That’s mad if it is someone who posted on here!

The only mad part about it being someone from on here is that the GF has been around this long and this will be the first member to be locked up for being a deviant.

You can make the argument that Luiz is of more use to our squad than Naby because he is healthy enough to play 3000 minutes/season

Being of more use to the squad than Naby isn't exactly difficult.

I'd be more use to the squad than Naby and I'm absolutely shite at football, have two fucked knees, a hernia, dodgy ankles, neck problems and two herniated discs.

However, I'm used to actually doing my job despite being in pain so would definitely be available more than that useless fucker.

I reckon the Russian economy is booming in much the same way the North Korean one is. As in, not really, but you'll end up with an anti aircraft gun up your arse if you report the wrong figures.

I've heard Mook is booking a flight to Moscow as we speak.

I've been told we made an enquiry about ward-prowse last week. I don't know if anything more has come of it.

If FSG have petitioned for the use of a designated hitter and he just comes on for set pieces that could work.

If Chelsea are switching their attention to Zaha (final year of contract, much better than Gordon) then it might make sense for them to sell as part of the deal.

Why would Chelsea want Zaha? All he can do is run fast, other than that he's shite.

Oh yeah, the rewatch is even better.

Worth remember when people are bitching about diversity etc; Larry David transplanted an entire black family into the middle of his show for the flimsy of reasons and then made the black character his roommate and one of the great comedic characters of all time.

Don't forget that he's also crazy eyed killahs Caucasian

Australian police seize record $1.6bn of crystal meth (rte.ie)

Australian police said they had seized some A$1.6 billion (€1.1bn) worth of crystal meth, also known as 'ice', concealed within marble stones in several sea freight containers, in what it said was the biggest ever haul of the drug in the country.

More than 1,800 kg of methylamphetamine was found in containers arriving in Sydney port over recent weeks hidden in marble stone slabs, New South Wales (NSW) state police said in a statement.

Just over 1,000 kg of methylamphetamine was found in the latest seizure, police said this morning, after about 750 kg of ice was confiscated last week.

"The capability that this syndicate has demonstrated to us, in terms of volume and size is enormous. These figures are staggering," NSW Detective Chief Superintendent John Watson said during a media briefing.

All shipments originated in the Middle East region with the consignment details of both drug seizures identical, Chief Supt Watson said.

No charges have been made in relation to the latest seizure but police had arrested three men over the drugs found last week.

Methylamphetamine, commonly referred to as methamphetamineor by its street name of ice or crystal meth, is one of the most potent varieties of the amphetamine drug.

The name 'ice' became popular due to its white little 'crystals' and glass-like appearance.

    Street value.

Everyone has the choice. You'll make yours. This horrific event should be the wake up call the city needs to start to reclaim our communities.

Start by stopping the normalisation of drugs and crime. Shame those in it and stop contributing to the culture. It won't stop over night but it's a start.

    Feel we agree fundamentally.

We've been shaming those in it since the war on drugs began. It's not been even close to effective.

Not all are, but the majority of addicts are a product of trauma and the drugs become self medication. Heaping shame on top of them, demonising them and treating them as sub human is not a solution to that.

Seriously, how many people on this forum have actually looked at the changes made in Portugal and Switzerland and seen what occurred?

Or indeed, as we are on a Liverpool forum, the work of John Marks which actually happened in the city loads of TLW users are from?

The only examples of prohibition we have are alcohol in the 1920's and the drug war which followed that. Neither of which worked. Yet the examples of decriminalisation have seen improvements and typically seen the number of users go down.

So we have a 100% record of failing with prohibition and a 100% record of decriminalisation achieving something approaching what we apparently want to happen, albeit without being a perfect solution. And people are arguing we need more of the former.

As I said, you are deliberately conflating two (actually more) completely separate issues.

‘Mexico’ is a completely different issue to tory government policy here directly causing an increase in antisocial behaviour/drug use/misuse of drug deaths/knife crime etc.

Careful, someone might think you might have a reason to try and deliberately conflate the two.

    It's what he does.

Was the same on the legalisation thread when he went off talking about the Sacklers and completely ignored anything relating to instances where lenience and actually treating addicts as humans was successful.

Thinks the illegal drugs being legal shouldn't happen because of the opioid crisis within a regulated market. But then wants current drugs left illegal, totally unregulated and in the hands of criminals.

As he's someone who has political opinions for money for a living, the cynic in me can't help but think that he's not altogether honest in this shit either. I reckon Spanner had him nailed for exactly what he his when Willard was still on his Kurtz username.

Yeah those 33,000 Mexican drug deaths last year were obviously down to Uk government spending cuts. It’s a typical liberal cop out, blame the Government rather than own up to any culpability. Every occasional drug user is contributing to these deaths.

I see despite reading The Corner you're still not able to see beyond your previous views on drugs. You're completely incapable of looking at anything that doesn't fit into your bullshit narrow view. Same on the legalisation thread you started, totally ignored any posts pointing to Switzerland or Portugal and the successes had there with decriminalisation and treating drug addicts as the health issue they are instead of viewing them as criminals and pieces of shit. Instead you fuck off waffling about Sackler as you have no response to it. You have a tiny narrow viewpoint of what drives an addict and you have absolutely zero clue of it at all.

You're disingenuous at best, with your bullshit act on here. Bruce Spanner had you dead right previously.

Also, those deaths are in fact a direct results of the drug war which is supported by our government because successive governments haven't had the fucking balls to tell America to go fuck itself with the bullshit it's forcing the rest of the world to adopt.

Our government also clearly does not give a fuck about the laundering of the proceeds considering the majority of it is done in the square mile.

Everyone involved in the production of drugs, sales of drugs etc. all the way down the chain would be robbed off all of their power, influence and money the instant it's not illegal.

Got tickets for a Leverkusen game in a few weeks, so look forward to me coming on here two weeks after the deadline to say we should have signed Wirtz.

edit: actually, is there anything more recent about that Neuhaus guy? From BMG.

I've not seen him play much but compared to the likes Ketia and Oxlade-Chamberlain he certainly wouldn't be our Wirzt midfield signing.

There's tougher sentencing and also making sure these dregs dont benefit from their crimes.

Im talking rigourous enforcement of Proceed of Crime Act and the likely tangled web they go through to hide the stuff they have. You know, the car, house, holiday home, expensive watches, anything etc in the wife or partner's name so it cant be touched.

Fuck that shit, it's obvious where the money's come from to buy all those things.

Doesn't work and has never worked.

We've been trying prohibition for 100 years and it's achieved fuck all.

The war on drugs is a moral crusade started as a religious/racist crusade by the Americans and forced upon the rest of the world.

It has achieved absolutely fuck all other than to increase the violence and demonise the users.

Take a look at Switzerland and Portugal, it's not all rosey in the garden but they've actually seen massive improvements AND a reduction in usage.

I find it one of those shows that you feel it should be brilliant, but it struggles to hold my attention at times. It's ok and watchable, but I can't say I'm excited season 3 has landed. In fact I don't remember what has happened up to now!

I got to the end of the first season and didn't have any enthusiasm for it.

There should be some good stuff in there, it just doesn't seem to work for me and I just found it really dull.

The only memorable thing about it is Sarah Shahi looking absolutely fucking incredible throughout. Other than that I can barely remember a thing about it.

Unfortunately if you criminalise an entire market, criminals will take over that market, and you get tragedies like these.

We could end drug crime overnight, but nobody will do it.

I'm sure that victory in the drug war is just around the corner. It's only been about 100 years of prohibition, you can't expect results immediately.

There's deffo an art to getting follows and likes on social media, be it Twitter or linkedin. Pictures of dogs (especially on the former) and anything to do with talking about your mental health seem to do the trick.

It's cynical in the extreme. Speaking from experience, if you're having a mental health crisis the absolute last thing you want to do in the whole world is post your shit on social media, on the contrary, withdrawal from stuff like that is often one of the first things that alerts your mates to the fact something is up.

"My depression is really high today guys"

"Inspirational. Thanks for reminding us that it's okay - to not be okay."

I know when I have my particularly low days and even getting out of bed feels like the equivalent of doing a marathon the first thing that occurs to me is how this might impact on my engagement metrics.

Facebook was the tool that fucked up everyones mental health by turning everyone into lying shitbags who do not have the capacity to see the other life which appears to be better than yours is also someone spouting shite.

However, we weren't creating a sick enough society doing that so linked in has come along to transfer that into your working life as well.

What is it with these cunts. The point is progress means we shouldn’t have to live like this anymore.

TLDR for Gordon, "I lived in a shit hole so you should too".

I grew up on a council estate near Newcastle as a kid in the 80's, we only had heating downstairs, obviously no double glazing and I had a single bit of carpet next to the bed to stand on when I got up before putting stuff on my feet. It was cold, it was damp and it was fucking awful basically.

I can't for the life of me get my head around looking at that and thinking it's some kind of halcyon age that we should aspire to.
