  1. Well lads there has been plenty in the media and in general, who have doubted what really went on, those lot are going to have to hold their heads in shame.. I never had any doubt, i was a season ticket holder at maine road from the mid 80's onwards, and you stood in the kippax for ten minutes and i'd be 50 yards away from my mates..its how it was back in the day.. And i know, like you all know, that what happened its one for all, In fact in light of today and in reflection, the actions of the liverpool fans should be fucking commended, going through a unimaginable nightmare like that, but still trying their best to help those in the pens is stuff of hero's... like one scouse lad on talksport said today, the only thing we nicked that day, was the advertising to make stretchers... All the while, the dibble stood by and watched and did fuck all and failed in their duty of care. Im from wythenshawe, a working class lad like most of you, and i don't think much of this government, but if cameron finds out where the northwest is on map, he should come down and thank you for your actions...
  2. Absolutely mate...I thought this as ive been reading stuff, listening to talk sport and watching SSN..And telling one of my daughters what happened. The truth is out, and now its time for justice.. I know one lady, who name i don't know, her son was called kevin..And she has pushed and pushed for this, and i just remembered how she was, And now maybe she can start to live her life.. Durham was decent on talksport before talking about ...I dare not say his name but lets just say KM and his news paper.. He after was at talksport and ade durham spoke out on the day and what happened in some way..and MacKenzie tried to sack him on air, but couldn't.. I know a lot have to answer for a lot of things after today, and i know he has apologised.. But even me as a city fan..i can never accept his apology... For this today and the 96, there is no lines in the sand, i feel we are all one in our game we love.. Match day comes round, well then we can have the banter, but for now may i say.... Y.N.W.A
  3. Joined here awhile ago folks just to offer my best. And now im just popping by to say nice one that you have finally got what you wanted in regards to what happened that day.. Just heard some astonishing stuff on ssn from the PM.. And he offered a full apology, which is well its only taken 20 odd friggin years.. I walked in from work, and watched it happen on telly and i was just a 18 year old kid myself, and never forgot those images.. I just hope you liverpool fans, all scousers, and most of all the familys of the 96, can now lift their heads up and get on with their lives the way they should from the start... all the best.. Kippax lad manchester city fan...
  4. PMSL.. Its nice to see other teams, espesh yours even considering superman stevie ireland for young player of the year.. He's been awesome all year, just hope he can continue likewise.. niceone folks..
  5. From our OS.. Manchester City marks Hillsborough anniversary 15/04/2009 15:00 Manchester City Football Club has joined with the rest of the football community to mark the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster. Executive Chairman Garry Cook has laid a wreath on behalf of the Club in the memorial garden at the City of Manchester Stadium in tribute to the 96 Liverpool fans who lost their lives at the FA Cup semi-final on April 15th, 1989. Garry said, “The tragedy that day will never be forgotten by anyone, not just in the football community. We should all take a moment to reflect on what occurred at Hillsborough, and of course our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those who died on that awful day.” Its nice to see this on our official site.. Theres a picture on the os too, i can't post it though..need to have 15 post's..
  6. Ac milan..ive just watched it..i can't post the link due to my noob status.. stunning..... Thats the beautiful game right there...
  7. I understand fully now.. And i have SSN on behind me and literally as i was reading john mackin's piece. The liverpool fans just started sing 'Justice for the 96' behind me.. I knew about some of the stuff said , that loads of hooligans were rushing in pissed up and thats what caused it. Not the fact that the police caused it.. Even from a outside view its as plain as white bread.. I understand folks... I don't buy redtops as for me there all full of shit, as are the government and politicians who lie and cheat their way through life covering their own arse's. I feel ive just been educated somewhat lads.. And i support this 100%..
  8. Cheers for the links lads.. Im going to read them right now.. But ive just read the wiki about it... If you mean the truth, i hope its nothing to do with what was apparently written in the sun by kelvin MacKenzie..If so no wonder feelings run so high.. Id never heard of that before, but jesus how the fuck could he write or be allowed to write something like that, it actually sickened me to read that.. But further down i read that the match between ac milan and real, was stopped to pay minutes silence, and the ac milan fans started singing YNWA... Now thats what im talking about..... Straight up from a 6'3 15 stone manc, that almost made me cry...
  9. How'd you mean mate..? That the old bill, did'nt give a toss.. Whats the truth... I honestly thought it was that coppers fault for opening up a gate, and thats what caused it... I honestly don't know mate..if you could point me in the direction of what your saying id really appreciate it...
  10. Like i said before..2 teams in manchester.. city and city reserves... We need to build of these players to create a decent spine of a team..tel ben honest, shay given maybe our best signing to date.. Dunnie has been great for years but found wanting this year..richards is in danger of becoming a big time charlie, so much promise but no desire, hes got his aston and bently now.. Stevie ireland has been immense, swp/zaba/ martin petrov when he's fit. Bojinov i hope this kid makes it, hes been so unlucky. We have decent players, just need to build of off em.. You see i stood in the kippax, and was there the day we got relegated when we played you lot in 94 last match.. you gave us the ball in pity and i can remember who it was on our side ran it into the corner to waste time. All the liverpool players were baffled..lol So ive been there at the lowest point, maybe just maybe there could be some light at the end of the tunnel .. Im not a plastic thats for dam sure.. My only fear is that we get hated on like chavski.. But maybe thats the price of being up the top.. But unlike many i don't expect it overnight...
  11. No worries lads.. Im a member of a decent city forum, its where you find proper fans. I also remember when marco(foe) died.. The respect paid was unreal, from all over the place. I went upto maine road that afternoon, and there were scarfs and shirts from folks who live local, from most northwest teams and others too.. Id never felt such emotion. And that was for one lad.. I can't imagine what its like for 96. Well actually i can, i might be a manc 40 miles up the road, but it still affected me to see that happen that day.. Im not the only one, we have a thread on our forum, thats paid its respects. Its a shame that it takes something tragic like what happen at Hillsborough to bring the football community together. I think a pretty profound moment being a city fan was the derby at the swamp last year. I was terrified that some dickhead would let us down (the munich silence), but to see us and the rags, hold those scarfs up was a proud moment to be a blue.. Its all about one word for me lads...Respect.
  12. lol..you don't follow us then... Robinho..the jury's still out..no doubt hes a top footballer, its just if he wants to be at city.. Elano, is a dummy spitting nobhead.. He's put performances in for brazil that have been decent and just gone missing for us.. Its still typical city for us lot.. The sword of damocles is hanging over hughes and thats not helping. Its early days still, we need to build a solid spine..kompany is a decent signing as too zaba at left back. bridge, well we will see. The result against fulham was dire.. Hamburg is huge for whats left of our season, and if we lose to them, i will have no problems with it as they are a top side.. Then, maybe we can go and get a result against the rags at the swamp, and take 3 points of em for you lot.. But like i said..typical city, its never dull being a blue thats for sure...:wallbutt:
  13. Mancs..You do know theres 2 teams in manchester lads... Thats man city and man city reserves...;) Im here just to pay my respects, but i love a bit of banter like anyone.. And just like to say..F*****g hell what a match that was last night, it was a privilege to watch a game of football like that... Im sure we can all agree...come on porto...
  14. I just signed up to express my respect to liverpool fans and the community for the 96 who lost their lives 20 years ago.. I watched that day unfold on telly and will never forget the feeling of sorrow and just sheer helplessness i felt.. I was 19 then, and all football rivalry was forgotten, no manc/scouse banter, just a horrible day for all english football.. 20 years later, a parent myself who takes my kids to city, those images will be never be forgotten.. My thoughts and respect for the family's and friends of the 96 and for the folks of liverpool.. Harry/mancity fan...
