Was told again this week it’s all agreed for him to Chelsea.Looks that way. Such a no-brainer signing. Shame we didn't realise sooner we were not going in for Bellingham and put that money towards him. Such a good player and so young too.

We've got a big problem if Caceido goes Chelsea. He'll transform them very quickly into a dangerous team again.
That'll be City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and us for top 4 places.
I wonder if we might convince West Ham to spend some of their new riches on Henderson.
We should have just have just signed Alexis and Caicedo. Agree that Caicedo can transform a team. He's a near to a definite success as we could realistically sign.
-
Anyway. We should just sign Arda Guler and have done with it. Watched a couple of videos and decided he's the real deal. Nice and cheap as well so will please the owners.

I read some comments about selling him.
This must be by people who are interested in new things more than than they are in quality things.
One of the best players in world football, and he plays on the right for Liverpool. Get in.
We wouldn't be able to replace him. Scores goals, males goals, never misses a game and is one of the most famous footballers on the planet. Keeps himself fit so will be going strong for a good few seasons yet. Great role model too.

What if we aren't looking for players who play in Caicedo's position?
We arw definitely looking for midfielders and he can play as a defensive mid or a box to box. He would be as close to a guaranteed success as we could realistically hope for I'd have thought. Not going to happen though.
-
It looks like we are looking for one, very possibly 2 midfielders and a centre back. If they are going to be the players we have mostly been linked with then I think I'd prefer us to spend the rest of the budget(boosted by sales obviously)on Caicedo. That we we have changed the bulk of our midfield and added 2 quality prem proven players to our starting 11.
-
Haha would be such a Suarez thing for him to fake retirement. Best player I saw play for us. Skillful, Streetwise, rarely injured and massive will to win. Maybe he will manage us one day, now that would be interesting.
-
If we only bring in one more midfielder then they need to be top class. Caicedo, Barella, De Jong etc(depending on how we set up). Think it would be a big mistake to go for a young unproven player and nothing else.
-
He was on a different level to most I've seen. Gerrard obviously won more and rightly is a legend but there was just something not of this football world about Suarez when he was on it.
-
He was such a unique player. Amazing skill, quality and above all a willingness to win. Never seen anything like it and maybe won't again, for us anyway.
-
So who around is the nearest to being the new Suarez? Miss having a player like that in the team. Looked like he was playing a different game sometimes.

As Jairzinho said, we got £12.5m for Ward and he’s garbage.Remember when the Echo said Ward was going to be given a chance at taking over from Karius as number 1 and then we signed Alisson almost immediately? Thank fuck it worked out that way.

If they can go out and spend what it takes to land these 2, then where the fuck is the money we bring in after years of success going.
Fsg don't want to eat into their profits when the sell us. We will still probably have enough to regulary get in the Champions League over the next few years and that's enough for them.

How good is Bastoni? Never comes up as an option for us, but would seem to have a good profile for our current tactics, plus just 1 year left on his deal and Inter always have to sell people.
Would be a big upgrade on Robbo with the way we are setting up now.
-
Arsenal's team may be better next season if they make the right transfers but if we get our act together along with Chelsea and Spurs then I think they'll finish with less points than this season. Going to be an interesting summer.

It's as if the establishment, media etc are trying to convince us(or themselves) that the Queen dying is such a massive event to absolutely everyone in the country. When most of us haven't really been effected at all and are certainly not grieving. The monarchy really doesn't have the heft that it did in days gone by.
Cancelling football in such a congested season is ridiculous and doesn't make sense. Just have a minutes silence and wear black arm bands and away you go.

And one of her last official tasks was to make Liz Truss PM. Enough to finish anyone off.

Dr Bruyne is probably worth double
Ah yes, how did I forget. De Bruyne is in a class of his own, although he has his injury issues and his age counts against him. It shows you how crazy the market is though now. Hard to know what any player is worth these days.

£100m or thereabouts is crazy money for someone like Bellingham. If you're spending that, then you want the finished product. Not sure there's a Midfielder on Earth worth that amount right now.
-
Going to be an interesting(if that's the word)battle between Trent and Napoli's Georgian winger. Trent completely out of form and the Napoli winger's got off to a flyer.
-
Play the kids and stick the rest of the players in stasis/hypersleep until Wolves.
-
I'd start him. We should try to blow them away with a fast start.
-
My main gripe with the FSG penny pinching is that it is not making the most the great talent we have. Virgil, Alisson, Salah aren't going to be around forever and leave it too long to strengthen then those players will either not be with us anymore, or they will be past their peak and will need replacing themselves.

I've always been uncomfortable with the last one from Shevchenko. Not suggesting it was fixed it at all it was just such a key kick from arguably the number 1 striker in the world at the time and he hit it like a 12 year old.
They were shot to pieces.
It was bizarre wasn't it? Looked like his soul had left his body, just had nothing left.

I still don't understand how there wasn't a bigger fuss kicked up about that. Scandalous.
