  1. Any chance that manure fans will stop their obscene chanting about the 96 now? Not a hope in hell methinks. Tribal hatred makes despicable wankers out of already-confirmed nobheads. Of course, we could lead by example and stop that stupid Munich chant.....
  2. Justice will not be done until those guilty of the gross negligence leading directly to the deaths of the 96 and the resulting cover up are brought to book. They must be seen to pay for their crimes; that might at least bring some sort of closure to the bereaved families but it will never heal the deep wounds that all involved will carry with them for the rest of their days. Every LFC fan already knew that there'd been a cover up but it's deeply satisfying to have the facts out in the open at long last. David Cameron's finest hour.
  3. Until BR has direct control over the choice of transfers targets and is able to provide the impetus to finish deals quickly, we are wide open to the August 31st clusterf**k being repeated. In fairness to him, FSG's obsession with getting the wage bill down at all costs and their unwillingness to back him financially to get in the players he required (Sigurdsson, Dempsey and God knows who else) basically removed the ground from under his feet. My read is that he trusted FSG and their puppet Ayre to arrive Dempsy as a sort of replacement for Carroll and they did a number on him. Agreed, it would have been prudent to have an alternative for Dempsy lined up as the days of the window ticked down, but this failure might also be placed at the feet of FSG's cost-cutting antics. The jury is sensibly still out on Rodgers but I'm thinking that it's just about to return a 'guilty' verdict on the current owners.
  4. Despite relieving us of the debt that D & D saddled us with (for this relief much thanks), FSG are currently overestimating by quite a lot the capacity of bs and spin that LFC supporters will easily swallow. They seem to have totally overelooked the fact that we have been down this road in the recent past and the wounds are still raw; honesty is always to be respected even if it's a painfull honesty and had they have come out with a clear statement to the effect that financial cutbacks were absolutely vital to the club's well being we wouldn't have liked it but we could have understood it. As it is the inconclusive letter issued by Mr Henry has done nothing to placate the vast majority of LFC fans regarding which direction the club is headed I'm pretty certain. Actually I could go on in this vein for pages but suffice is to say that FSG appear to have lost a great deal of support and goodwill from LFC fans after the August 31st fubar and have it all to do again; personally speaking I'm not at all sure that they're up to that task.
