there are plenty of people who know full well that a certain section of supporters clearly think the owners are no good for the club.

 

there are plenty of people in far reaches of the globe who support liverpool who know full well and in their own way do what they can to support the cause. some send money to SOS some don't. some boycott liverpool sponsors, some try in their own little way to show defiance

 

but there are plenty of people who know about a certain section of supporters and clearly don't agree with them. there are even others out there that are so out of touch with the day to day part of the club that they have no real idea what is going on.

 

to intimate that people standing on the side and not marching are both lazy and something else i can't remember, is in my opinion both provincial and arrogant.

 

the fact that there are numerous people who either represent SOS or are members and act as de facto unofficial SOS representatives who are clearly creating a culture at some level of "if you don't agree with SOS you aren't a proper supporter" clearly does my head in.

 

and i stick to that assessment. this thread was not the first time i've had that impression. but i'm also not naive enough to think that some people are representative of the entire group of their leadership.

 

in my opinion the idea, on paper, is a good one. i think an organized central union to act as the voice of the fans and to vent their frustration is a good idea. do i agree with their methods? not necessarily, but i certainly can't argue with the spirit of it. do i think that the union is designed for local supporters more than anyone else? yes at some level whether by design or by accident. do i think they have their priorities straight? i think they've diluted the message by going in multiple directions, but i certainly respect those that have organized it, spent their personal time running it and poured their heart into what they think is right. i'd certainly never ridicule them and insult them for trying. i wonder why some can't reciprocate?

 

now the comeback i expect is "what are you doing?". the answer is simple. i live in america, i won't go to a game until they've gone, i'm not buying any of our products, kits etc. if i banked at RBS i'd seriously reconsider it but it doesn't really apply to me. i've been in touch with ShareLiverpool and am one of those who's actually prepared to step up and purchase a full share.

 

if anyone doesn't think that's enough, i honestly don't give a fuck what you think. i will support the club as i see fit, and just because i don't agree with you or your methods does not make me a bad supporter NOR does it make you one. i just have a massive issue with what i wrote above.

I don't agree with some of it's methods, I don't agree with the half arsed ill thought out statements it's pumped out, I don't trust the future SoS if they get any significant power knowing some of the absolute fucktards at the top and those who mouth off on their behalf.

 

SoS had a chance to create something really good and step away from some of the mistakes the likes of RTK made when they alienated sections of the support they should have been trying to embrace. Instead they made the exact same mistakes the exact same way.

 

The club needs a fans voice but I don't think SoS is it.

Its already been posted but i can assure you Moores and Parry will be out when/if Dubai get control of the club.

 

DIC/Dubai are professional business people and as far as they were concerned had agreed a deal to buy Liverpool FC and were booking flights to come over to have a press conference to announce the deal.

 

Moores and Parry had previously been contacted by George Gilllett but he could not afford the club on his own. Gillett contacted Tom Hicks and convinced him that the pair of them could make a lot of money of the club for zero cash input and obviously Hicks was attracted by this.

 

Gillett then made further contact with Moores and Parry informing them that he now had Hicks on board and he was then told the details of the DIC bid.

 

Ignore the fact Al-Ansari is a Liverpool fan DIC wanted Liverpool purely from a business point of view and as far as they were aware they had bought the club but then were greeted with media reports that they had a 7 year exit plan which they dismissed but it was pretty obvious where these reports were coming from.

 

DIC tried in vain to contact Moores and Parry as the pair of twats were too busy looking after themselves and did not want to have to make contact with Dubai.

 

Obviously realising something was up Dubai were eventually notified of the Americans interest and the fact that they coincidently offered £8 million more and Moores and Parry a job.

Two players who have given us good service weren't even on the bench in Crouchie and Riise. I am not particularly a Riise fan by any stretch BUT he is a foreign player who has been at the club for SEVEN years which is very rare in this day and age. The last memory us fans have of him at Anfield is him scoring the own goal v Chelsea which sadly was his last touch of a ball at Anfield. Really has saddened me that. I have called him all kinds over the years but he has given us some great memories with goals against Everton, United, being something of a talisman alongside Garcia in our run to Istanbul. I just think he deserved a little more respect and the chance to say goodbye in a more deserving way to the fans.

 

Crouchie well it isn't set in stone that he is going but if he is then it is a fucking disgrace that he wasn't given the chance to be on the bench either and fucking Voronin got on it instead of the loveable big fella. Crouchie has been treated like a dog this season by Rafa.

 

There was NOTHING riding on this game today for either side. We can't finish any higher or lower neither can City. I just didn't see the need for Voronin to be on the bench at all if Crouchie is definitely leaving and I sincerely hope he isn't. If he is leaving then it is like Rafa has done this out of spite as Crouchie has been a true pro from what I can gather this season.

Yes folks, in a pub on Hanover street with my mate we were watching the Chelsea game when I spotted a fella I knew I'd bought a TLW issue off outside the ground once. I looks over to where he goes to sit and there he was next to him with the best seat in the gaff in front of the big screen! I was awestruck, my mate asked me who the fella with great hair was I was shaking hands with. It was like meeting a celeb :whistle:

I had to stop Dave Usher from punching him after Cardiff Carling Cup Final v Chelsea in 05 when we were all going beserk at Gerrard for his non performance on the day and Badgeman was saying 'Get behind the lad' after the final whistle well I literally had to drag Dave away from him which was hilarious looking back on it now as anybody who knows Dave will know he is one of the most placid easy going guys you will ever meet. I chuckle even now when i think about it.

 

Another funny thing which was a bit arl arse as well was in Istanbul (I think) loads of people went up to him asking for their pic with him which him being a superfan nobhead he was only too happy to oblige but a lad did that thing where they crouch down behind him and push him over and he fell over. I felt a bit sorry for him but it was still a bit funny nonetheless.

 

Me and Dave also seen him signing fucking autographs for people a year or so ago outside The Park pub before a home game.
