  1. I would say that once Rafa tried to sell him and Alonso found out nobody really wanted him that was a turning point, it shocked him and he got his arse into gear, that's when we really saw the player he has become

Barry and Alonso would have been a fantastic midfield partnership with Gerrard and Torres up front

That's a fair point, I wasn't exactly against the decision to sell Xabi originally.

  2. The EDL where travelling somewhere at the same time a certain team from Merseyside where travelling down to London.

When I was on the coach another passed on the right hand side, and waved to me as they went passed, so naturally I waved back, as they overtook a massive flag saying 'Fuck Islam' went passed.

Needless to say i felt like a massive tool.

  3. The stats are there. We win more games when he starts, He scores more goals when he starts, and perhaps for the first time in a long time we actually look a more rounded side when he's in the starting line up.

He's not just 'putting himself out a bit', he's genuinely making a valid contribution to the team which merits a starting place. His link up play is improving, everything is improving. Which isn't surprising considering he's still young.

Next season is a big one for him. With the right additions we'll have a squad worthy of a top four finish.

  4. Yeah, you're right, there are a bunch of other idiots on here too.

"Happy with what Hodgson was saying". Maybe you should read the 'Hodgson for England' thread to see how happy people were with what he was saying.

I couldnt be bothered finding any of your other opinions. I would love to know what you said about Rafa in the month before he went. I bet you wasn't "showing him much respect".

Probably not, but then again two wrongs don't make a right now do they?

If I recall correctly I made that post in pre-season.

  5. I think as long as someone puts an arm around his shoulder and says 'no' next time he identifies some average British player as his most desired signing and instead has the authority to tell him who we are allowed to purchase, and someone comes in to devise the tactics, then okay.

He's then doing more or less exactly the job the greatest supporters of the extension of his tenure have been trying to remove all blame by claiming he has all season.

I think they where Kenny's players but DC dictated the price, I don't think that was the only reason DC got sacked.

But if you consider we where also in for Phil Jones and Young, there was still supposed to me money to burn but we wasted it all.
