    Brilliant, had me in stitches!

Good luck Roy, can't wait for your friends in the media to stab you in the back - but with your experience I am sure you can deal with it!

4 years, sacked inside 2 - with a big payday to pay for a place in a senile center...

  2. There are times I despair of our players lack of basic football understanding.... How many transitional opportunities do we need to make runs and have movements that creates space and good opportunities for each other! I know a couple of other teams that would have been 5 up at least given the same break-down opportunities...

  3.

I think Sturridge could be an absolutely brilliant player if he improved his decision making and wasn't as selfish on the ball. If he took off his blinkers then he'd be an excellent player.

I can definitely see us spending between £10-15m on Nathan Dyer or Scott Sinclair in the summer instead of looking outside of the premier league for better value.

Then my support for the current set up goes out the window!

For all the blame some people put on Rafa about him leaving us with a weak squad, Kenny will have us buried 5 feet under when his signings fail for the second year running...

We will win fuck all with this young British talent shite strategy, if aspire to be numero uno then we must also go for the best in the transfer market... At least supplement these youngsters with some world class talent!

  4. I'd be gutted if we signed Dempsey. Surely we must look to improve during the summer, not go sideways or backwards. Spend the resources we have towards players that will really make a difference.

Sure as hell done enough this season to look like an improvement on us, no?

  5. I get that sentiment, but there's something about United that just brings out my utter contempt.

It goes way beyond football, as well. If I meet someone and find out they're a United fan it's as if I found out they're a neo-Nazi or something, especially if they're not from Manchester. I mean that in the sense that I just realise immediately that they don't mind supporting something that is evil and wrong, and that they chose to do it of their own free will. Something has to be wrong with a person like that, no?

I guess I'm taking it over the top, but I don't at all feel that way about an Arsenal fan or an Everton fan or pretty much any other club. It's just that someone who would look at Ferguson and think "yes, that seems like the kind of person I could get behind" must have problems.

Haha, had a laugh at this as it's how I feel sometimes - I mean you see Ferguson and than conclude I'm standing behind this man ! Insanity

  6. Jesus christ there are some proper shit suggestions in this thread - more average players who at best have surprised at smaller clubs and most likely will not be able to carry the expectations at a club like LFC - no thanks, we tried that route last year.... (I do not mean all UK/PL suggestions, but quite a few)

Kenny deserves another year, but if he spends all the cash on mediocre British talent one more summer he better pray last seasons buys comes good next year, or he'll be thrown to the curb and the club will be in a terrible state!

  7. Bit of a guess but,...

Maybe Suso isn't training with the 1st team this week because they wanted to seal up 2nd place in the ressie league with this game and didn't want to be missing 2 of their most important players with Sterling away.

Also, Suso is a bit unfortunate in his position. Being a young lad he's not gonna get many chances in the midfield. Rodolfo said in his interview that the lad needs to add to his workrate and defensive side. So, considering the 1st team like to play with at least one DM with another midfielder dropping in (usually Hendo from the right), he's not likely to take up either of those roles. Especially considering he doesn't look as comfortable on the wing al la Hendo.

Essentially he's fighting for the 'behind the striker' role as this is probably his best place to ease into the 1st team with less responsibility to defend. However, he's got Gerrard, Luis ahead of him. And arguably Hendo (who is more intelligent/experienced in his defensive work) and now Shelvey (who is probably the main reason Suso's not getting a look). Maybe he would be vying with Sterling for the RW role but as said, he's not as effective there atm. So for me, even though he should defo be training with the 1st team more, I can't see him breaking into the team unless he rotates a spot on the bench with Shelvey. And can't see them both being on the bench bar the Swansea game.

    Just my opinion though.

Please tell me you're taking the piss with that statement? Hendo - comfortable - wing , sorry but those 3 words should never be strung together in a sentence.....

Aside form the keepr comedy gold, since the sending off, i think theyve done OK.

Theres nothing on this game, and i think some of our lads have done ok. Fuck me Carrolls scored!!

I was not slagging of his total game performance, which I thought was pretty good considering how alone he was, but more how much more effective he could be if he attacked the near post instead of always drifting to the back post...

Great goal, and almost had another diving header as well...
