    Really?

Mourinho - the fans at his former clubs love him, opposition fans hate him, a bit like Klopp.

Tuchel - followed Klopp twice before, both at Mainz and Dortmund, at Mainz one year after his departure.

Conte - born winner, want everyone at the club to share his mentality, both players and board. I cant see anything wrong with a manager actually demanding this.

Zidane - won everything as player and manager, would be interesting and I think it would be a success.

Above all. none of these would think twice about the pressure following Klopp. Hey would love and rise to the challenge

Not sure they are all fond of Mourinho, surely not at Madrid, Manchester and Roma. And the players could not stand him at the end.

Zidane has never managed outside Real because he does not fancy it and he knows it would not work out. He’s very emotional, he has no connections with Liverpool and England, and he would not be able to stand the weather, neither would Madame Zidane who has a huge influence on him.

Tuchel failed at Paris and Munich , and was very fortunate to win with Chelsea. He can’t cope with pressure without falling out with half of his dressing room.

Conte might be a winner and a good manager but his football sucks, every body would hate him soon enough.

    That’s depressing really.

I think there is still a chance, if they win the lot and do it unbeaten , what more can you do there actually?

It could all be a part of the dance move to not disturb the run in and a possible meeting in the Europa League, now the possibility of us being up against Leverkusen is out of the way.

I like the focus on giving it all, even if they are already Champions.

Doing well in CL is a great challenge, isn’t it ?

Gungodan got tripped in the box (was looking for it but he did get tripped) so he got booked and then the ref sent off another barcelona coach

Come on, shoulder to shoulder, no foul.

  4. Dave, I’ve been reading you for more than 20 years, and that is probably the first time I disagree with you (except for your weirdo point of view about Zidane obviously but I have been to med school so I put it away).

The worse miss has to be Darwin’s. He’s five meters away from the goal line, the goal wide open and he shot straight to the keeper. Horrible miss.

You can’t miss that, it’s all about instinct, flair, ability I don’t know.

I like the lad, but the pattern is way too obvious.

We played a lot better after Trent came on.

Our main problem today was a missing midfield and our players missing sitters like never before.

Palace defended superbly today, threw themselves at anything inside the box, if I did not know better you could think they were the ones trying to win the league.

The reality is that we outplayed them, even if our midfield was way below par, but abysmal finishing cost us the game.

The title is not gone though, far from it.

I wish I had your winning mentality mate but it’s not about maths it’s about momentum, we were dreadful today as we were  Thursday and last Sunday (second half).

A good post in a shower of shit ones.

All the injuries and the congested fixture list has predictably caught up with us.

We’ve overachieved this season, and now watch a big portion of our supporters behave exactly like the fuming muppet bluenose supporters we enjoy laughing at.

Well done Klopp for taking us further than what anyone could or should expect this season, you didnt manage to complete the miracle. We’re still so glad you’re a Red. YNWA.

Exactly how I feel, can’t rep sorry, We’ve been so lucky to live the Jurgen era : trophies, exciting football, passion, emotions. Danke, Boss !

  7. Great diary as usual Dave, but Aurier is a prick, he has no right to tell anything to Zinchenko.

The Ukrainian has probably relatives and friends in Ukraine, his parents certainly.

For more than 2 years, he’s been waking up every morning, wandering whether some bombs have killed the people he loves, the people he knows.

What’s going on in Ukraine is horrible, it’s like WW2, many have ran away and live abroad. It’s still hard for them though.

We’ve more than enough good players to give next Thursday a proper rattle without it impinging on whatever title chances we have.

If anything under Klopp, it’s when we make a huge number of unforced changes that we lose rhythm, or when we have a big gap between games.

I don’t think we’ll get past Atalanta, but I want to see us give it a go.

At least try to win the game ?

We've just got to take the positive. Send the kids next week, send the lads who need minutes. Rest the rest. We have 4 games in 9 days all away from home. So save these boys a trip to Italy and get them ready for Fulham/Everton/west ham. These games will define our season. Get 3 points this weekend and then find a way to get through Thursday that leaves us in the best possible shape for that week ahead. If we get 12 from the next 4 games, nobody will be worrying about the uefa cup.

Klopp will send a team to win and go through. That’s who He is.

The league has to be the main target obviously but we can’t overlook the EL, even though we know it looks like an impossible task.
