  1. A few managers have said in the past they look at fixtures in sets and try and set a point’s total they expect to get from the certain set of games regardless of how they come. Everton (A), United (H) and Norwich (H) I’d probably have taken 5 points before the games and if they had come about with an Everton draw, United draw and Norwich win I couldn’t see many complaints from fans. So taking this approach and splitting all the games into groups of five (with the first 2 groups already done), see what points you’d like from each set of games (not the result just an overall point total) and then see what you’ve got overall. Sunderland (H) Arsenal (A) Bolton Wanderers (H) Stoke City (A) Tottenham Hotspur (A) Section 1 - 7 POINTS Wolverhampton Wanderers (H) Everton (A) Manchester United (H) Norwich City (H) West Bromwich Albion (A) Section 2 - 11 POINTS Swansea City (H) Chelsea (A) Manchester City (H) Fulham (A) Queens Park Rangers (H) Section 3 - 10 POINTS Aston Villa (A) Wigan Athletic (A) Blackburn Rovers (H) Newcastle United (H) Manchester City (A) Section 4 - 10 POINTS Stoke City (H) Bolton Wanderers (A) Wolverhampton Wanderers (A) Tottenham Hotspur (H) Manchester United (A) Section 5 - 10 POINTS Everton (H) Arsenal (H) Sunderland (A) Queens Park Rangers (A) Wigan Athletic (H) Section 6 - 8 POINTS Newcastle United (A) Aston Villa (H) Blackburn Rovers (A) Fulham (H) West Bromwich Albion (H) Section 7 - 11 POINTS Norwich City (A) Chelsea (H) Swansea City (A) Section 8 - 6 POINTS Total Points – 73.
