  1. update. after a bit of a panic where we didn't we would get there on time things got better. after ceremony{ which is three hours of my life I will never get back). while the rest did the photo thing I managed to slip away for a couple of pints in the philharmonic. nice to finally visit it. as for meal we went to Hanover street social, everyone enjoyed it so much that we went back next day for breakfast. food was great but also staff were so nice that added to the experience. we passed bistro franc and bistro Jacques and both looked really nice. me and daughters have been to france on holiday for the last two years and are big fans of the food, so they are on the list in the future. anyway thanks guys.
  2. going to echo arena sunday afternoon. wasn't going to park in waterfront anyway as it may be a queue to get out when event finishes. email from echo arena says tells me getting away could be a problem due to works on docks and strand. so where can I park for quickest get away back to tunnel. don't mind paying or walking a bit, just want to get back. early shift Monday.
  3. right guys, have passed on your recommendations and hanover street social seems to be favourite in a something to suit everyone way. apparently we are booked into the strand travel lodge and this brings albert dock into play so they would like your opinions on Gusto, cheers
  4. Bistro Franc ?. looks good. thanks
  5. thanks guys. graduation is at Philharmonic
  6. youngest daughter has her graduation thing at Liverpool uni in December. looking for somewhere decent for a meal after. theres going to be five of us including the ex (deep joy). and the daughters dopey boyfriend so nothing too posh needed. also hotel whithin walking distance. doesn't need to be special, just a bed for the night.
  7. two things, respect for kimmage for his courage. now vindicated. but also the way armstrong handles it. cant think of a footballer who could do that.
