No one is knocking his achievements at Porto, but the fact is he stank the place out at chelsea. He tried his formula there and it didn't work. His man management was very poor and alienated himself from all the chelsea players. Plus his ridiculous high line was beaten time and time again with a simple ball over the top. Of course Rodgers changed their style. yes they were already playing a passing game but he changed the way they did it. EVERY manager has their own style of play so to say he didn't change it just makes you look stupid. He's in know way a definite success for spurs and represents a HUGE gamble that really could go either way.

Only yaya toure is better in the premiership, and even he got beat up by lucas at anfield last season.

He only said that to prove how easy it is to start rumours. He just made it up and the following day moose on talksport said how Gylfi has been spotted in liverpool and skysports on twitter saying the same thing.

If we wait too long then all we end up with are the dross that no one else wanted. Most of the good players get snapped up very quickly. Also you want to maximise the time with the new players during pre-season to get them to gell as quickly as possible.

That's what i don't get about our club. There's loads of hidden gems out there which we miss out on, but there's also loads of other gems which aren't hidden like de jong and we aren't even in for them either. Bloody pisses me off.
