Fair points. However the main reason we didn't finish above twelfth was because of the Europa League and Fa Cup run. That took a lot out of us. And when you consider that the average age of the Fulham squad is about 31, it's not really surprising that we didn't do great in the Premier league. We also have a limited squad. We got injuries to Danny Murphy, Johnny Pantsil, Clint Dempsey, Bobby Zamora, Simon Davies, Damien Duff. All missed over 3 weeks of the season, we have no youngsters good enough to replace them. As a result we underachieved. Hodgson spends ages working on the shape of the team and it clearly pays dividends. When defending we have a tight back 4, a bank of four in midfield covering the defenders and the strikers defending from the front. When attacking he has a playmaker in midfield, Danny Murphy, but he is also the essential to the defensive side of the game. He uses a target man and another playmaker (Gera) or a poacher (Johnson) Roy deserves his chance, albeit I would be loathe to see him go, I would wish him well if he did.

Whats with all the hate for Roy Hodgson? Mark my words, he is a great great coach. He would revitalize your team.

A Fulham fan here lads. Roy would be an absolutely immense appointment for you lot. He would have your club sorted out on the pitch within a year. He would be able to get the best out of Babel etc. His only downpoints are: His reluctance to use his subs. He is a bit naff at signing forwards and finally he uses big words that you lot wouldn't be able to understand :thumbup: But seriously, he would be the best appointment for Liverpool, I hope he doesn't go though.
