brighton

    2-0 Wolves

    5-0 Chelsea

    3-0 Tottenham (at half time)

    48-4 across 12 and a half games...

    Only pts dropped:

    0-0 Man City

    0-2 Aston Villa

It’s looking extremely likely. They’ve three absolutely guaranteed wins after this (Bournemouth, Man Utd and Everton).

Maximum of 89 pts - if it is enough would just make it sting all the more how we were denied with 97 and 92. They've lost more games this season than we did in those two combined

  4. Is it not possible that all he meant was he was still a bit angry and by talking now it would make it worse, so he'd rather not speak whilst head was where it was....

Which is actually a good thing.

    ?

  5. I don't think Salah should have behaved like he did yesterday and the comments after are arguably worse IMO....But - he isn't and never has been a cunt, he has been a model pro, a great great player, ultra reliable and when there has been noise about him leaving it has never really come from him - we have had 'big' players act much, much worse than him when it comes to talking about leaving.

So I feel some of the stuff I have seen written about him on twatter and even some of it on here since yesterday is a bit OTT.

All that said I feel this summer is probably just about the sweet spot for selling him - we'll get good money and my view is the decline is imminent - let him go into it on someone elses watch, let his legs go elsewhere, get a good fee and use it towards helping build a new team in what is a new era.

But for me the dogs abuse he has been getting since yesterday is all a bit much. He was out of line and he exacerbated it after which is irritating, but the lad is a good one.

  6. We have been very good at selling at the right time and letting players legs go/fall into serious decline on someone elses watch.

I'd say all things considered, his age, his contract, the price we could get, how much more we would get from him beyond another season etc that this coming summer is probably the sweet spot for selling Salah.

It doesn't get any better though despite the shield change..you now see the whole less. The socks better be wrong.

It is shite - but that shield was an embarrassment - an insult to our crest frankly.

You can never rely on those big emotional games to get results. We need to get it sorted v spurs.

Deffo wouldn't want it to come down to that.

Not after this run we have been on and would still have been on if it does come to that.

I may be wrong but i think we need 1 pt as it stands.

Yeah I can't see spurs laying a glove on them and Arsenal just bumming big Anges tactical brains out. Spurs v city on the other hand, I could see City losing that.

We may yet need abu dhabi to win that....

  10. Well at least they have bin bagged that fucking shield it seems.

Fuck knows what is going on with the socks though - surely not white - looks like they are not lfc socks mind.

  11. Do we need another win really to make top 4 a cert. If so it is hard to see where it is coming from - Tottenham is a 50/50 job, Villa away is gonna be really tough. If it goes to last day you'd think Wolves at home is ideal but by then of we still need a result given our fragile state would you really fancy us?

What an absolute mess this is. Never mind the dreadful comms and leading the referee to a decision, how they can pretend offside decisions are in any way accurate is ridiculous.  There was a (nerd) discussion about the limits of VAR accuracy after one of Dave's reports- the consensus was 4-6 inches at best, I'm not even sure if it's that good judging by how the frame was picked and the lines drawn here. Scrap it, now.

    Abysmal

In play I just assumed Taylor had fucked up because he thought it was an injury. But that is full on cheating. Proper, full on cheating. It’s difficult to argue when he’s telling a player to go to the floor. Everyone, including the West Ham outfield players were playing on.

I am staggered there is not more being made of this - it is absolutely fucking bent.

  14.

It's absolutely abysmal at best and bent at worst officiating and surprise surprise more is not being made of it

We had to put up with a shitstorm and a week worth of discussion when we were wrongly awarded a drop ball about 2 minutes before we scored against Nottingham Forest... But Taylor preventing a certain goal to tend to a fictitious injury that the West Ham keeper wasn't even complaining about will just get swept under the carpet.

    It is fucking beyond laughable.

  15. Somebody posted this in a whatsapp group i am in today - I am not really a fan of this sort of thing, comes across a bit desperate to me, but it did highlight just how close we came to not just greatness, but virtually unseen greatness under Klopp...

"A little statistic to get some perspective. In 487 games for Klopp changing 4 results would mean 3 leagues and 3 CL’s. All ifs and buts but also very fine lines"
