  1. I'd say somebody who knowingly injects performance enhancing drugs into their body and proceeds to punch people in the head is far worse than somebody who throws a few objects at a bus.
  2. It definitely won't hurt the PPV numbers and they've just saved money on 6 fighters purses. Dana White taking the moral high ground is laughable as well. If McGregor wanted to fight in May, the UFC would book it straight away. Khabib and his gob shite shit house manager didn't bother getting off the bus so fuck them anyway the bullies.
  3. McGregor's sound, he did what any mate would do when his friends been bullied. When Nate Diaz and Conor agree on something, you know it's right.
  4. Whyte probably beats this clean version of Povetkin, he isn't that good at all. Pulev jabs both their heads off though.
  5. Inoue moving up and McDonell is massive at the weight, I can't really see a stoppage based on size alone. I thought Pulev / Breazeale has been called as a final eliminator, did Breazeale pull out? EDIT: I've just read that Breazeale did pull out because he's probably fighting Wilder next.
  6. Honestly agree with this, if you listen to the White Rhino podcast Dave Allen said he's only been tested once in his career and that was for the Lenroy Thomas first fight, the testing in England is very lax. He might have come off the juice because he plans on going to America to fight Miller next. He definitely needs to be off it if he wants to fight Wilder because the WBC testing catches everybody. He does look different though, he needed to lose some of that bulk but he almost looks like he's crashed weight.
  7. Yeah I don't think Parker has much of a chance either, unless he has a monster chin and can take Joshua past 5/6 when we know AJ will gas, I haven't been impressed in him once and I even thought he lost the Ruiz Jr fight when he won the belt. He's going to make about £5/6m on Saturday and I doubt we'll even see him again after that. Whyte / Wilder will do good numbers on PPV over here, so Hearn will make money regardless. Its his easy way of cashing out on Whyte. Even if he took such a battering that Joshua / Whyte 2 wasn't really sellable, you'll always be able to sell out the o2 for Whyte / Chisora 2.
  8. I'd love Parker to beat Joshua like you said, only problem is there's a rematch clause. Couldn't agree more with this, Wilder was going to fight Povetkin and Ortiz - he's said on numerous occasions that he isn't massively money motivated he just wants big fights, so Hearn's tactic of offering him a career high purse to fight somebody he has little to no interest in fighting is way off. Hearn is hoping Whyte somehow beats Wilder so it's all in house and even if he doesn't, a few easy fights and Joshua/Whyte 2 is still sellable.
  9. Haha I thought that myself, his return fight was against somebody who said he learnt how to box on Youtube.
  10. As much as I love Chisora, he's properly washed up now. I don't really see him causing any version of Fury any problems.
  11. I think Fury is going to sign with Matchroom, I (think) he's been promised to be a PPV fighter. It'll be a comeback fight on PPV (which Hearn already said any comeback fight/opponent would be PPV on an IFL interview), then I assume to keep him going as a PPV fighter it'll be Whyte or Bellew on PPV, then Joshua. Easy route to Joshua and Fury would make about £20m. Fury / Chisora 3 would be a decent comeback fight, plus the casuals know who Chisora is, or maybe somebody like a Lenroy Thomas. It has to be somebody very beatable but durable and who the general public half know.
  12. Whyte beating Wilder would be the start of a real boxing dominance from Hearn. It's the last thing we need. I can't see it happening though, Whyte is terrible and beating an overweight shit head like Browne doesn't change that. Honestly the Price fight is a joke, Povetkin hasn't looked good at all since he got off the PEDs, but he'll highlight reel KO Price so the casuals will love it - Hearn will be happy to put Joshua in with him knowing he's shit and sell it as Joshua beating up a drugs cheat. I can't see Joshua / Wilder or Joshua / Fury anytime soon. I still think we'll see Joshua / Haye before either of them (if Haye beats Bellew like) because let's be honest, Joshua / Haye still makes serious money and it's hardly a risky fight for Joshua anymore.
  13. The Price fight is a joke and when he's fast asleep on the canvas after a dangerous knock-out, I hope all involved in making it happen, have a good look at themselves.
  14. Fully on-board the Ritson hype train me, I like fighters that burst onto the scene like him because you know he's done the small hall circuit first. There's something about the small hall scene that readies a fighter better than being an Olympian who has all the media attention and is on big shows from their debut. Ritson said he will fight anybody and I get the impression he would. Browne is a disgrace, I think that fight just proved that he was on PEDs and it wasn't all some conspiracy set up like he tells people. I'm glad he got sparked the fat mess, even though Whyte has become intolerable, I'm sick of heavyweights coming in heavy and gassing after two/three rounds because they haven't bothered to train properly.
  15. Can't really defend Canelo after two failed tests, fucking cheating ginger cunt
  16. I'm not really arsed if he does or doesn't rip him, but don't take the moral high ground calling him a cheat and still go ahead with the fight. Canelo probably is cheating, most of them will be but the levels he's been caught with aren't enough to indicate full doping and he passed tests a few days either side.
  17. You're about £460 short. Golovkin can get to fuck, you either call off the fight and give Canelo hell to the media or you continue with the fight and shut up. He's the one who signed off on the fight still happening, if he puts money before what's right then that's fine, but don't try and take the high ground once you have. For what it's worth, I actually believe Canelo. He tested clean 3 days prior and 5 days after the negative test.
  18. The Saunders card hadn't even done 2000 tickets at the o2, absolutely stinks of a fake pull out that. Warren is famous for them, if Saunders was undecided on if he should remain loyal to Frank or sign with Eddie surely this must be it. It's been rescheduled to June 23rd, but it'll end up being cancelled depending on the Canelo / Golovkin fighting. This weekends card is great for a Saturday night on Sky. Browne and Ritson by stoppage and Buglioni on points are my predictions.
  19. I ended up catching it Sunday morning nursing a horrible hangover. It was my birthday on Saturday so I went out after the match, I'm convinced people celebrate St Patrick's day in Liverpool just as much as they do in Ireland.
  20. I think I'll go to the Leonard and Duran Q&A myself, Leonard is always good to listen to. Did anybody see the Vadejo fight? He got stopped, everybody was high on him a few years ago but he's been plagued by injuries and inactivity. What a shame.
  21. The UFC is really picking up purse wise and fighters are negotiating far better deals for the PPV backend. McGregor and Jon Jones make tens of millions every time they fight.
  22. UFC fighters are paid pretty well now, especially the mid-card fighters, they used to get about 5-10k but pretty much most shit heads in the UFC get about 30/50k a fight now. Boxing has far too many big promoters to have just the one belt, or even two really. It only works in MMA because the UFC basically run the entire sport. You'd have too many belts being held hostage in boxing, it's even creeping into the UFC now. I'd love to see Valdez vs either Selby or Frampton.
  23. Hearn saying Quigg had a stress fracture in his foot so wasn't able to cut weight for most of the camp, but Quigg said he was 3lbs over the day before the fight which is what he always has been before and last bit of weight would shift. The entire camps full of shit, they took the chance on being overweight/winning and it backfired. I'm made up. There's always confusion between most prestigious and best to win. The WBA and the WBC will always be the most "prestigious" because they were the first and the WBC title is absolutely stunning, but the IBF closed it's doors due to corruption, so even though they're very strict on their rules now, they'll always have a black mark against them. The WBO is definitely better to win than the WBA, mainly down to their interim and regular "world titles", but it isn't more prestigious. I think the WBA was first, then the WBC came along as they thought Mexican's weren't getting a fair chance to win a world title, the IBF was formed as a sort of white knight to come in and follow the rules making it fair for everybody and the WBO was made for the same reason as the WBC but giving European fighters a chance. The worrying thing is, whilst the WBA and WBC were always recognised as legitimate world titles, the IBF and WBO were shunned for years and years, until eventually they were accepted by the HOF as world titles. Will it be long before the IBO is considered a legitimate title? Joshua and Golovkin say in interviews that they value the belt. I'd be happy with the WBO being recognised if it meant the WBA was jibbed though. After saying in 2016 that they wanted all regular titles dissolved by 2019, they've made 6 NEW regular championship belts.
  24. What an absolute fuck up by Quigg, it'll look even worse if he wins and doesn't even have a belt to tempt Frampton into the rematch.
  25. I think Valdez hits too hard and Quigg blocks punches with his face nowadays, so I'm going Valdez late stoppage but I could easily see Valdez being a hype job and getting "exposed" in his first real test because he hasn't looked good in his last two fights at all.
