No.
Most of those "cunts" knew we had no meannigful midfield for the whole fucking season and just decided to roll over and enjoy the ride.
We were flawed defensively, so when the goals dried up, we were fucked.
End of.
Utter bollocks.no one thought or knew the goals dried up. And if we were flawed defensively, playing for a draw is a fataly flawed strategy.

Both houllier and Rafa's sides shat all over the Rodgers one, there's no debate to be had IMO. Both sides had world class players running right down their spine and regularly mixed it with the best, both foreign and domestic.
The only times we played well against a formidable opponent, the drubbing of arsenal and Moyes's mancs, we were inspired by Suarez's genius.
Rodgers assembled the worst Liverpool squad since Souness and it was getting worse and worse.
Yet neither of those manager's best sides got as close to winning the title as rodger's did.
Dont do it to yourselves. Different eras, different teams. Rodgers team late 2014 played better stuff than anything Ged or benitez's teams ever did.

We only needed to draw.
Ah, the 'what if' scenario.
But the real question is why people like you should expect the team to approach that game any different to the previous 10? No one before or at the game was saying its chelsea lets play for a draw. Everyone including me said let's fucking get at them and blow them away.
But then if we'd have played for a draw and stevie still slips, or they scored the winner in the last minute breakaway, cunts like you would say why didnt we play like we did in the previous 10 games?
in other words cunts want it both ways and want hindsight as their lovechild.

Just been laughing at captain picard on sunday supplement. Claimed rodgers 'wasnt backed' by the club, ho, ho!
Wonder if he has the gumption to say that to pascoe's face the senile cunt.

Is there a set of owners in the Premiership that you would class as being good owners?
The funny thingis with these people who say FSG arent good owners (no one's saying they are perfect, what owner is?) is they forget that pre david moores when Smith was the chairman and robinson the virtual CEO, the club was run on far stricter business lines.
The club didnt have much of an overdraft facility with the bank. Transfers were financed out of working capital and were not spread over 2 or 3 years. It was cash up front and if the club didnt have the cash, it didnt buy the player. Most of our transfer dealings were modest amounts compared to what other clubs were paying.
Now when the current owners give the club an interest fee loan of £150m, it isnt pouring money into the club. Instead its a 'loan' and the club 'pays for it.' well yes but first try getting a commercial loan for £150m in today's climate never mind one that is interest free over a 5 year period.
I love it when some people say these things about £150m. It shows how out of touch they are with finance never mind reality they really are.

I was responding only to the misleading 'pour money in' comment.
Haha! You think giving a £150m interest free loan over (at least) a 5 year period isnt 'pouring money' into the club? You're one deluded fucker.
-
The club are paying for all that. The corporate seating improvements are funded by a loan that the club is paying back based on the increased match day revenue, and then possibly naming rights in the future.
The owners have given the club the interest free loan to pay for the development. Stop making out the club has miraculously found a pot of money from under the bed.

I'd prefer it if they didn't keep allowing our most important players to leave each summer.
I'd also prefer it if they got more than one major decision correct every 3 years.
Players will move on all the time and we dont have a god given right to win anything even if some people do.
Its funny that for owners many people say are 'looking to sell' they continue to pour money into the club via the stadium development, new player transfers and wages.

What can you say, he nailed that interview.
For once, a manager said we need to jettison all this talk about what we've done in the past and start afresh.
He had the press eating out of his hand especially with his 'Im the normal one' quote.
And despite where we are now, he's talking about winning the title in 4 seasons instead of bullshitting around the issue. If you dont expect to win the title, dont be fucking surprised when you dont!
I love him already!

Yeah and that 8500 will take the capacity to about 53,000. The 45,500 figure does not factor in the division that is why we never get a gate of 45,500.
Ah fuck this.....we are the famous the famous kloppites!
The official capacity is 45500 or so. The new Main Stand will add 8500 seat to take the official capacity to 54000. The divider you're rabbiting on about doesnt take 1000 seats out of use. Its nearer 300.
We dont get a gate of 45500 because the oppos dont always return unsold seats early enough and even then for some games........
Fuck it who cares, we'll have a capacity official or otherwise of 54000 not 53000.
-
Willkommen!
A great move by FSG.
-
When you add in the divider for the away fans we rarely if ever get 45,000.
We won't be getting 54,000 after this extension - will be closer to 53,000
Nope because the divide for away fans is remaining in the ARE and the new Main Stand will get 8500 extra seats.
-
We're gonna end up with a stadium that looks like st james' if they increase ARE. Half fucking massive and half dwarfed.
And I thought the capacity increased by 8500 so 45500 + 8500 = 54000?

So that’s that, then. Following months of speculation and clamouring from a large section of the fan base, Brendan Rodgers finally lost his job as Liverpool manager. It’s not surprising – the results and performances progressively got worse, particularly over the past six months – but it is a sad and all too familiar tale for Reds fans; it seems every time the team appear to be on the cusp of greatness things tragically and drastically fall apart.

An incredibly well written piece.

By the way, all this seemed to gather a lot of momentum after hendersons 'treatment' in America last month...
So you think Hendo dobbed his boss in while over in the states?
-
Ancelotti is tried and tested in the PL. Klopp isnt. Just sayin'.
My preference would be Klopp despite that. Then we could all go 'Klopp!' like they used to on 'Allo, allo!'
-
Even with my innate cynicism I think the Klopp deal is done . The owners have shown great naivety in their planning at times but even they can't be so fucking stupid as to not have a replacement lined up before they sacked Rodgers.
Clearly they have at least 2 targets 'lined up' but I dont think either is a done deal. Yet.
Both will want assurances they have the control they want. Im not convinced FSG will just chuck the towel in and say 'crack on then.'
Course I could be wrong, time will tell.
-
Be interesting to see if Hendo keeps the armband under Klopp. Could see Milner getting the nod
Be interesting to see if he gets the job first!

Its got no legs. Give it up.

Once again Dave sums up the mood for just about everyone.
This job of managing Liverpool FC seems to be turning into a poisoned chalice with every year we go without winning the title.
Im under no illusion we'll see a title win here unless something seismic happens. many people think we're just a mega rich owner away from winning the title but its like the fucking fermi paradox; if there's all these super fucking rich owners in waiting to buy the club off FSG and go on a spending spree, where the fuck are they?
We've got henry saying we're not a 'big team' any more, journos saying we've the 5th biggest spend so 5th is our punching weight. Maybe they're right, I dont know. Just so thoroughly depressing.

He is a money manager.
Whoever it was who said PSG nailed it.
'Cept he took Porto to a champions league win and they had fuck all money.
Got to laugh at some of the comments. If he won us just one premier league title then pissed off you'd all be jizzing in yer kecks.

"He had to go, but Rodgers gave us the best football seen in a generation" by Alex Woo

Yes he did operate in a post ferguson world. Im a great fan of Ged but even his and benitez's teams imploded when titles were in their grasp.
The bottom line is Ged, Benitez and Rodgers should each have won a title (putting us on 21 and still ahead of the mancs) but didnt.
Football's like water, it finds its own level.
