Crouch could well score less than 15 in 45 yet still be judged a success. His contribution will undoubtedly include assists and work as an outlet, particularly when we're under pressure. This in some ways reduces the pressure on him compared to the purchase of a dedicated 'goals per game' target man, but makes it harder to judge him objectively.
Personally I'm getting on 50-1 for top scorer!
Equidistant to the three market towns of Wem, Whitchurch and Market Drayton, the inhabitants noted for their shit pubs, tendency to fight, and dislike of anyone from the other two towns. Or from Wales.
The Tony Curtis/Peter Kay tune has the potential to be a great football song with the right lyrics. Bolton run out to it now but I'm not aware of anyone putting words to it, so for starters:
Just as the day is dawning,
On a Turkish Wednesday morning
How we long to be there
With Alonso and Garcia
The blueshite, mancs and geordies
All look at us in awe
As we tell tales of glory
And hear our Kopites roar:
Is this the road to Istanbul -Oh
We'll be singing for Liverpool - So
This club's proud history will grow
When Rafa wins the Champions League!
Chalalalalalalala etc
