Yeah. Frequent language; also known as dialogue.

Wouldn't be so bad if they elaborated a bit, for instance.

"The following programme contains strong language and nudity, that tasty bird with the blonde hair gets her tits out a few times, starting at about 23 minutes in. So if you're going to get a brew, do it now."

The first time I stood very very close to a nuclear bomb. it didn't look much different to normal bombs but still pretty crazy.

Reverser inners. Holding everyone up whilst they try and reverse into a parking space it would take 2 seconds to just drive into.

This doesn’t apply to parallel parking obviously where it actually helps to reverse into tight spaces.

Reverse inners are the best drivers, because they generally then don't reverse out into pedestrians or oncoming cars. As I was trained to never park my police car facing inwards (as to allow a fast departure in an emergency) I've rarely if ever just driven into a parking space where it would mean reversing to get out of it, force of habit.

But, BUT, when some other cunt parks behind you it restricts access to the boot to put your shopping in. Even worse when people block you in on either side, SIDE.

A valid point, supermarket parking bays are generally too narrow. Just park in the parent and child space and carry your loaf of bread wrapped in a blanket.

In 1966 did the fans of all those other clubs that make up a very, very big chunk of Ingerlunds support week in week out in games v Liverpool sing 'sign on' 'always the victim' 'in your Liverpool slums' etc etc?

Had Liverpool as a city been treated like shite by the government for decades?

Had the person who was Prime Minister written a piece a few years before in a magazine calling Liverpudlians 'victims'?

Had the FA (who the Ingerlund football team is run by) been absolutely up its necks in the cause of and later cover up of the deaths of Liverpool supporters at a game in its cup competition?

Had the queen (who the Ingerlish national anthem pays homage to) presided over a nigh on 30 year miscarriage of justice by the legal system that she is 'crown of' around those deaths?

Were scores and scores of the Ingerlish public falling over themselves to spite Liverpool by sending in letters to newspapers desperately looking for the 1966 European Cup Winners Cup Final to be won by Borussia Dortmund?

Fuck Ingerlund....I hope they get beat tonight and I hope it is in the most heartbreaking way imaginable.

Get off the fence and tell us what you really think.

Not when you factor in the U18's.

That's a real slight of hand the government are playing.

Not really, I doubt there’s a single person in the uk that doesn’t know we haven’t offered under 18s the jab.

So given that, then we all know the percentages mean those who are eligible. Give us a bit of credit.

Dont give em milk, mate. They're lactose intollerant!

My ex brought some baby hedgehogs in to the house years ago that she had saved, fed them on milk and thought she was doing them a favour. She may as well have thrown them in the road.

  8. I think this thread could be summed up mainly as drivers that have no idea what the highway code is. I've said for years that you should have to take a retest for your license after a number of years. I also like the American system where you go to the DMV and take a tick test every two years and an eye test.

We may have some of the safest roads in the world but christ that must be a low bar. I know I am not the only person here that has to drive in order to compensate for the poor driving out there. I could if I wanted get a claim every single time I go out due to idiots not knowing how to drive.

There's a small roundabout that takes you on to the M53 at J2. There's a big yellow sign that tells drivers to use both lanes, then exit in the same lane you entered from. There's a nice diagram that a small child could understand. But every time I am on the left and there's a car on the right, they swerve over to my lane forcing me to brake. I have a camera so I could literally get a new front wing and door every day.

I miss the days when I could pull the bastards over and give them shit about their poor driving.

  9. Picking my daughter up from Lime Street yesterday and was going from Seymour Street to Copperas Hill. There's a big box junction and I'm looking at two cars that obviously have never read the Highway Code. As I watch them slowly exit the box junction I wait until it's clear as I don't want to end up in the box and just as I'm driving off some cunt in a Lamborghini suv swipes right in front of me from the left lane.

Unfortunately I am in my daughters new car, otherwise it would have been fun because I could have blocked him out. I generally hate driving in Liverpool, if it's not wanker drivers it's wankers on fucking scooters.

  10. https://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/19433972.people-advised-not-leave-oxford-becomes-covid-hotspot/

PEOPLE living in Oxford are being advised not to travel to stop the spread of Covid-19 as cases in the city have now reached their highest levels since the start of the pandemic.

The city has now been declared an 'enhanced response area', like Birmingham and Greater Manchester, and will be given rapid additional support by the Government including increased testing and help to maximise vaccine uptake to tackle the 'unprecedented' number of cases.

While there is no ban on travel - and those with plans to travel are not being told to cancel their arrangements - people are being asked to be cautious about non-essential travel in and out of the city to help stop the spread of the virus.

    But yeah, 'freedom day'

Massive assumption on my part because I haven’t seen any data but the younger age groups aren’t arsed about being vaccinated?

Just 100,000 first doses are currently being dished out every day, half the rate seen a fortnight ago and a far cry from the 500,000 in March.

Scientists have said that on top of supply and regulatory issues, younger people are more difficult to convince to come for a vaccine. Around 2million 18-24 year olds are still unvaccinated despite being made eligible in mid-June

NHS vaccination data shows 60 per cent of 25 to 29-year-olds had got their first dose by June 27, while among 30 to 34-year-olds it was 73 per cent.

For comparison, 94 per cent of over-80s now have their first dose, and for 75 to 79-year-olds the rate is 90 per cent.

Professor Ian Jones, a virologist at Reading University, said younger people were failing to turn up for jab appointments because they do not feel at risk from the virus.

'If the risk is low, as it is for younger ages, then the incentive is less, and less effort is made to go and get vaccinated, however easy that is.

    45185967-9773743-This_graph_shows_the_pe

This graph shows the percentage of Britons in each age group who have received a first dose (green bar) and second dose (orange bar).

'It is also a fact that 100 per cent vaccination cannot be reached as there will always be some groups who purposefully chose not to get vaccinated or are simply indifferent to it.

'That means there will be a tailing off in vaccination take-up and you are possibly seeing the start of that now.'

Professor Jones called on everyone to make sure they get two doses of the vaccine.

    Anyone sum this up?

If 100% of people that lived in Liverpool were double vaccinated, then 100% of people hospitalised with covid would be double vaccinated, 100% of deaths from covid would be people that were double vaccinated (if they all lived in Liverpool).

That wouldn't mean the vaccine was useless, and it's not good to provide limited data when it can be abused by some elements in the media and YouTube trained epidemiologists. The reason politicians love statistics is because they are a very effective tool to support a lie.

  13. Them just saying 'aged over 50' just doesn't mean much. It's a well know fact that the immune system does not work as well as you grow older, so the 43% needs breaking down into ages and as previously mentioned co-morbidities.

Also as the percentage of the population vaccinated rises you will reach a point where a higher percentage of people hospitalised will be vaccinated, because there are more of them and many are in the high risk groups.

Another reason it is important to give more specific data.

She’s handed in her notice today and the builders don’t even know when they’ll have finished the bar.

Apparently I’m a cunt and not supporting her for suggesting maybe she held off handing in her notice until they had an opening date!

Not finished yet means, the summer off. They’re not daft.
