  1. Even give Amoo or Eccleston a run out.

I'd want us to play a few starters so it's not a bunch of kids and reserves playing with each.

They'd learn more playing with the first teamers and it'd be easier to judge them if they are playing with first team players.

fuck me despite the money rafa has spent on yoof and keeping aquilani on the bench, you seriously think hes going to give amoo and eccleston a run. such optomism.

  2. I actually cant get pissed off with Owen for going to he mancs, his other option was Hull.

If our genius of a manager had wanted him here he would have been a Liverpool player now and we might have played a game of some importance tomorrow, who knows?

is right. its not like we are banging goals in at the moment is it. lots of two faced twats on here over owen. watch them do somersaults say 'it wernt me who didnt like mourinho' if he ever becomes our manager.

  3. Benitez said: “We spoke to Javier and his agent two weeks ago and told them our ideas and they told us their ideas. Javier is playing really well again. He has come back to his best and now we are happy for talks to progress.

this translates as rafa has spoken to mascherano and his agent and told them he wants mascherano to sign a new contract. mascherano and his agent have said 'fuck that, we want a move to barca so you can talk all you want about us signing a new contract for you.'

I thought he wanted to go because of his missus wasn't happy. Shouldn't she be the one Rafa's trying to convince.

yes that was the original story to gain some sympathy from fans.

  4. Arsenal H

    Wigan H

    Portsmouth A

    Wolves H

As bad as we are there has to be at least 9 or 10 points to be gained there. Things are about to pick up. Merry Christmas.

we'll do well to get 8 points out of that. should really be getting 12 points.

    arsenal 1 pt

wigan should get 3 pt but think we'll get 1 pt

    portsmouth 1 pt

    wolves 3 pt

  5. makes me wonder this stuff people come out with saying we nearly won the title last season so rafa is doing well. i nearly won the euro millions 2 weeks ago but somehow i dont feel rich.

in his 5 years hes had one title challenge. whichever way you look at it its not good enough. time to move him on.

  6. oh look mass indignation at what collymore has said.

theres no way id want gerrard to leave liverpool but collymore has a point. and that point is why the fuck should anyone hold it against gerrard if he did decide to try his luck elsewhere.

no one wants him to go. i wouldnt begrudge the lad trying to win it elsewhere though. and he surely knows deep down hes never going to get his hands on the pl trophy while benitez has a hole in his arse.

  7. I haven't seen the match yet but people need to screw their heds on, before they rush to send our club down the gutter.

People need to understand, no matter how pissed they are with Rafa, we have two cunts in charge who probably don't know who Mourinho is between them.

Do you think they will bring in someone better than Rafa?

Until someone comes up with someone better, that we are actually in a position to actually and realistically bring in and points them out to me then all this talk is nonsense and I can sleep soundly at nght. The best whining will do is send us down to the Bruce Arena Management Marketplace this bank holiday sunday for our manager.

Bitch a moan all you like but it won't help, we can get to the end of the season supporting the boys and see where we are, or we can go kicking and screaming all of the way. And Aquilani will play when Rafa deems him fit and ready to play, get over it.

yeah yeah. its all the owners fault. nothing rafa can do as his hands are tied. we mustnt change manager unless we can point out to you who that is.

this is an utter joke of a post especially the desparate comment about rafa playing aquilani when hes deemed fit. yeah ok get back in your box.

  8. "It was a match which began with Darren Fletcher at right-back in the absence of Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, Jonny Evans and John O'Shea and following the early exit of Brown and Neville - with a groin problem - United were left fielding an unfamiliar back-four.

Ryan Giggs was forced into playing at left-back, while Patrice Evra was pushed into the middle of defence to partner Carrick. "

    And they still won.

Just felt the place could do with a bit of a laugh.

how is united winning with a weakened team supposed to make us laugh. in derision?

  9. IS RIGHT...... Some people need to re-learn what "the Liverpool way" actually is, or at least the main part of it is. Yeah it's great that as fans we are a bit different, we have the Scouse humour and more class than most others...but the MAIN part of 'The Liverpool way' is winning things. Anyone remember the "bastion of invincibillity' quote? What the fuck was that supposed to mean then? Shankly wanted to win things above all else, not finish 4th or 'control the game'..he wanted to win the fucking game.

Seems to me there are far too many reds these days all wrapped up in this phoney, sentimental "Liverpool way", the one where they are more concerned about being different than other clubs, being "the best fans in the world"...Like fucking Newcastle fans. Patting themselves on the back about how great they are and how no-one else is like them whilst thier club goes to shit.

Sorry, but Rafa's tactics and many of his decisions have now started to betray what I understand is The REAL Liverpool way, ie. Excellence, pride, bravery, spirit, class, heart, dignity, not worrying who we are playing, WINNING and winning trophies....

great post. repped. no matter how little that may be!

  10. I hate some on this site who have for some time ridiculed our manager - it was not the right way to act and he did not deserve it. You were acting like many outside of our club with your comments when the man I felt was doing OK. I won't list why I supported Rafa in any detail - as they are all areas gone over a million times already but things like several really good value for money signings - Torres, Reina, Agger, Aurelio, Johnson, Masch ...etc, 2 trophies, CL performances - win, final , semi, top 4 in the PL every season even when some of the other teams have more money and resources than us, wins over the other top 4 teams regularly, behaving with class, integrity and dignity at all times ...etc. That was up till this season when I would have no problem always defending Rafa against his critics. Even earlier this season when a few results went wrong i did not jump on the anti Rafa band wagon as i remembered the end of last season and some of the points above.

Sadly tho (and it pains me to say it as i do like the man and he clearly likes our city and our club) I have to say that I am now totally frustrated with the situation and maybe changing my view. Football is my passion and LFC is my only passion in it and there is so much wrong with my beloved team these days it is hard to have any coherant advice as to where to go from here but a lot of it stems from Rafa I'm afraid.

Some random points (in no particular order)

The owners are the wrong people to own our club.

The manager's team selections and tactics are baffling to me and many fans.

We cannot really easily sack him cos of the compensation thing.

I do not think it is like Houlier really as imo there is no way Rafa will walk like Ged did - he loves having the job and passionately wants to see it out (and that tbh is not something to criticise him for).

A draw at Blackburn today given that they have oinly lost once at home this season is not too bad a result - the reason why it is so annoying to us all is that it couild and should have been a win - if we had had the right people on the pitch with the right tactics. And if we had started playing earlier - I listened on the radio and it sounded like we were 'having a right go' near the end - great but it should have been sooner!!

So reluctantly I am coming to agree with those who criticise Rafa - I will not make personal attacks on him or use insulting language towards him but I will say that if we changed manager soon I would feel a bit sad but also tbh a bit pleased as I think it would be likely to improve both our results and style of play. And that can only be a good thing.

For certain as many are saying things cannot carry on as they are.

youre entitled to that view but i think you are wrong. i too love my club. i havent just jumped on the bandwagon as you and others claim. i have seen the shit served up by rafa virtually since he took over. ok the stuff played under ged did go wrong for 18 months. but it was ged who actually said if it was better for him to leave us, he'd go. rafa would never do that. so just who loves liverpool more ged or rafa. i know who my money is on.

rafa came in and gave the team a fillip he changed the style of football but only the niave saw it as better. then we have the stunning stupid 60minute + substitutions. you have to be wearing seriously rose tinted specs not to have seen through that tactic for the last 5 seasons. some were taken in while the results were going our way. since they havent been more and more fans are wising up to this stunningly stupid tactic.

tell me any other top class manager whos as predictable as rafa cos i cant think of one.

everyone knows the owners are wrong for the club but tell me how or why the manager is so predictable in his football, tell me why the manager only makes subs after an hour. tell me why the manager buys two players costing 20 mill each and pulls one off every time on 65 minutes and is too scared to play the other one. thats nothing to do with the owners.

we can and must now sack him quickly. there isnt a big cost as some imply. hes simply removed from his position and paid monthly until he finds another job. if hes that good surely real will snap him up as all his apologists keep reminding us.

we are in line to finish 7th or 8th this season. people need to wise up not least the owners who could resolve this situation swiftly.

  11. APOLOGISTA ALERT!

    Just back.

That first half was absolutely shit. Rafa got his team wrong today. I would've played Riera and Benayoun but thought Riera would've been up for it, he looked all right against Everton.

I'd have played N'Gog and Kuyt up front together, i think both would be betetr when they have someone up with them.

The lack of movement and the passing in the first half was shocking.

  12. Judging by a lot of the posts so far today it seems rafa`s support is dwindling more than ever. Well thank Fuck for that, if only the rest of his fans would get their heads out of their arses we might be able to finally get shut of him and possibly arrest the serious decline we`re in. I still can`t believe he got a 5 year contract, it makes me want to weep.

is it not telling that some of rafa biggest vociferous supporters here who never miss an opportunity to slag off and hand out 'neg' to others when they dare criticise rafa are conspicuous by their absence today. wonder where they are.

have you finally decided enough is enough but darent show your faces. or is it because you know you are the ones who are completely out of touch with reality regarding rafa.

dont try and give it the i knew the forum would be shite tonight either.

where are you hamstring and numero nueve?
