Does the Italian national anthem actually have words or does everybody just get to make up their own shit and sing it as though they really really mean it.

The Italian national anthem is actually just a hot dog advert that aired in Italian cinemas in the 50s. It caught on and was so popular they decided to make it the national anthem.

    oops wrong thread.

  2. Everton today confirmed that enabling works will start on Monday, July 26, as they break ground at the historic dock.

Initial works will involve repair and preservation of the Grade II listed dock wall, stabilising of the hydraulic tower, and demolition of existing non-listed structures.

Pipework will also be installed in preparation for the infilling of the dock to prepared for building the 52,888 capacity stadium structure, in time for their completion aim of the 2024-25 season.

They still haven't talked any investors into parting with cash, maybe a nice new traffic cone will change that.

I was driving close to the site of the unicorn stadium yesterday and christ it stinks there, they'll be well at home as they stink the place out every time they play.

  3. Not going to subject you to the entire story (link below) but these bits peaked my interest.

Rafael Benitez's love of Liverpool is not defined by a tribal club divide - Guillem Balague

Despite a post-Liverpool career that has taken Benitez to Italy, Spain, back to England and then to China, the family home remains in Merseyside.

He is now back in a professional capacity, only this time to the blue footballing side. It has not been a signing met with wholesale approval from Everton fans, although it was a 'no-brainer' for club owner Farhad Moshiri and his chief associate Alisher Usmanov.

And Benitez impressed Moshiri and Usmanov - the decision-makers at the club - in his first two video conference chats. They liked what he was bringing - including ideas about the academy, the design of the squad, how to improve their injury problems and his track record.

Strange, I thought he was a sponsor. Did I miss something or is this just more shite from Balague.

Donald Rumsfeld has died at the age of 88. He served as US defense secretary from 1975 to 1977 under President Gerald Ford, and again from January 2001 to December 2006 under President George W Bush.

The prominent Republican was very involved in the decision to invade Afghanistan and Iraq as part of the US response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

A statement from his family said he died surrounded by loved ones in Taos, New Mexico and praised his “six decades of public service”.

I’m curious as to how far your geniality towards other football fans extends? Are Everton fans just good lads who are misunderstood when they call us murderers and wall-pushers? Man U fans just applying some mild ribbing with the always the victims song?

Well as a season ticket holder I have heard all the disgusting chants built I am not stupid enough to think that is all of their fans.

look I don't want to spend the evening taking shit for England, they're not worth it. But I am amused at the piss that's been boiled.
