Anyone seen one of the new Merseyrail trains in the flesh yet?
Considering the drivers haven't even been trained to drive them, we won't be seeing many any time soon. My mate is a driver, I asked him about these last week.

Rooney’s complaint to the police has gone nowhere. There’s apparently now footage on social media of him walking with two girls to the hotel and the police have said that having spoken with the person involved they are satisfied there was no criminality. Quelle surprise. A marital crisis all of his own making. Again.
A spokesman said: 'On Monday 26 July Cheshire Constabulary received reports of a possible blackmail relating to a number of images circulating online.
'Officers have spoken to the person involved and are satisfied that no offences have taken place. The person involved has also stated that they do not wish to take the matter any further.'
Rooney reporting to the police.

Just as a bulletproof vest doesn't stop you getting shot, a vaccine cannot stop you being infected. Both can lead to a far less serious outcome.

So, I've had about 5 or 6 treatments with the neti pot since Friday morning and it feels like it's making a small difference thus far.
Still feels like there's a blockage in the right nostril but hopefully this Neti / salt treatment will whittle it down until I'm rid of the annoying fucker.
It's horrible isn't it. Glad it appears to be making some difference.

Because they are clearly thinking there a huge avalanche of cases coming over the next few months? A shit loads by the looks of it given that figure. Blood clots are a symptom of Covid19.
No they don't, as I've pointed out. This is just conspiracy bollocks without anything to back it up. Shame on you.

NHS sticking in an order for £3 billion worth of Blood Clot meds.
I'm struggling to understand why you dropped this in here, this is a covid thread.
- This is a multi-year contract for a common drug-type.
- Anticoagulants are used for stroke, heart and other uses. There are a range of drugs classified as aniticoagulents.Drugs prescribed to high-risk stroke patients are costing the NHS hundreds of millions each year – but they are so effective, the service is actually saving money.
Analysis of stroke data showed that the cost to NHS England of prescribing direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) increased by £733m from 2011 to 2017, but resulted in a substantial 11% reduction in stroke cases.
This reduction in the number of strokes, and the related expenses, means the cost of treating a patient in the first year after a stroke has dropped by 25%.https://www.leeds.ac.uk/news/article/4700/effective_stroke_drugs_are_saving_the_nhs_millions

Rooney has apparently gone to the police to complain that he was "set up."
To be fair, the photos do look fairly innocuous.
Ask any wife if that’s innocuous.

Former England ace Wayne Rooney has claimed he was 'set up' and has complained to Greater Manchester Police after social media was flooded with images of him getting close to a woman in a nightclub and asleep in a hotel room while two half-naked women took photos around him.
Photos on social media appear to show the married Derby manager, 35, with his arms around the waist of an unknown woman while out at a nightclub in Manchester. Other images appear to show Rooney asleep in a hotel room with at least two half-naked women.
MailOnline understands the images were taken last night, on the first weekend that nightclubs in England were allowed to open in more than 15 months due to lockdown restrictions imposed during the pandemic. There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing on Rooney's part.
It is understood that Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation after Rooney's lawyers made a complaint. Though his legal team would not confirm what complaint was made, it is understood that the former England star fears he has been 'set up'.

You could just see the premier league deducting point from them from last season to hand Utd the title.
Naaah, nothing will get done.

And this is why he was always safe with the grannies, they don't know how to work those new fangled phones and he could always sneak out during countdown.

Looks increasingly likely that you will need two jabs in order to enter footy grounds next season.
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/premier-league-covid-vaccine-both-b1889979.html
Coronavirus vaccine passports are to be introduced at football matches from October – potentially putting hundreds of thousands of Premier League fans at risk of being refused entry to stadiums, reports suggest.
Ministers are thought to be in the process of finalising plans to make double vaccination status a mandatory requirement for supporters attending matches, according to both the Daily Telegraph and the Mirror, as part of the drive to keep the country moving in the run-up to Christmas.
The move will allegedly extend to the autumn rugby internationals, major concerts, and spectator events of 20,000 or more in what is considered the latest step in Boris Johnson’s plan to encourage all adults in the UK to get both doses of a vaccine.
Earlier this week, it was announced that by the end of September the passports will be compulsory for crowded venues in England – including nightclubs.
All 92 professional football clubs in England are set to be affected by the incoming policy, sparking financial concerns for lower-league teams who rely on matchday cash to make a profit.

Wonder if Gary Neville has a view of this? Will Tyler ramble on about this at every opportunity?
No, don’t hold your breath. Nothing will happen and the cheats will continue to be loved by the greedy bastards in football, and the bitters.

Ministers 'fear coronavirus could be spread by farting in a confined space'
Ministers have privately pointed to evidence that suggests Covid-19 could be spread when an infected person breaks wind in a confined space, such as a toilet, it is reported
Bum masks next probably. “Hey, you can’t come in here without a bum mask mate” maybe that England fan with a flare up his arse was trying to warn us. How quick we are to misjudge people.
I’m sure I read that they’ve been testing sewerage plants for levels of COVID for quite a while now.

Well my son went back to work on Monday after his 10 day isolation, my daughter back to work on Friday after having had Covid and doing her 10 day isolation.
Five minutes ago in Tesco my son gets another ping, so another week working from home for him. Crazy.

Stonehenge, believed to have been built by ancient druids after the last time everton won a trophy.
Unesco has confirmed that Stonehenge could be stripped of its world heritage site status, over its concern that a road tunnel, backed by the government, would irreversibly damage an area of “outstanding universal value”.
A report to Unesco’s world heritage committee setting out concerns about the £1.7bn A303 road tunnel was approved unchanged on Thursday. Unless the designs for the two-mile (3.3km) tunnel are extended and changed, the committee recommends placing Stonehenge on Unesco’s list of world heritage in danger next year.

I should have said that you can keep your immune system well by eating healthily most of the time. Obviously you can ignore what food companies tell you in the main, they just want you to buy their food.
Released from covid prison this morning I was off to the shops, I left my place and walked into sunlight for the first time in over a week squinting from the brightness, standing there and taking in the fresh (slightly pig farm smelling) air. Like a scene from a prison film where the prisoner is released from solitary confinement, because I basically had been. No face to face contact with another human being the whole time. (It was fucking great, the solitary I mean) On arriving at the shop I noticed about 95% mask wearing customers/staff. I didn't notice any empty shelves.

Not everyone has a perfect immune system response, as you age it isn’t as effective in most people (that directly affects the efficacy of the vaccine.)
Hence the massive difference in the way the virus affects younger v older people. And that effect gets worse roughly each decade from 50 onwards. The different variants also don’t help and how much the virus has mutated.
This is why (before the vaccine) they locked away those with a compromised immune system. Most of us can improve our immune system by eating healthily.

Some positive news?
Could it be that the claimed effect from the Euros has finished and that explains the drop. It will be interesting to see next week if we start to see a rise caused by the relaxation of the social distancing/mask wearing etc.

A 1000 jobs….I’ll see that and raise you
I can only repeat, the current jobs at the stadium will move over. Apart from the massive team that work on wood preservative. Nobody has considered these losses along with redundancies at Ronseal.
Most new jobs will be part time jobs for match day staff, I can't say this for sure but it makes sense that logically they might also be employed by us as we never play at home on the same days.

It should arrive at any time. My grandkids away kits stopped tracking, a couple of days later they arrived.
I had two messages from friends yesterday who received their shirts within 3 weeks.
If you ordered on 24th, I'd say you should get them by Thursday next week.
