They have Bacon Trees in Heaven, with fresh juicy pieces of bacon hanging off the bark.

    Anyone ever tried this method?

Fuck right off, boiled bacon, what is it 1977?

Grilled 'chopped ham and pork' is better.

I don't mind it. But I prefer grilled spam.

We were in Hawaii a few years back for the Spam festival, went for me Da’s 60th, he loves the stuff so was made up.

They had it in fucking everything as it became such a staple during WW2.

had the spam fritters, spam fried rice, but was gagging after that.

I won't watch it until you can confirm it's smoked bacon and not cock rind

He boils it, till the pan is dry, so whatever it was supposed to be, it’s cock rind by the end.

Rind? Rind? Where are you getting your bacon? That is a glorious dream from about 30 years ago. Back in the days when there was middle bacon.

Still get middle bacon here. Must be a UK thing.

And here, must be a new world thing for the civilised folk.

    Good few pieces of

    bacon with streaky middle attached.

remove the eye’s and put to one side (with minimal fat).

then divvy up the streak stuff into meatier and %80% fat.

cook the fatty stuff first in a hot pan to tender the fat and crisp things up, then lower heat a little and lash the meaty rashers in, finally adding the eyes for the last couple of minutes, to cook but not crisp.

stick on buttered white bread, slather in HP.

    sit with brew and eat.

I've got a pair of these 2008 Stockholm's in a size 9.5 that have never been worn, that comes with the original City Series card that I'm getting rid of.

    Would anyone be interested?

The trainers themselves are box fresh new.

The original box however is only 7/10 (that's my 7/10, not an eBay 7/10).

Can provide detailed pictures if/when required.

I wouldn't bullshit anyone as to the condition. I've had dealing with @Mook who might give me a reference if I paid him enough.

I think Blair’s Government did some wonderful things, certainly not perfect but I’m 56 and they are easily the best Government I’ve ever known in my life time and he’s easily the best PM. Iraq will always define him but domestically I think he was about as good as you’re going to get, that the left utterly despise him, even more than any Tory maybe even Thatcher, baffles me.

I sat up with my grandad and watched the results in ‘97 made up, labour in at last, seemed like a time for real change.

A lot of people benefitted under New Labour, the big northern cities saw investment in public services such as Liverpool Passport and Tax, Newcastle the Department for Work and Pensions ( I worked on this).

But the smaller regional places apparently saw little, i worked in Crewe for a few years 2003-06, the place seemed to see little investment whilst i was there, and not long after I left, Network Rail moved all of the staff to an office in Manchester (and another load of jobs went to MK).

For places like Crewe who have voted against labour recently, things were not all roses in the Blair years (domestic ignoring the war), people had a few more quid in their pockets but the slide of the high street and town centre was starting - not necessarily the governments fault, but it ties in if people feel there is a lack of investment in the area that contributes to the continuing decline.

Everything is seen through the lens of history, the continued deregulation, PFI, failure to change the core of the voting system to a modern PR type, the business first approach, the insipid failure to stand up properly and get the message out after the financial crash and fight the coalition stories of labour fiscal failure causing austerity - all this adds up on the new Labour governments in the rear view mirror.

Then consider the new labour children meddling in the party under Corbyn’s leadership, it all reflects back, and so people who in 2007 may have thought ah these are not so bad, live under the consequences of their actions /inactions and come to see them as much worse.

I had to pay over the odds for these fuckers, got me and the missus in the ballot and she won. I was fairly fucking fuming, which she was buzzing off, as were my sister and brother-in-law.

I spent far too many nights sledging at the back of the zoo to not commemorate with a pair of over priced shoes.

she has no idea mine are a bit steeper, or in fact that I have a pair, or that she will be handing them over on my birthday.

i was on the adidas web site the other day. the shoes were fucking crap.

They hover between shite teddy bear bollocks, and half decent old school trainies sold in limited release and bought by wankers looking for shoe based bromance.

To be fair some of the comments on here are fucking beyond the pale, trainies are neither gorgeous, lovely or beautiful; but sound, smart, boss, gear even.

    poncified fucking bollocks.

Good point, but both the Dems (Clinton) and GOP, openly state before the trial which way they will vote. Plus irony of ironies, this trial was over so quickly because the GOP said they would call hundreds of witnesses. At least at Nuremberg there was no time limit and they would have wanted as many people to speak as possible (I could be wrong on this).

    Aye, the time

limitations imposed by the need to get on with the Covid support packages, does raise the question of why did they not sit it on the back burner for 6 months or so.
Get the most time sensitive shit out of the way first, rather than letting the malignant republican wankers push it through quickly.

  10. 2 minutes ago, Scooby Dudek said:

Must be the only "jury" that is openly bias going into the trial, it wouldn't be allowed in a court.

Just like 2008, the GOP plan will be for nothing to pass, despite the Dems having control of all three institutions. Then going in 2022, look the Dems never get anything done, best vote for us.

Unfortunately they will, once again, be aided and abetted by the "moderate" Dems.

I’m gonna say the panel of the Nuremberg trials was probably pretty biased.

The shoe is on the other foot this time, the fascists are in the glorious west, the centrists are protecting what they have, and the poorer rabble amongst the right are being galvanised.

    We live in interesting times.

Yeah I forgot about the mid terms. Not sure which states will be included in the next round of that.

You could make an argument that the Republicans doing what they did was for their image as well.

Fucked up country in terms of disunity.

Mos def, it’s a shitty situation, it just shows even as bad as things are in the US today, the post Trump change will be as little as possible to the status quo.

But the right have shown that smashing the system works.

4 years before the next election?

2 years before the senate or house (fucked if I j ow which is which, but whichever one that marj green is part of).

    plus it’s now a

matter of public record, so they cannot deny it.

as always the shit bags in the middle are fine, but the poor on either side will continue to pay the price.

Look at Mr. Poshcunt over here complaining about his Maserati infested streets.

Now then smart arse, as clearly defined above these maseratis move, they are mobile.

they are not local cars, driven by local people, they are driven by OOT wankers and they come to our road purely to fucking race.

luckily there’s no sign of the little bastards ce soir, nor the impromptu secret bar one of the neighbours appears to have been running every Saturday night for the last few months.

so we get to enjoy the match in peace.

You mean they have them parked on their drives as they are broken shirley?

Sadly the more modern ones seem to run, though sound like they have blown the box on the exhaust.

loads of the little fucking blerts drive them up and down our road on a Saturday / Sunday night.

hopefully the snap shutdown will bring a bit of peace this weekend.

The coins I sold for £230, with the intention of buying them back cheaper a couple of days later would now be worth close to £400. They did actually dip back down a bit just after I’d sold them and I could have bought them back + another 45 coins but I decided to wait until it dropped even lower. I don’t think I’ll be buying a Jag for a little while yet.

All the coin kids drive Maseratis over here.
