If Ince does come i cant see him getting more than 5, Raheems only got 2 and i would say they are very similar players and occupy the same positions on the pitch.

I think we have too much to do personally and shot ourselves in the foot with our poor dealings in the summer.

Our slow start i think is what would stop us.

One positive i will say is, like you, i think our 2nd half of the season will be better and i expect a cup win from either the FA Cup of Europa League.

We have at the half way mark (ish) of the season 31 goals in the league.

Now as Brendan says we need 70+ goals to break into the top 4.

My concern is where is the next 40 going to come from?

Sturridge coming in is a big plus, if he ends up with 10 or more goals by May i would say hes nailed it, but i think this is a big ask for the lad coming into a new team and developing an understanding with team mates etc.

Now looking at that list it would seem that goals from the midfield are in short supply in the league, going forward this needs improving. If Rodgers as we expect is to make 1 more signing i would suggest going out an getting a midfielder who knows where the net is.

In terms of what we got now, Luis is going get 20+ this year i know it, you know it and with Lucas back i would expect Stevie to push on and get around 10. Henderson and Allen really need to get involved also, as does Downing and Jonjo.

In conclusion id think we would be lucky to get 60 odd this year and therefore falling short on 4th.

Sahin, coming back from a badly broken nose, 3rd round cup tie at mansfield would not help this situation.
