Hodgson, and the team, did well today.
Stevie G did us proud, and it was encouraging to see Henderson play well alomg side him.
Johnson looked good going forwards, but I'm now going to trot out some tired cliches about him being weak defensively that I've heard football hacks say.
Try watching the game.

I am totally enthusiastic about this.
This guy is everything we want and need. He is tactically astute; we know that first hand - they controlled the game at Anfield and beat us at their place.
He insists on possession. INSISTS on it. "If they don't have the ball, they can't score."
He is intelligent and articulate - see any of his interviews on youtube for examples.
He studied in Spain and Holland and speaks fluent Spanish - that alone is worth a thousand bonus points in today's football world.
OK he isn't Rafa but it's a fresh start for us with an entire new structure.
I can't wait for for next season.

Hope they go down, the inbred twats. Hate that non-kop clapping stinking tramp of a keeper and reo-coker, cunts.
Say what you really think, don't sit on the fence.

Got a couple of quids on City to win with Aguerro & Tevez scoring.
Am hopeful of a Scholes red card as a bonus.

I'm not gonna comment.
I've got a litre of scotch and I'm just going to switch off my computer and go and sit in a darkened room with it for a little bit.

Are you all half asleep?
I'm obviously saying that "hounding out" Kenny is wrong. Im against sacking any manager after one bad year (cough cough, Rafa Benitez). I fully support the man and hope he brings us the title.
But if it wasn't Kenny (and say, some unknown foreigner), many more fans would be a lot more vocal about their disappointment. Surely you can see that? Maybe it isnt hypocrisy though, maybe Kenny has earned that trust.
And yes, Kenny has won a trophy. But you'd have to be pretty deluded to think he hadnt made a fair few mistakes since his appointment. Particularly in the transfer market and the Suarez affair.
Et fucking cetera..
I love it when idiots say this stuff about whoever they're trying to have a go at. The implication being that alternative manager X is perfect and wouldn't have made any mistakes whatsoever. We all know that is bollox and that every single manager has and will make mistakes.

Yes, I hope they get it too. So the football costs more as they've paid more money for the coverage. Great news.
I don't think it's as simple as that.
There is an element of PR here - for instance, have you seen the City website? Lots of free video and stuff. You might find that it is actually cheaper than Sky who are in it purely and simply for profit.

Irony As Anti-Racists Are Xenophobic... | F365
Quality stuff today from F365 - see also Jon Nic's post.
An antidote to the London-centric Harry-cock-suckers that masquerade as journalists these days.

Great post.
I think you've caught the impotent frustration, bordering on rage, that a lot (most) of us are feeling about this issue.
It IS long and yet really it's only a preamble to a deconstruction of that F.A. report.
TBH I wouldn't expect anything other than skewed and snide misrepresentation from the UK media - including the so-called "quality" press. I haven't bought a newspaper for 15 years

Obvious troll is fucking obvious.

Absolute bullshit.
Are you suggesting if there is no evidence something happened, then it didn't happen? Ridiculously naive attitude, that.
It's a massive allegation for Evra to have made and I daresay he didn't make it lightly or for the hell of it or as part of some greater conspiracy. He made it because he obviously thought he was racially abused. If he actually was or not, I guess we'll never know as I don't see it being proved one way or the other now.
No it's not bullshit. It is actually slander and if taken to court, the burden of proof is with the defendant (Evra) to prove his accusations are truthful.

Code72 quotes from this thread:
unless you score at least 70 goals in a league season your chances to win the league are almost non existant.
LFC
08/09: 77
MUFC
08/09: 68
My post was aimed at the best defence wins the league part which is not true in the same degree.
Both the mancs and Chelsea only conceded 24 goals, we conceded 27.
Incoherent.
If we had conceded 1 fewer, or scored 1 more goal 08/09 we would have won the league.
1 goal.

03 Jose Enrique
21 Lucas
07 Suarez
-
It was a reckless challenge. Studs were up. Probably yellow but wtf, we'll have a similar decision to put up with this season.
-
1.Enrique
2.Lucas
3.Suarez
These 3 - though not necessarily in that order.

That's how I see it too. It's actually a skilfully timed challenge that looks like a pretty bad one. But only at first glance.
Rodwell goes in to the tackle with both feet off the ground but changes halfway through the tackle and withdraws his leg, catches the ball and doesn't really present Suarez with too much danger.
Suarez feels the impact, does what any fucking footballer with half a brain would do and rolls with it.
If Rodwell seriously thinks that Atkinson, in the white heat of a derby game, whilst simultaneously unsighted behind the tackle, is going to appreciate the refinement of a supremely well executed tackle that only appears to be a two footed challenge on the surface, then he deserves a red card for sheer fucking stupidity alone.
And as far as all this bollocks about beating ourselves up over a fucking fantastic result because a decision went our way for once, (as opposed to Richardson staying on against Sunderland; which cost us a guaranteed three points in my opinion, that blatant fucking handball not being given at Stoke when we were well on top and were desperate for a breakthrough, etc, etc), then it simply doesn't fucking wash with me.
As soon as United start giving points back to the F.A for every jammy fucking result they somehow grind out, (and they should start by giving the '99 European cup back to Bayern Fucking Munich obviously), then I'm going to worry about us getting the occasional break.
Until then the score remains Everton - 0, Liverpool - 2.
Wake up to that tomorrow morning you coin lobbing bitter cunts.
Exactly. Fuckers are actually happy that they've got an excuse. The thing is it's the same every fucking time. They are ALWAYS ROBBED! Bitches.

ATM sopcast have the most reliable streams available.
Please be prepared to give up on english commentary though - lets face it, its crap anyway and after a while you don't miss it.
The Romanian streams are very good as are the Asian ones.

First time I've listened to this but well impressed.
Excellent interview with Neil Mellor - nice story of him ending up with a loser's medal from Istanbul...

Meaning is arbitrary and in constant flux, associative values often trump etymology. The swastika is a standard icon of eastern religion, after all.
That's not fair - someone knows what they're talking about.
