Like i said he has always been right in the past but if this one turns out to be wrong remember it's xmas and dont have a go.

You don't need to worry about getting abuse now, well in with the early info!!

  2. NOt a lot of people know this, but your average shrinkage on a supermarket till is about 3%. However on a self service till, the shrinkage is -3%. So the general public actually pay for more than they buy!

Not to be pedantic but any store that has 3% shrinkage at the checkouts would not be open very long unless said store is really screwing their customers when it comes to prices. 3% is almost 4 times an acceptable level of shrinkage for an entire store.

But anyone who uses those tills is basically removing 4 operators for every 5 tills as it only takes 1 person to man 5 electronic self scan units. Like most on here i'd pick a regular checkout anyday of the week. They are way too much hassle as well, always breaking down!

  3. On the brink of doing the same, I just need a point and I am at home against a struggling team. My main keeper is crocked though (same thing happened with 3 games left last season (and then my reserve got crocked too) and I dropped from top to 2nd and met a rock hard team in the play offs). I am unbeaten at home this season though.

I won in my first year last year and was on course for it again this year in a really tough league until disaster struck.

I got knocked out fo the cup with my star foward getting injured and went on to lose the next 5 games in a row; have won the last 2 but too little too late!

  4. Guys i was just looking at the Xpert leagues and noticed that my forward who has almost 40 goals in 30 games over the last 2 seasons is only 1 goal away from getting into the top 20 goalscorers of all time in the league.

He is a goal scoring machine; just wondering do any of you have any strikers with similar almost ridiculous scoring stats as he seems to be a phenomenon.

What makes certain strikers so much better than others in this league as it doesn't seem to be his skill level as he is only an 11?

  5. Good update for me considering my team fell away badly towards the end of the season.

Both keepers got a jump; regular went from an 8 to 9 and my 21yr old keeper who i have been trying to imporve over the last year or two jumped 2 skill bars to 7.

    Each of my 3 forwards got a jump so i now have a 24yr old 8, 21yr old 6 & 19 yr old 6.

Other than that only 3 increases with my 25yr old midfielder increasing to an 11 skill and my 26 yr old defenders moving to 8 and 10.

Overall happy enough and should be enough for us to win the league this season!

  6. Yes Masch got a second yellow so only a 1 game ban, what i couldn't get my head round was the 5 fucking minutes of injury time, should of fucking expected it though coz bacon face always gets it when they're losing.....Twat!

Yeah only the 1 game and thankfully it will be the league cup game against Arsenal rather than the league game away to Fulham next weekend!

  7. If you look on the forums someone will have given the odds on players retiring at certain ages. 36 or above it's something like one in two chance of retiring.

If at 35 it's one in three, you'll have a one in three chance if you try to transfer list and a one in three chance at the end of the season.

If it were me, I'd try to keep hold of him for what you'll get on the transfer market.

He's still valued at over 4mil, i think it's 4.6mil which combined with the 9mil I have would certainy go towards finding a suitable replacement.

  8. Henrik Larsson, aged 38, still playing international football. Class!

Yeah and Litmanen played today for Finland at 38!! Can't believe he is still playing thought he would surely have retired after the unjuries he got that prevented him from playing for Fulham last season

  9.

I think this is my favourite ever piece from a match preview, well done Dave excellent as always

"As much as I despise them, I must give them credit for the togetherness and team spirit they have. It’s unusual to see a group of such highly paid, arrogant prima-donna’s gel so well and work so hard for eachother. Perhaps it’s because they are all such massive cunts that they get on so well together? I mean, it takes a very special kind of twat to actually enjoy being in the company of John Terry and Didier Drogba. The common ground of being despicable, arrogant, cheating lowlifes seems to have galvanised their group, and it’s always extremely difficult playing against Chelsea."

  10. Or John O'Shea.

I think it's hard to criticise John O Shea as any player who has played over 350 games for Utd must be a decnt player. I think his main problem is that similar to Carragher in his early years he is used in too many positions to be considered one of the best in a particular position

  11. I see a new season has started in the CL but it's still in the smae format as last year.

I think I'll resign my team if anyone wants it as I have an invite for another league whihc looks really good and this looks like the team to give up. R

Really dissapointed though as I had been looking forward to the knockout style compettion since I signed up for the team.

  12. No not at all.

He may not have been at his best tonight but to say he's past it because of a few mistakes this season is jumping the gun a bit i think.

The major reason why some people think he may be past it is because of the super human efforts he has put in over the last few seasons and any dip ih form at all has people looking for reasons for the dip in form that simply are not there!

I think Carra has already proved in some games this season and will prove agian during the seaosn that he will remain to be a cornerstone of our team for the next few years.
