The option is to give him £20m to go. Where does that come from? Who do we get in to replace him? How will they make it better? Name another Manager with better credentials who will want to come in these conditions. On top of that, other clubs are growing at a massive rate. As I said above, our club is being fecked over whilst others are having the opposite fortunes. Spurs, City & Villa are at worst stable and at best playing Football Manager 2010. 4th? Its the best Liverpool Football Club can ever get in these conditions. You think different, you're having a huge fecking laugh. Mourinho, Wenger & Ferguson in a Management Dream Team would do well to get us to 4th. 4th is the new Champions as far as we are concerned. We get 4th this year, City will buy Henry, Messi, Torres, or whoever they bloody well feel like to get to 4th next year. Liverpool will sell Torres and hope to get a Morrocan on Pre-contract to replace him. Bellends getting interviewed on Sky will still be giving it "We should be challenging". Get real FFS. The days of us challenging under G&H are over. We WERE challenging and it was under this Manager only 12 months ago. Money is THE key to football nowadays. Look at every league in Europe. You can almost draw up the finishing places by looking at the £££ of each club. Yes you'll get odd exceptions and 4th this season for Liverpool will be an odd exception for us. It won'y happen next year with Benitez. It won't happen next year with Mourinho as he won't be here. And it won't happen next year with the Sam Allardyce half of our "support" deserve. WHEN we have the same summer as last year whilst City spend £250m, Chelsea £100m, Arsenal £50m and United finally spend the Ronaldo money how the fuck are we meant to challenge? When gobshites want us to sell Mascherano so we can afford to sack Benitez, where will these fans be when we are managed by the Allardyce you are wishing for?

Its true though. Read something other than tabloid bollocks. Listen to what the club said early summer 2009. watch what happened afterwards. See the Manager buy a full-back and tell the World we'll strengthen before we sell. see the opposite happen. Well, he's clever enough to have you believing the team should be in the Champions Legue Final every year when we were having parties for just qualifying for the thing before he arrived. Odd that we now should win the title, and should win the Champions League, and if we don't Benitez has made us worse. Short memories on here. Think about it. We were 30 points worse than United when he arrived and you expect us to beat them and Chelsea to the title under the conditions in which he is working. Chelsea have just been able to write off £700m of debt. That's seven. hundred. million. Think about that for a second when you read some of the "net spend" debate above. Wake up and realise that with them, and now City, being able to buy whoever they like if things go wrong, and being able to pay wages miles above what their turnover allows, there is absolutely no chance of us getting near the title...... but we did get near the title, very near...... yet you give no credit to the Manager for it. Benitez has had a lower net spend than Everton in the last year. Tottenham's net spend in 12 months is higher than Benitez's in 6 years. Liverpool will have precisely zero to spend in the summer unless we sell Torres or Mascherano and then he won't be given the funds he gets in, yet people will still expect a title challenge and Champions League knock-out stages as a minimum. 4th place? It will be a fecking miracle if we can stay there this year and a bigger one if we repeat it next year.
