  1. Barca have no economic levers they can use this summer, have huge debts to service and a salary cap that cannot be increased whilst also trying to get Gavi registered on a new, significantly increased contract. Barca are a non entity unless they sell about 6 first team players.

I agree. The only time we'll get in trouble is if we're getting into a fight with Spain's big two or the current top 4.

At which point we will walk away and say there is no value in the market. Although for the next couple of seasons I don't think Barca will be paying the prices let alone the wages that even we are looking at.

  3. The point seems to have been missed that although Ox and Keita don't play, they were signed as first team players and are paid first team wages. If we bring in players at that level then I expect them to be first team players that are brought in.

Not all leagues pay at the level of the PL. Players from France, Germany, Holland and Portugal are in far less that their PL counterparts. We will have no problem when it comes to wages.

I wonder if Tielemans is on our shopping list. There are hardly any rumours of where he is off to, which has me thinking it could be us. We have been better than anyone at keeping our targets closely guarded.

Hopefully he was crossed out as a mistake when Klopp said he wanted to replace the tea ladies with men.

I know, that £45m down the drain, will haunt them for years to come. It has thrown their planned budget out of kilter.  What shall they do?

    Utter cunts

Makes no sense whatsoever as they already had that Lavia kid who could have played the 7 minutes that he's has played. Oh well 2 years of free transfers for them now...........

    Oh, that's only us. Bugger

I hear Lavia was meant to have been good for Southampton last night.

What a daft move to take him off in 86. Then they concede in 88 & 90. Like taking off Hamman in Leverkusen.

I was really impressed with him last night, comfortable receiving g the ball in tight areas and not panicking. Was able to turn and beat the press on numerous occasions.

Would prefer he has another season at Southampton progressing his game than made the jump too early.

Looks a player but the wrong move could scupper that. If he were to move this summer I think Brighton to replace caceido would be the best place for him.

An infamous twitter accounts has just posted Klopp wants 3 midfielders in the summer and have £200m to spend.

I would post it, I don’t want people to get their knickers in a bunch.

Fuck it, just post it, if they complain then call them cunts and move on.

This is the cesspit that is the summer transfer thread. Whats the difference between some shit no mark journo and some shit no mark twitter ITK.

No we need to extend our scouting network and connections currently into untapped (by us) markets such as SouthAmerica and Asia.

we need to invest the money when we need too, this isn’t to let FSG off being skinflints but we should also recognise buying a rough diamond on the cheap isn’t a bad idea.

But without games and an environment to grow without pressure they would likly stagnate and not be the player we hoped they would.

The point isn’t the £250m or whatever figure.

The point is if the budget stays the same, the % needed for Bellingham is more.

Again, thinking out loud, using £200m as an example, we speak to Dortmund they say £100m. Fine, we know our budget and that leaves us £100m to get 2/3 other players and in the 2nd half of the season players will pick up again, everything looks rosey again.

But the players haven’t picked up in the 2nd half of the season. They’ve been as abject as they were in the first half. Dortmund now decide they want £130m for Bellingham. Klopp starts to lose patients and decides we need more. Of that budget we, we get Bellingham and 1/2 others.

As long as the budget has stayed the same and we are repositioning the funds (which Pearce, Reddy and a few others have said) then as much as I would have liked Bellingham and as frustrating as the whole scenario is, I’m Ok with it.

If players aren’t getting back to previous years levels, we do need more than Bellingham. A lot

I typed out a long message in response to this then thought fuck it, you are too far down the rabbit hole.

These owners are done. Forget where we have been with them, what we've won, that's in the past, the goalposts have moved and this self sustaining model will no longer work. We don't need an oil state, we need the debt removed off the club as it is capital costs to improve the asset. And we need a reasonable injection of cash every few years. This would allow us the funds to be able to constantly refresh without the need for major rebuilds.

I'm getting really worried about Virgil's form. He just seems mentally not to be in games. He's reacting slowly, he's mostly looking very not arsed. It's easy enough to get up for the big games, but we need to see him dominate attackers when we're playing shite too. He's having too many performances this season were he's making absolute no mark forwards look good.

I didn't think Virg had a bad game yesterday, I was at the game and it deemed to be Konate going wandering that caused most of the problems. Solanke barely got a sniff.

I cannot believe wokery has got it's claws into Lego now. Downs Syndrome figures? Figures with limbs missing? Whatever next? Black and brown figures?

This is madness! Burn it all down!

So does this mean that they are going to release some that are paedophiles and mass murderers as being inclusive should not be limited to people's ideals.

You're either inclusive or you aren't. If you are inclusive then you can't pick and choose who you include.

Blows my mind people think one slip during the course of an entire season cost a title!   shit we wouldn't if been anywhere near a title challenge without Gerrards contribution not even close.

You're right? But now thats trending on twitter, with social media its very easy to change the narrative.
