  1. New fabric woven 'JUSTICE FOR ALL' wristbands, white with red text, these bands close with a plastic clasp. '96' is also printed each side of the clasp. These only cost £2 with all proceeds going to the HJC, they are available from the 'Hat,Scarf or Badge' shop by the Flat Iron Pub or eBay. Nice wristbands these, just something a little different from the red silicone ones which are currently available plus if you've already got one of those these may be of interest to you as well. After costs are covered all proceeds go to the HJC. First Class postage in the UK is £1 for 1 to 6 bands. Wristbands are 190 mm in length. To raise most money for the HJC it's best buy the wristbands over the counter at the 'Hat, Scarf or Badge' shop if you can't make it there on match day they are available on eBay (but after sellers fees and paypal take there cut there's only a small profit margin on such low cost items) These wristbands look smart, wear them with pride and help spread the word. Liverpool FC / Hillsborough Wristbands | eBay Cheers Mike
  2. In rememberance of all the victims of Hillsborough, my thoughts are with all their families and friends at this time of year... The Month of December We’re in the month of December I’ve just seen a village tree being lit. Under that tree ‘presents’ were stacked and on top pretty angels sit. We’re in the month of December, parties and family gatherings take hold. But spare a thought for 96 people who have been left out in the cold. We’re in the month of December, Christmas talk on everybody’s lips. Liverpool City Centre is crowded with people on festive shopping trips. But for 96 people, a different sort of Christmas present awaits for those. As prayers and thoughts you can’t wrap up, and where do I send this rose? We’re in the month of December and many a family Christmas won’t be complete. At that Christmas table once again, there sadly remains that empty seat. But may I offer this comforting thought, because I know it comforts me? The 96 angels that light up heaven shine brighter than any Christmas tree.
  3. Booklet sold out in the HJC shop, more copies in next week.
  4. Booklet sold quite well in the HJC shop yesterday, so thanks to anyone reading this that bought a copy!
  5. Tell me about it:smile: Thanks for that. eBay accounts, paypal accounts, not my cup of tea al ofl this, my head is chocker with loads of new passwords, links and item numbers. Think it's all sorted now, sold a few of eBay today so I think it's all o.k now.
  6. 'We are THE KOP....of Liverpool FC' Sorry, had to relist the booklet on eBay as I wrongly listed it as just 1 item available, and as that sold last night the listing was ended. Relisted now (with 5O for sale!) New Item Id: 160689129389
  7. ebay item:1606885624346 The booklet is called 'We are THE KOP of Liverpool FC'
  8. ^^ Yeah, that's the famous 'drone' alright, it came across great on the telly once and I'll always remember Gerald Sinstad saying 'there's a strange sound coming from Kop' :D This booklet should be available on ebay if I've done it right (not sold anything on ebay before!) The booklet will be a set price of £3 (plus £1 postage in the UK) or pick up free if you're local.
  9. Just put together a new 32 page booklet of poems full of funny stories and personal memories from the Kop. It also contains loads of facts, figures, stats, colour/ B/W pics etc. Some of the subjects are the Inter night froze and were taken apart in 65, the amazing 3-0 game against Auxerre (in front of a half empty Kop!) Boys Pen stuff, Dr Fun, Kop Choir L.P, The Kop 'Drone' (remember it?) the Grimsby 'fishing names' night etc etc. The last game against Norwich and tributes to the 96 are of course also covered. Opposing goalies crop up a bit as well, Banks, Sprake, Jennings, Gordon West (the hand bags:D ) The book also tells how I bunked into a deserted Kop after the farewell gig with these young kids, while they nicked all the stuff from the snack bar, I got the wooden price list that was just lying on the floor. It still hangs proudly on the kitchen wall to this day. This booklet is only £3 and will be available from the HJC shop hopefully in time for the City game (or directly off me) a 50p donation to the HJC will be made from each issue sold. cheers.
  10. 'Don't Buy The Sun' Demo Day. Sat 13th Aug 11.30 am. HJC shop Flags, banners, leaflets posters, booklets and education. Be there if you can!!
  11. By the way only the title of this has something to do with The Fields of Athenry, it's just a stand alone thing, not set to the tune or anything.
  12. The Glorious Fields of Anfield Road All round the fields of Anfield Road, 96 supporters will sadly never again go. As they now look down on their beloved Anfield from the warmth of Heavens glow. And to some of those younger fans, the Anfield stadium was their new shrine. One such kopite was just a 10 year old boy, taken away well before his time. All round the fields of Anfield Road, fans come together for every Liverpool game. Fans of every club in the country on match day, you’ll find will do exactly the same. But Anfield will always be set apart, as so much raw emotion it now has to bring. As our home is now 96 voices short, no matter how loud the Spion Kop may sing. All round the fields of Anfield Road, I first went there as a young lad in sixty eight. The Kop immediately owned my heart, and for my next game I could hardly wait. Anfield was such a magical place, not just the ground but every surrounding street. But those streets are now tinged with a lasting sadness and to me no longer a treat. All round the fields of Anfield Road today I walk, and recall memories old and new. I look at the most recent flowers and messages, and I add my own message too. Some of those beautiful flowers may be starting to wilt, slowly dying they may be. Soon the wind will take those dying petals away and I realise I’m so lucky to be free. All round the fields of Anfield Road, we’ll remember all of those that died in our name. They’ll be treasured as much as any of our legends, no matter how great was their fame. Whatever the future has in store for us, be it more success or heavy burdens to unload. The victims of Hillsborough will never be forgotten round the glorious fields of Anfield Road.
  13. Now that the season is over and there's no match day money to fork out, why not send some dosh the HJC's way by popping in the shop and buying a copy of this book. The HJC shop obviously gets most people in on home match days, so now the season is over it can get a bit quiet in there over the summer. So for the price of £6 you can get a copy of this book which hammers home the facts over Hillsborough, and pulls no punches in ripping into people behind the lies and covers up. As Brian Reade kindly said in his Mirror's column ' I urge you to buy this book' (Thanks to those who have already done so !) Great mention of this book in the new issue of the Well Red mag, so many thanks to editor Gareth Roberts for that.
  14. Bump... £6 gets you a book that dispells all the lies and myths they tried to tell and create about us, a book that gets stuck into a whole bunch of corrupt lying bastards and a book written to raise awareness of post traumatic stress disorder, not bad going for £6. For the price of a couple of pints this Sunday, pop into the HJC shop and buy a copy..cheers ! It can still be ordered elesewhere other than the HJC shop of course,if you can't get to the match Some Liverpool Libraries have the book on order which is great, Libraries are not obliged to stock every book that's published,so it's nice to see it's been acknowleged in that way. JUSTICE AND THE TRUTH FOR ALL.
  15. ^^ Cheers mate! Match day bump.. Some books in the HJC shop and in the 'hat scarf or a badge 'shop next to the Flat Iron, don't forget the HJC helped me fund this book, before they even see any profits they have to sell quite a few copies to break even, so as ever do your best to buy a copy....cheers.
  16. Gareth Roberts editor of Well Red mag got in touch to say he'd give the book a mention in the end of season issue of 'Well Red' That's great cos it's important to realise the stress and strain on some people regarding Hillsborough can be a round the clock thing and not just at the time of the anniversary, so although the book recieved lots of publicity around April 15th I'll be pushing to get further promotion whenever possible all year round. So many thanks to Gareth for his help on this occasion.
  17. Match day bump....a few copies of this book in the HJC shop and maybe the 'hat scarf or a badge' shop (by the Flat Iron) will have some copies. Or if you fancy going to St Georges Hall over this weekend for the Radio Merseyside Big History Weekend event the book will be on sale there at the countyvise bookstall. Buy a Hillsborough book and raise some dosh for the HJC all for £6! Cheers!
  18. Think it looks brilliant, most things have been done at footy matches before it's just a case of nicking them or simply reintroducing them. Rememeber Everton doing a good bounce in the 60's but our swaying Kop was far better! Our Kop is quite boring now, and I reckon City have got one on us here, imagine The Kop doing 'the poznan' it'd look amazing and doubtless we'd claim to be the best fans in the world for doing it!
  19. Linda McDermott on Radio Merseyside talked about this book in length on the 14th,she rightly highlighted the foreword written by Rachel King and the fact that an appearance of Kelvin McKenzie on NewsNight ultimately led to her dad taking his own life in 2007. It's on Radio Merseynight iplayer if you'd like to hear the show again, didn't hear it all myself but I think the main parts about Hillsborough are before and after the midnight news. LFC TV also featured this book on the Liverpool Library programme last night and there was a great piece in this weeks LFC Weekly about it, and Linda also mentioned it again on last nights show. The support from all sides of the media have been fantastic regarding this book, many thanks to Brian Reade, Linda McDermott, Ken Rogers, Chris McLoughlin and Matt Walker in particular. This is all about raising awareness of PTSD and hopefully make a few quid for the HJC along the way, so if you can spare £6 do your best to buy a copy.....cheers!
  20. Not sure, but think this book will also be featured in the new edition of LFC Weekly (out tomorrow)
  21. Thanks to Chris McLoughlin for the great piece on this book in the new KOP magazine (May issue) This write up really tells it the way it is, and the fact that after an appearance by Kelvin MacKenzie in 2007 on TV, a season ticket holder who survived the disaster but suffered from PTSD as a result of it took his own life. This is what this book is out to highlight, cases like the one above which go under the radar and to show that the suffering and loss of life due to Hillsborough still goes on, and that's why the fight for Justice and the truth also goes on. I think the book is also featured on The Liverpool Library programme this week.
  22. Match day bump.... a few copies of this book in the HJC shop & the 'Hat, scarf or a badge 'shop (by the Flat Iron) This is the write up Brian Reade put up on Saturdays Daily Mirror website. Next Friday sees the 22nd anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster and as usual there will be a service at Anfield to remember the 96 who died. But what's become clear over the years is that it wasn't just 96 people who failed to come back from Sheffield that day. Some fans who were affected by the traumatic events took their own lives, others never returned to the person they were before April 15th 1989. Which is why I want to mention a book by Mike Bartram called The Nightmare of Hillsborough, dedicated to "all the victims without a number." It has a very moving foreword by a woman called Rachel King whose dad Ronnie was at Hillsborough, lost a friend who was with him, and suffered horrendous post-traumatic stress until he committed suicide in 2007. It's a poignant, sad and angry collection of poetry whose aim is to raise awareness of post-traumatic stress disorder and funds for the on-going justice campaign. You can buy it on Amazon, eBay or from the publisher Countyvise. I urge you to. Nice one Brian, great journo on our side that really cares.
  23. Somebody told me that When Saturday comes (WSC) have give this book a small mention on their website. If so that's good, it'll help spread the word to all decent minded footy fans out there (especially the younger ones who might not know the score) what really went on that day.
  24. Anyone in the Knotty Ash area, 'Nazda' on the corner of Eaton Rd/ E.Prescot Rd have a few copies in. All proceeds to the HJC from these sales.
  25. The new Hillsborough poetry called The Nightmare of Hillsborough went into publication this week. At the moment it's just available to buy direct from the publisher(Countyvise Limited) Within a couple of days the book will be in full circulation and will be able to order/buy at all major book retailers or online via Amazon, Ebay etc. This book has been a bit of a long, hard slog to be honest but I'm really happy with the final result. The Nightmare of Hillsborough contains 70 poems and 17 pages of colour photographs. 8 poems are related directly to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) The book aims to raise awareness of this mental illness, which many survivors of Hillsborough are stlll suffering from to this day. The foreword was written by Rachel King, her dad (Ronnie) was a sufferer of PTSD after surviving the disaster, sadly he took his own life in 2007. The book also makes it very clear that our fight for Justice & the Truth is still very much onging. I know times are a bit hard at the moment financially, but please do your best to buy a copy of this book. The 'hat scarf or a badge' shop by the ground have also kindly decided to sell the book (all proceeds to the HJC) cheers ....mike
