  1. Sorry matey any fights arranged on this forum take place at OTTERSPOOL, on the prom, nowhere else.

Fine, but we'll have to postpone the fight until February, seeing as that's when I'm taking my first trip to Europe.

    Can someone make up flyers?

  2. If were talking Corners it has to be Pennant. His crosses have so much pace on them and they almost always have a good height. Alonso takes a good freekick, but his corners are too loopy for my taste, put some power behind them Xabi.

  3. As an attacking mid he's quality, he's really got an eye for that final ball, or the kind of pass that can really open up an attacking move. He's also got the footwork to hold the ball while driving forward through the middle of the park. He's a squad player who gives us options. If Gerrard needs a rest, Zenden provides quality cover for him, at least until Momo sorts out his passing, and his close control.

  4. well, he IS from texas... :tease:

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Friggin hippie, you better watch out or I'll get my pistol and shoot you dead before you can say "Smells Like Teen Spirit". ;)

Spelling has always been a weak point for me. But I did change more than the correct spelling to inncorrect spelling.

Thick Lass: Mmmm, Robbie you look delicious, I could eat you up.

Robbie: Damn, I knew I should have taken training more seriously and lost these love handels.

Larger Gent: We'd love to have you for dinner Robbie.

    Robbie: Rafa, Paco, Help!!!!!

Rafa: I say to you, "Robbie you need to work on your fitness, so we mabey have possibilities", but you no listen.

  6. Thats it theirs Stevie playing the holding roll for the next couple of years and getting slagged off by the press because he doesn't play as well for England as he does for Liverpool

Exactly my point, I thought this might be Gerrards shot at not playing that god forsaken holding role with the inneffective Lampard as an attacking mid.

I'm not sure if it's a benefit to Gerrard to not have the added responsability of the England captaincy. He seems to thrive under pressure, and it could have helped him make another step up in terms of ability. How would you like that? To be honest, it's a bit hard to imagine Gerrard getting much better than he already is, but I imagine it would help his decision making which on occasion (few and far between mind you) can be suspect. It also would be a nice thing to gloat about over our rivals.

  7. I think this could really hurt England. Not be cause Terry is a bad captain, but because of the influence he might have with McClaren as HIS captain.

I was holding out hope that McClaren would be smart enough to see what everyone saw during the world cup, and that is that Lampard is not fit to lace Steven Gerrard's boots. If fact if you went by world cup performaces, he would have to be the last name on the teamsheet. I hoped that maybe Gerrard and Hargreaves (or Carrick) might be given a chance, but with Terry as captain I can't see that happening now.

Can't you just see Mongo whining to McClaren about not playing Lampard? McClaren in turn doing his captain a favor by keeping his buddy in his starting role? I don't think that's a far streach. Of course, this is all assuming McClaren knows the first thing about football.

  8. No man should have a nickname that is a modification of his own name. ie: Beckham=Becks; Lampard=Lamps; Crouch=Crouchie; and certainly not Bellemy=Bellers. There is no reason to use those nicknames unless you're sucking said individual's cock.

  9. Fuck not only am I hard of hearing I need glasses as well. Me I thought it was a rash challenge - he was surrounded by about three four players and I thought he got a touch.

I will have a look again but I did think it was a good call for a penalty. I hate the diving shite but honestly thought he got a nudge. Now I will have to have another look.

    .

I felt the same, and after looking at it three times, it's now more obvious. Luis didn't fight to stay up, but, he certainly didn't dive in the Ronaldo sense of the word. Name me one player who wouldn't gone down from that sort of challenge.

Now, that said, we did play pretty poorly.

    Babbel--------------Hansen----------Hyypia---------Kennedy

    McManaman--------Gerrard---------Hunt-------------Heighway

    -------------------Dalglish-------St.John-----------------------

    now we're get'n somewhere

No room for Crazy Horse in there? c'mon!

  11. Maybe we just had the wrong personel playing tonight for that formation? I think we play in that formation well with Crouch as the lone striker, but we needed more pace on the wings. I think when Gonzalez is ready to go full steam we'll see that formation be more effective.

  12. It's wasn't a vicious challenge, and he did make a meal of it, but it was a foul. The other guy came in about mid thigh level when the ball was already away.

Besides, that ref was so awful, that if he didn't make a meal of it, he wouldn't have even waved it away. If he thought it was a dive he should have given Luis a yellow card. I think that he though the guy got the ball, when it was terribly obvious that he didn't.
