  1. It’s football, enjoy the ride, don’t stress out for that.

We are lucky enough to follow the last games of the Klopp’s era. We shall remember those days with happiness for years to come.

It may not turn out the way we want but we can still make it and that’s great to have the chance to be part of it right ?

Fun is definitely not the word that comes to my mind when I think about what comes next. Even if we somehow won it, it's going to be torture rather than fun!

Hope is stronger than fear or resentment.

What do we want to feel ?

We moaned for years because challenging for the League was over at Christmas.

We all agree no one expected us to be where we are now back in august.

It may hurt but it could be awesome.

    Never give up !

  3. As Dave wrote in the match report, everybody is entitled to believe what he wants.

What is sure though it’s the story has not been written yet. Not sure it sounds English, but you get the point, everything remains  possible.

The best like Istanbul, Barca, Dortmund or the worse like Chelsea 2014 or Arsenal 89.

Having calmed down after yesterday, I think we still have a pretty good chance. It would have been even better being in the driver's seat, but as many others have said, our rivals are not out of sight, and both of them have equally as hectic a schedule as us (if not more given the importance of the CL).

I still think City will be the toughest nut to crack, as the return of de Bruyne and Haaland will give them that extra bit of match-winning quality. I don't think Haaland has improved them much as a team (if at all), but the link up with de Bruyne is unfortunately lethal.

I see people (especially 3stacks) are really impressed with Arsenal. I don't underestimate them, but their run is based on overplaying key players over an extended period of time. Only Virgil (who is a player renowned for his avoidance of injury) has racked up minutes similar to Saliba, Gabriel, White, Rice, Odegaard and Saka. I can easily see 2 or 3 of those having niggles in the coming weeks, and it won't take much to get them out of rhtyhm once they have to break up that base. Would be nice if one or two of the refs in the league would reign in on their ridiculously aggressive defending and attacking at set pieces, but I guess that's a bit too much to hope for.

I can see us winning 6 of the last 7, but I'm a bit afraid of the Everton (a)  games given the lack of rest that week. We will probably need to rest some of our key players in that one, leaving us vulnerable. I've maintained since the Arsenal defeat that Spurs at home is our hardest remaining game, but the same is true for Arsenal and not least City (who haven't won at Tottenham's new ground in the league yet). Let's hope Spurs put up a better effort in front of their home supporters than when away to us...

If I had to guess now, I'd lean towards these results:

Palace (h)  Win - think this will be relatively routine

Fulham (a) Win - First of a tough week. Think this will be tight, but doable

Everton (a) Draw - Will be tough on two days rest. Might have to rotate a bit.

West Ham (a) Win - If we play all our starters at Goodison, this might be the toughest. Not all our players will start all 3 games this week.

Spurs (h) Win - The toughest remaining game in isolation, but we should be rested and ready. Will need to be clinical.

Villa (a) Win - Villa and Spurs will both hopefully be assured of a CL place by this time. Second toughest game in isolation

Wolves (h) Win - We will find a way to win, but probably not without drama.

90 pts for us, I think both our rivals will end up with a better GD than us, so for us to win it with our results, we will need both City and Spurs to drop points.

The Spurs game away for both teams seems the most obvious one. I think both of them will struggle the weekend after their second QF leg in the CL. Other than that I'm struggling to see big obstacles for them if they keep their best personnel fit. I think Arsenal especially will be extremely lucky to keep all their players fit and fresh given what they have already put them through.

Anyway, I am still optimistic! Put me in the nerveless big dog category as well!

    Great in depth post, mate.

We can’t afford another slip if we  hope to finish top of the league.

Nunez made 12 passes all game, only 6 of them were accurate. He took 5 shots, none of them hit target.

Salah made 33 passes, 25 of them were accurate. He took 6 shots, 3 hit target, he scored 1 goal.

Nunez may have been worst, Mo was still bad. Don’t know if it’s post Afcon, Ramadan, injury, form, a bit of everything, but he’s been bad.

He stayed on the pitch only because of his status.

I also like Mo, but let’s be honest.

Maybe not based on probability, but based on the way they are playing it feels possible.

Every spell has an end. They won’t win everything, you just can’t do that with pressure, tiredness and Champions League.

  7. CL football will take then lot of energy, physically and mentally.

Not saying they won’t cope but it’s a big challenge for them.

Let’s win all our games and theres no issue then.

Arsenal are probably favourites to win the league imo primarily becuase of their defence. Incredible record since the start of the year. It also puts less pressure on the forwards if you aren't conceding goals either.  Both City and Arsenal are getting fairy comfortable wins while we seem to be battling every fucking week

Does not mean they will finish above us. United in 2009, City in 2014 often won with narrow margins. Points matter really.

Each team has an even chance to win it, but we are the one with the most points so far.

    Let’s the job done now.

Nah, there's money to be made off that if you've got a sitting tenant. Someone will pick up a brand new 750m stadium for probably a third or half of that.

Hum, you need big crowds every other week to make money out of it.

hard to picture a big brand new stadium unused, I guess the City would do everything to help Everton.

  10. When you get injured because of over playing in 2 meaningless games you’re wrong. That’s a fact.

You’re not a prick, you just look silly and I’m sure he’s mad about himself.

I understand He wanted to play but that was not the right call, and he penalised his team because he’s our best left-back.

    Again players dont pick themselves.

Sometimes They do, especially stars. They even have the right to pick players they like. Sometimes.

It’ all about check and balance in the squad.

I’m not saying Robbo does but it’s common knowledge Messi, Zidane, Ronaldo, others have done it.

Robbo is their skipper, their more important player. If he wanted, he could have opted out after talking with the manager. You time manage your players in march when it’s friendly game.

I guess he badly wanted to play because Scotland matter a lot to him.

I like Robbo but he wasn’t smart, especially when You can win the league with 10 games to go.
