exactly,that is more or less what i told em,but the response was "dont you mean swansea reserves".i realise we are nowhere near as good as the team we used to be but we still have a chance of finishing 4th,,,not bad for has beens.:yes:

after our fine victory over swansea i went into work today full of praise for my team only to be berated and ridiculed by colleagues,the most common remark being "you liverpool lot are fookin deluded" other similar comments were ,"how come you lot think you are still a great side? its the 1st team outa the top ten that you have beat this season etc,i put it down to jealousy,,,we arent really deluded are we?

please read my "feet on the ground " post,the likes of walcott are not going to drop down a level to sign for us,sturridge is only joining us from chelsea because he cant get in their team,we have to gamble on a few signings,top class players want to play in top class teams,i think we all agree that at the moment we are not a top class team,lets keep it real ffs !

cant see us attracting anyone better really,i realise hes a chelsea reject but beggars cant be choosers,if we are to get back amongst the prem elite then we have to make this sort of gamble,the likes of walcott arent going to drop down a standard to join us.

we have got to keep our feet on the ground concerning transfer targets boys,,we are no longer one of the best prem teams,in most cases we will be asking a player to drop down a standard to join us,ie walcot.we should be looking at genuine good prospects such a ince,i fear the likes of walcot are out of our reach now.
