  1. I also love it when the Mancs say that the whole media, especially the BBC are obsessed with Liverpool, they must be having a laugh.

Just shows you how much McCarthy knows about football to slag off a young foreign player in his first season in England after one game. I bet he ssaid Ronaldo was the worst player to play for Man U after a few of his early performances.

The pundits on TV aren't much better, I absolutely despise David Platt with a passion, hate his boring voice and like Ray Wilkins just because he played in Italy they think he is a football genius. He used to do "Platty's tactics" in 442 like he was some big tactical managerial genius when he is a failed coach. Ray Wilkins is a bender who hates Liverpool, Gerry Francis, Steve Claridge, Peter Beagrie, Chris Kamara are all tits, and don't even get me started on Andy Townsends' tactics truck.

Read a quote the other day about Cesar Luis Menotti in the 1978 World Cup after he kept getting stick off the press. He was asked what his opinion was of football writers. He said "Not only do they know nothing about football but if 20 of them were kidnapped and put in a room with a typewriter they wouldnt be able to write a letter to mummy"

  2. Jamie Redknapp was in 442 and asked "When you were little did cousin Frank eat all the pies?" - he gets a massive cob on saying "I don't know why people keep calling him fat, he's a fantastic athlete in great shape". He looks like Martin Samuel in that first pic.

Rooney looks like the Mekon there, he just needs a little flying saucer.

  3. I cannot see why Harry Harris is even employed, he writes boring ill informed articles that the public could not care less about such as the delay regarding Wembley, the West Ham illegal player fiasco and rumourmonging about who will be the next Chelsea manager. I am still waiting for Sven Goran Eriksson to be Chelea manager despite his numerous insider sources saying that it was a dead cert.

That Steve Curry is an absolute tool, loves the Mancs more that Alex Ferguson.

  4. I wonder if the papers and the media in general will be raking up his human rights record this time...probably not.

Not likely - the Man City fans have already had their Human Rights infringed for the last 30 years so I doubt anyone will care :>

In particular Article 3 - The right not to suffer torture, inhuman or degrading treatment.

  5. Martin Samuel you are referring to, your right he is awful

Yes, he is awful as well, forgot about that bell end, looks like a fatter bearded version of Chris Moyles - also that baldy headed Jean Luc Picard wannabee Patrick Barclay, tries to make out he is uber intellectual but then makes statements like "If we (even though he is a jock) are to have any chance at the 2006 World Cup, David James is a must"

  6. I haven't bothered doing a poll for this as there are so many of them, but who in your opinion is the biggest knobhead journo?

I would say Harry Harris as he never actually reports on football, rather betting/illegal player/corrupt FA scandals with little or no factual evidence. Always has pictures of him on the phone and captions such as "Harry Harris, the man in the know"

A close second would be Paul McCarthy of the people for slagging off Peter Crouch saying he was one of the worst players ever to play for England then completely changing his tune when he started scoring a few goals.

  7. I can't stand shows like this - I hate You're on Sky Sports as well and 606, it's always loads of moaning Tttenham and Chelsea fans as well as Man U fans from Devon re hashing boring subjects that have already been done to death on Sky Sports News. Nothing anyone says on these shows is new or enlightening. Especially when you have fools like Peter Beagrie and Steve Claridge answering questions on YOSS.

  8. Yeah I was at that game on a complimentary ticket too, one that was issued to the city council... although I actually was there to enjoy the football

I don't understand why people who aren't interested in footy would got a game though, freebie or not.

I was expecting it to be a boring 1-0 but I was pleasantly surprised - one of Russia's goals was a corker.

Exactly - I wouldn't go to a sport where I'd look a t1t asking people the rules, are people that deperate for free beer?

  9. Dreamt that Bellamy scored in the 83rd minute after outpacing the Milan defence, but for some reason the game was being played at the Stade de France, then I realised i was just dreaming.

Also had one about Moscow Vs Inter Milan - another late 1-0 win with Eto'o scoring a volley 12 yards out similar to Vladimir Smicer Vs Chelsea in a league game, - I walked out of the ground then a copper robbed my passport and asked me for 500 quid if I wanted it back. I gladly woke up before I said "but I haven't got 500 quid"

  10. Can remember going to Euro 96 at Anfield - got 2 tickets to see teh Czech Republic Vs Russia - there was about 15,000 at the game, we got lumbered behind the all the Carlsberg "representatives" - all clueless wankers on a freebie from work, about 2 of them knew the rules and they were going to the bar every 10 mins, couldn't care less about what was happening on the pitch. The majority were neutrals and allegedly the rest of the tickets had been sold to "fans" but for some reason everyone who paid £45-75 never bothered turning up. They missed a decent game anyway

  11. What a selfish, self centred attention seeking twat - he is just like a stroppy teenage girl who needs to be the centre of everything all the time. When he went off like he did in the Carling Cup final he wanted everyone to go in after him "Ahh, come out Jose, we all want you to" - he'll be like "Really? - do you really want me to come out? - ok then, only if you really really need me there" cunto

  12. crap cup finals

    2005 Mancs V Arsenal

    2003 Arsenal V Southampton

    2000 Chelsea V Villa

The 2 that Newcastle lost pathetically to the Mancs & Arse

    1996 - Cuntona - need i say more?

Our one last year was the best so we aren't due another decent one for a while

  13. Some fella in our place is the same, he has a bad back and wrist so has been taken off interviewing people which is the main part of his job. He has been offered 3 other jobs in a 10 mile radius but has turned every one down because he cant drive for more than half an hour - however, this doesnt stop him going to South Africa 4 times a year on a 10 hour flight. He complained about having to work weekends and was told that he could work weekdays only but his weekend shift allowance would be removed to which he went the union over. He was asked to sort a load of files out the other week but hid them under a desk and said he couldnt find them so they gave him something easier to do the day before he went to SAF. He even started smoking to stay away from his desk even more.

He hasn't got a bird though - it is probably too much effort for him to chat someone up.

  14. Has anyone mentioned Jeremy Kyle yet? - he is a complete twat, who is completely full of his own importance. I also nominate Robbie Williams - Attention seeker and Gordon Ramsay bully and miserable, also said in FHM, "make no mistake I am hard, F***ing hard", shut up Gordon you tit, I bet you've been banged out loads of times, its just never on camera.

  15. Does anyone play footy at the weekends? I've been playing the last 10 years and noticed how bad things have got especially over the last 2/3 years violence-wise.

Played a couple of months back and 2 scallies drove their car through our goal net as we were warming up. They parked behind our goal and threatened our keeper constantly during the game.

There were ratboys on the touchline threatening us all game and one tried to batter the teenage ref at the final whistle because he booked one of his mates. We had to act as a "police escort" for the ref and take him home as he would have had to wait for a bus and got done over by them. Our manager got punched in the face by a player last season for appealing against an offside. I nearly got crippled last year by some dickhead who flew in 2 footed at me almost waist high, I still have a nice long scar at the top of my leg to prove it.

The changing rooms regularly get robbed by scallies, a bunch of lads from Manchester were playing on the next pitch to us at Mather Avenue last year and their bus with all their gear got nicked, they all got the train back in their footy gear.

Refs seem to get the brunt of the abuse obviously, I don't know why they do it to be honest, £18 isn't worth a battering in my book.

It used to be quite funny seeing the odd scrap or seeing a loudmouth scally getting his comeuppance but lately it seems to happen all the time. I got involved in a fight defending myself 2 seasons ago but got send off for retaliation and had to pay a £28 fine.

I love my footy but I don't fancy taking 2-3 months off work because some dick who wants to go out and deliberately break someones leg and just decides to break mine. I just think to myself if it's worth the hassle anymore and would rather watch Liverpool at the weekend rather than running the scally gauntlet. Some of my mates have told me worse stories than what I've said above including being threatened with guns.

Anyone experienced any mass violence lately whilst playing footy?

  16. The best thing i've ever heard from the North East is when then manager Ruud Gullit dismissed the Sunderland-Newcastle game they lost at home 3-1 as "just another game". One reporter from a Newcastle based paper said "Gullit is dreaming if he thinks that this is another game, how could he be so dismissive of the biggest game in English football?" - says it all about them, plus all the fans swallowed it and believed it.

Newcastle seem to think that they are Real Madrid or Barcelona signing star strikers/No 10's to sell season tickets. Pity they have been in the 2nd division/very mediocre for decades. I think a big reality bomb should be fired at St. James's Park.

  17. i thought ITV were bad with mediocroty like Robbie Earle and Andy Townsend but whats Chris Kamara done in football?

He, er, er played for Portsmouth ages ago. My uncle played there with him for 2 seasons, said he could have been a really good player but was to fucked up in the head to ever play at the top level, apparently he was a bit of a nutter. Wonder what Kamara, Townsend and Earle have all won together? - not much, at least the last 2 played in the World Cup.

  18. Can anyone see Newcastle winning anything in the next 5-10 years? - I can't, god knows how long they can keep being able to buy players over 10/12M and pay massive wages as they are not in the Champions League and are some distance off the top 4. If a decent foreign player became available for 12M and Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle wanted him there is no way he would choose them. The only players who go there are ones who play for bigger clubs and can't get in the team - Scott Parker, Nicky Butt, Damien Duff and Owen to an extent.

Santiago Munez only signed for them because he was an illegal immigrant from Mexico who didn't want to be a gardener like his dad :>.

  19. Why has rafa even bothered buying Voronin? - is he just going to flog him to a mug club like Man City for 2M after getting him for nothing. Did he actually play in the World Cup? - I watched 3 of Ukraines' games and can't remember him at all!

  20. Alright, i'm off to Warsaw at the weekend for my stag night, done a bit of research and asked my mate who's been there a few times. Has anyone been? - is the nightlife any good?. Been told to go to a Rippers called Sofia's. The beer apparently is lethal and cheap too.
