Their front three should be Rashford, Greenwood and Sancho with Cavani coming on to offer a bit of experience here and there. Ole's built a rod for his own back by bringing in Ronaldo. He can't run anymore. He can't press, and he's basically undroppable because his ego is so massive. If Ole drops him, Ronaldo will agitate behind the scenes and destroy all confidence in Ole. Every time they lose it'll be "why didn't you start Ronaldo?".

Ronaldo also brings an expectancy of a title challenge, when the truth is they're miles off it. If they would've just played Rashford, Greenwood and Sancho, Ole could've said: "Class of 92", "give youth a chance" etc. But with Ronaldo, he doesn't have that luxury. It's a perfect storm really.

The way I see it is that Fergie signed Ronaldo and  Ole is stuck with him and his ego.

Pretty much it and add his colossal wages they will find it nigh on impossible to shift him early. It’s kind of a shame pogbas contract is running down he would have been another millstone for the new manager to have to deal with. Get rid of Ronaldo and Pogba and buy 1 DM and their team looks a lot better.

I can see ronaldo going to the US after this and lapping up all the fame that will bestow upon him. But saying that is his case settled over there?

  2. Last game of the season 1964 we beat Arsenal 5-1 to win the League. Tommy saved a penalty and. when Liverpool got a penalty with the match more or less won everyone wanted Tommy to take it but he wasn't having any.

Only the Koppites could christen one of their heroes 'The Flying Pig'

    Great memories - RIP Tommy

  3. That's why Ferguson goes to Wimbledon every year. Because he likes the BACKHANDERS of course.

Ferguso will never be found out. He is too wily and has got too much  on the Establishment for that. But he was a close buddy of the fat one and his son is/was a dodgy agent.

  4. once i would have thought it was a ploy, you know ask stupid fucking questions to illicit a response and make your entire story about that. Now however after having had a few dealings with the press over a few projects , they really are just that fucking lazy and inept.

I have no doubt that Klopp knows only to well how to play the fuckers

Remember what he said at his press conference after his appointment? I have been around and heard a lot about the English press......... now its up to you to prove them all liars'. Priceless!

  5. I reproduce two e-mails I sent to the Daily Mirror before Chrimbo when the Suarez 'verdict' first broke. The first was to their Mailbox - never published; the second to Oliver Holt - never acknowledged.

    To Mirror Mailbox:

' I was disgusted by the 'RACIST' headline over David Maddock's article on Luis Suarez's suspension and which was repeated over the rest of his article on Page 62.

Before you accuse me of condoning racism, the Commission found him guilty of using racist taunts on the say-so of the so called victim. The Commission also concluded that Suarez was NOT a racist. Nowhere in the articles by David Maddock, Martin Lipton or Oliver Holt was this FACT mentioned. That is selective reporting at its worst.

Who is David Maddock and the Daily Mirror to ignore this finding of the Commission and to arbitrarily label Suarez a Racist for the rest of his career?'

    To Oliver Holt:

'I found the headline RACIST over the start of David Maddock's article on the back page of yesterday's Mirror disgusting. I turned to page 62 and found the same banner headline over the rest of his article. Before you shout down from your sanctimonious high horse that I am yet another one condoning racism, let me remind you that the Commission said they did not believe Suarez was a racist.

Who does Maddock and the Mirror think they areto scream he IS a racist and by so doing pin this label on him probably for the rest of his career? This finding of the Commisson was also conveniently ignored in your article and in the one by Martin Lipton in yesterday's paper. Nice bit of selective reporting all round.

I see in this morning's Mirror (unfortunately my wife still buys it) that you have a dig at '....many [who] have already put Club loyalty first and ignored what is right or wrong'. Ignoring the accuracy of that statement you are presumably getting at Liverpool FC, Kenny Dalglish and Liverpool Supporters. What would you have them do? Hang him?; put him on the transfer list?(There would be plenty of clubs queuing for that); banish him back to Uruguay?; have a captains armband made but with RACIST written on it.; employ him on the car park at Melwood?;....but all the time to be carrying a handbell and chanting 'RACIST'.

Come on, at the moment you seem to be occupying the top of the moral high dung heap that is British journalism; what do YOU think Liverpool FC, Kenny Dalglish and Liverpool supporters should do to this man?. Let your readers know rather than this holier than thou sniping at what others (without having the guts to name them) are doing and saying'.

The trouble with these bastards is that, like politicians, they spout so much shit that they eventually start to believe themselves. The only thing to do is ensure their future visits to Anfield are made as uncomfortable as possible.

  6. It was no coincidence that the CPS came to this decision less than 24 after Luis's 'verdict' was announced. I can see exactly where this is goining. If found guilty and fined (or even a suspended prison sentence) he will get a max of 4 matches on the grounds he has already been punished through the courts. On the other hand if CPS/Police decide to drop, or manage to lose, the case then the FA can say it has been dealt with.

Win/Win for the FA and Terry

  7. Excellent post. Lets just let FT fade into mediocrity if not oblivion.

To those advocating having FT back - absolutely no chance - this is something I feel stroingly about.

For many reasons - but the main two are

    1) the way he treated us when he left.

    and

    2) he is rubbish and has been for about 2 years. LFC needs better than FT.

To those saying get him back here

Do you recall like me on that fateful Friday defending him cos you thought our heroes never lie to us the fans cos we are important to them only to find that indeed yes the SSN news journos were right that he'd lied to us and asked to join Chelsea? The truth is that this man thinks of nothing but himself and if he came back to us (which would never happen) and then found he could get more elsewhere or thought he may have more chance of winning somerthing elsewhere then he'd be off again - loyalty? - no chance.

The truth is that this man did not merit being treated as a hero by Anfield fans - none of our previous heroes have treated us like this.

Do you also recall his displays in the last 18 months of his LFC career? - hardly any decent ones - except ironically enough V Chelsea. Yet rather than keep quiet and work on his game to try to help us out, what we got looked like lack of effort and being bothered to me. Not chasing balls, missing easy chances, not finding positions and just general rubbishness whilst accepting no responsibility for his own ineptitude being part of the problem. Good people round our club (managers, fans, coaches ...etc) turned a blind eye, made excuses for him as we had seen what he could be when he first came but that became a distant memory. Do we want this back in a red shirt? - hell no!!

The truth actually now seems to be that he is not capable of better judging by what he has done in a CFC shirt since he joined them. There he seems about 5th choice striker based on his displays and imo only gets games cos of the fee they paid!!

We as a club under Kenny are full of positive players who love our club and and would run their heart out for it, people without an ego in sight and that is vital - that is the future and it excites me. I love the way our club and players are now. Risk that? - no way!!

Yes we do need a new striker and maybe Andy may end up being ditched (altho now is far too soon - and at least with him I have no probs with his attitude) but no way on this earth should that striker be FT. Been there, done that, don't want to go back.
