We are in front of City.
While that remains the case, we're a chance.

Thank FUCK!!!!!!
I wish people would stop banging on about this goal difference now. As I said to one of the loaders at work today who is a ST at Arsenal when he was laughing about GD with us and the performance last night.
GD DOESNT FUCKING MATTER WHEN WE WIN ALL OUR GAMES- Just focus on winning. Period. End topic.
I have no problem with players like Mo being visibly frustrated at being subbed. It was most probably a mixture of "Fuck I wasnt at my best today"; with "come on boss I will score here" not just pissed at being subbed because he's undroppable.
Seeing his reaction to us going 2-1 up was enough to know he didnt care about being on the pitch any more.
So onto Sunday we go. Do not play the occasion. Play them as being second/third in league (I presume by the time we play sunday) against 6th who have won 1 game in 5. Thats how we need to play sunday. Let Utd play the occasion. Let them fly into tackles; let them berate the ref; let them pick up cards.
But more importantly; Just win Reds!!!
And what about City's goal difference?

Seems de Valera will never live down the condolences he sent in 1945.

Decent stuff, this. Not as repetitive as the other threads (yet) and plenty of snark on every page. Keep it going.

You hypocritical middle-aged cunt.
So some political threads should be more equally sequestered than others?

Oh how were missing his, er, leadership (?) qualities this season.
We've been well down in the pointing department.

In the overall scheme of things, a hefty irrelevance.

Haaland is clearly not their son. They’ve obviously found him, wandering and confused in the Norwegian mountains, brought him home, kept him, and only realised that they’ve ‘adopted’ a mountain troll infant as he’s grown up. Best hope his real parents never see a television or magazine picture, otherwise Code will have to authorise military action on home soil.
Perhaps he's Quisling's great-grandson.

Saruman created him out of the mud.

Just watching the highlights from Sky.
Jamie Carragher gets paid for this? What the fuck is he farting on about for Diaz's goal? He's clearly onside when Mo heads the ball in and then the touch from Veltman is unmistakable. Is Carra trying to get a job in VAR, chatting shit about offside in a situation like that?
You're right.
I was watching with that other nuftie, Beglin, commentating... and he craps on about the Veltman touch and I assumed Diaz was off-side, and therefore I thought it was one of those unjust things where a defender is penalised for playing the ball in good faith.
But Diaz was well on, so everything else is fucking irrelevant for once.

Ease up on him. He’s had a lot of mental health issues. These days I think he sees it as a match day ritual to ensure we win.This.
It's his style.
No big deal.

Haaland's boring and one-dimensional. If people want to interpret that as saying he's shit, go ahead.

I'm more in the "don't give a shit" camp.
If he ends up with 50 goals this season, and we win the League, happy days.

Gone a bit too young, by today's standards. RIP.

Ideally, perhaps, we might wish we were paid sufficiently well enough to be able, in good faith and only very very occasionally, to work on a weekend or bank holiday without extra pay.
Wishful thinking perhaps.

The 77 cup final, the worse result against these ever, robbing us of the treble, is on a par with this. I still have the scars from 77.
I still haven't recovered from it, and have never trusted a fixture against them ever since.

But they were shit in this game, that's the point. None of this "form book goes out of the window". It has done in the past, for both sides. We've won games we had no right to based on the league table, but we did it by raising our game.
That's not what happened here. They were shite and were really easy to play against. Not winning that game is all about us, nothing to do with anything they did.
That might well go to my point as well as yours though, dave.
They were shit and still managed to score 4 goals.
Just like we were an ordinary side last year, but looked like Real Madrid 1960 against them when we scored 7.
Then, who would have predicted 0-0 at Anfield earlier this season too.
These games, this rivalry is mercurial.

Exactly.
People continue to search for "why's" about Liverpool/United games, and the answer is historically pretty clear.
