should get a slap. Is it really any wonder Everton and their fans despise us. They've got some shit reasons that don't add up but if anything would have made me hate them it would have been that parade. I was four years old and they drove right past where I lived on Queens Drive (Walton by Stanley Park across from the Blue Star Chippy). It was one of the greatest days of my life even though I barely remembered it. Anyway I just found photos there when I was tidying a few things and there I am decked out in red, my first trophy home coming, a 4 year old kid on the shoulders of my Everton supporting brother who is clapping both teams in the photos. You wouldn't catch him clapping us today I don't think. Point being photo one league trophy barely visible but it seems to be there. Photo two F.A Cup trophy. Both on two seperate buses, red buses with Liverpool banner sponsored by John Smiths and with "Merseyside 1" as the number and destination on the buses. So far so great. Then what comes next? Another two red buses, with no trophies, just it seems Everton players. With "Merseyside 2" on it. Can you imagine getting that call? "Listen lads I know Liverpool just shat all over your season costing you the league and cup but how about going on a parade with their winning banner on a red bus and following behind them with no trophies?" My response would have been a clear and concise "go fuck yourself". Yet there it seems to be in colour photographic evidence. As I say I was 4 at the time so I don't remember it that well so maybe I've got it completely wrong despite the photo such is how unbelievably classless this situation is. Before you laugh and think how great it is to see them in our shadow in this parade just imagine for a second if you will if the roles were reversed. Evertonians have some pretty poor efforts of excuses to dislike us, but me, if I had ended up a blue, that would have been right up at the top of my list.
