  1. Some passionate defences of the F.A Cup here. Far too often it just seems people throw the token effort of "we exist to win trophies" without actually believing it and they go on to say "i'd still rather finish fourth."

Not having a go at anyone its just refreshing to see people care that much about something that 'used to' mean a lot to the club.

EDIT forgot to say nice one lads!

  2. I agree with some of what he has said and disagree with other parts, but it’s very easy to say that everyone should get their fair share and work hard at it. Who’s going to disagree with that? But the problems arise when you start attaching an actual figure to the term “fair share”. Most people always think they are worth more. I think I’d be fairly right in saying that the vast majority of people would automatically take the higher salary if they were offered two, regardless of how it may affect some other person they will never ever know or see or even be aware of. Wanting the best for yourself and for your family is a standard for most people, and they will make hay while the sun shines if they can.

It's a fair point mate but that's not a problem with Socialism that's people who clearly aren't socialists. I truly believe if people stood together and fought for their rights as a unified group we'd all be better off in the long run, together. Unfortunately i can't help but think it's the people you've described above that will always be the major flaw in the idea of socialism.

Anyway wasn't aimed at you (if it came across as shitty), that part above was just the perfect point for me to elaborate on.

  3. Not speaking for Robbie but personally;

    1) Yes

    2) I'm not Ghanaian.

It's football, reason doesn't come into it. Suarez played some dazzling football for us since January therefor he's a top guy. If he had signed for Spurs at the time he'd now be a bucktooth cunt.

A few weeks ago Phil Jones was an interesting prospect, zero games later he's overrated and a cunt. Jordan Henderson used to be an anonymous youngster at a midtable side, now he's going to captain England, he's going to win the World Cup with England. Unless some dirty, cheating, oh look at me I'm too tres fuckin chic for my shirt, French surrender monkey throws a strop at not being allowed win and decides he's too important to follow the same rules and who gives a shit about the poor little children in tears at the shattering of their illusion that there is justice in this spiteful world.

Henry used to be the most classy act in the game until that instantaneous instinct reaction. He is now a prick and will have to remain one. Sorry Thierry, that's just how it goes, you cunt.

Interesting idea, so by your logic after that little comment you should be known as a rasict scumbag... or something stronger?

  4. It's fucked up that there's people on here gladly admitting that they'd use the scum, you bunch of two faced bastards. So you won't buy their "paper" now but would pocket the cash if the situation suited you personally? Couldn't give a runny shit about the Mccanns but expected more from reds, disgraceful.

  5. No, it's not that at all. You have absolutely no idea how the British public would have reacted to a minority government continually trying, but failing, to get ridiculously unfair measures through.

Like I said, there's way too many variables. Personally, I don't think the British public would have liked to see Conservatives trying to raise tuition fees, make harsh cuts etc., etc. The reason I think this is because it's being played out now. Public opinion has turned in just a matter of months.

You're such a massive cunt. I'm agreeing, in context and out, with everything that Clegg says there. It is a baby step. It is a miserable little compromise - whether it's with Labour or the Conservatives. Just because the Conservatives didn't have it in their manifesto, it doesn't make it any less of a compromise on the Liberal Democrat policy. Clegg is still making a compromise on something that's any good. It's still a miserable little compromise, and I stand by my statement.

More telling, and maybe more damning, is his first line in that. It is a baby step and only because nothing is worse than what we've got. It's hardly high praise, is it? He's now trying to sell it as a once in a lifetime opportunity.

It doesn't eliminate tactical voting. It doesn't make a huge difference.

It's going to be fucking hilarious digging this up. That reminds me, I might go back and dig up some of your comments about how only a few Unis will be able to charge 9k. I'll probably leave it for one big blow out, to be honest.

    Superb mate, absolutely superb post.

  6. Mourinho is a total fucking bellwhiff of a cuntbubble of a man. A prick of the highest order. I don’t want him anywhere near my club, ever. “We exist to win trophies” is what we say, and that is correct, but, as the King refers to a lot, there is a way of acting at Liverpool Football Club, and the way that prick carries himself is not it, and something I never want to see here, regardless of others perceptions that he guarantees success.

Let the Mancs have him. They are perfectly suited to each other.

However, kudos on the 9 year record. It is astonishing, no matter how much I hate him.

I've liked what Coro has been saying in this thread and I agree with him but he could of made things a lot easier for himself if he'd followed JohnnyH's example, haha. Crackin post.

  7. It's not, it's entirely reasonable, and there is no excuse for such intransigence. This is opposition for opposition's sake. Expect to see a lot more of it now that the "Evil Tories" are in government. That's all this is about.

Don't worry mate I'm sure when the "Super, great, good for the rich Tories" get their way we'll have to go and fight our own fires for free, as part of the "One Big Society", or risk burning to death while they all sit round living it up at £25k parties.

"It's about working together, except us because we've got more money than you."
