  1. I never wanted Kenny sacked, after 4-5 years under the last yank cowboys, he actually had galvanised the club and united the fans (to a large extent) So getting rid of him was just stupid and i think the owners are probably regretting it a little now. 2 cup finals was not bad at all and he made Anfield roar again. Sadly he wasn't given another season to fix the poor league position of last year but he did spend too much on players like downing and caroll. So i think the owners shit themselves a bit and thought "can we trust him with more funds" I think many of us have become disillusioned with the results and some of the performances this season and it hurts like hell (especially losing to Villa and Oldham) Anfield has stopped roaring again and is very quiet once more The appointment of Rodgers and some of our results has split the fans once again....and this is the most sad thing to me. I heard the commentator ask Brendan if we could turn it around against Zenit becuae of those "famous Anfield European nights" not in my opinion, the fans arent as united as we always used to be, and our football isnt swashbuckling and an over drive of pressure, it doesn't allow us to batter teams because we are so patient with the ball. Its hard to get on the edge of your seat and sing your heart out, shout and scream if the team is passing it around in our own half alot. When kenny got sacked my mate asked me "who do you want" and i said Brendan Rodgers. I had read about him before and his commitment to go around Europe and learn from the very best clubs. I had seen how his Swansea side murdered us twice under Kenny, we couldnt even get close to them. (i honestly think this is what influenced our owners to go for him too) So thats who i wanted. Now 8 months on, im not going to go against my initial gut feeling, and i dont want him sacked. Its hard watching us at the moment, and i agree with some on here that its like we are used to losing, so it doesnt hurt as much. (before i used to get damn angry if we lost even one game....) For me Liverpool has only been close to winning the league once in 23 years. We are a great club with worldwide support and it hurts being so far from those manc cunts. It also hurts to see us fall behind other teams like spurs, chelsea, arsenal and city. But we have been off the pace for years, a great cup side who can beat anyone on our day...but still a million miles from the league. If we sack Rodgers, as i've heard people say on here, we will still have these players......players who havent got us close to winning the league or even the top four. If we get another great manager, he will realise these players arent good enough, maybe its not even talent, maybe its desire and hunger. Or maybe its just mental weakness that costs us games and points year on year. So another great/good manager will surely realise this and need to start the same rebuilding process Brendan is trying to do? I think Rodgers deserves his chance, now he is here. Atleast one more season and one summer to get rid of the weaker players and buy the ones he needs to fit his style. But I also think he needs to adapt his system and be more flexible in our approach to games, as playing the same way with these players just isnt working.....in that sense i have been a little disappointed with him. He got rid of Sahin, who i thought was way off the pace, so he showed he takes no time in axing a player if he isnt working out. I'd like to see what he does this summer with existing signings and others he has bought in.....i think he deserves that chance.
