  1. Northwest Masters on Sky Sports 1 right now.. Liverpool beat Man City 3-2 in first game.. Also The Fat Binman, what a waste of talent he was at The Pit.. even at 47 and as tubby as ever he's made some unbelievable stops.. One terrific double stop.. How he manages to throw that huge frame around like that is astonishing.. Perhaps once the best goalkeeper in the world.. what a waste.. :no Would have been about 10-2 to City if not for Fat Nev..
  2. Given the choice of a) a string of preseason losses in which you get your players up to fitness quickly and blood the newer players, or b) a successful string of preseason results in which you lose your newest player for a few weeks, and possibly lose your only creative attacking central midfielder and best striker to suspension, which would you choose? I ask because a few Mancs over on the Caf are laughing at your team's preseason, but I'm not too convinced that ours has been much, if any, better. Simply, it's essential to come out of the blocks flying this year in particular, and these events have been a setback for us. The only way your lot can be affected by your preseason could be in the area of confidence. I know it's standard to say preseason doesn't matter, but if events carry over, it's natural that they affect the start of the real business in some manner.
