  1. Supposedly we played a behind doors friendly vs. Burnley yesterday.

    Lineup was

Jones, Enrique, Sakho, Toure, Coates , Kelly, Can, Allen, Suso, Ibe, Lambert.
2-1 to us with Lambert scoring both is the most common score reported.  Some websites say we lost 2-0 but these all originate from an Everton website.  Shocking!  Must be that they "go to the game".  Even our behind doors friendlies at Melwood.

  2. For those who want to get excited about a wild rumor....(nicked from another forum so not sure of the source)

Yaya Toure is reportedly open to a shock move to Liverpool after declaring he wants to leave Manchester City this summer.

The Ivory Coast international is ready to exit the Etihad, citing the fact that the club forgot his birthday towards the end of last season, while denying him time off to see his brother Ibrahim, who was suffering from cancer, as reasons behind his desire to leave the club.

A move to Brendan Rodgers’ side would come as a huge shock, but with his brother Kolo already at the club, as well as the Reds being set to receive a huge sum of money for the transfer of striker Luis Suarez to Barcelona, it is a move that could feasibly happen.

The French newspaper ‘Le Parisien’ has also claimed that one of the 31-year-old’s international team-mates said: “He will do everything to ensure his departure this summer.”

You Have A Higher Chance Of Being Bitten By Uruguay’s Luis Suarez Than By A Shark

When Uruguay takes the pitch this weekend against Colombia in the World Cup, they will do it without star forward Luis Suarez. Why? Because FIFA banned him for four months from so much as stepping foot inside a stadium for biting Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini. On purpose. While playing soccer. Seriously. To make matters worse, this wasn’t even his first offense. This wasn’t even his second offense. This is seriously the third time that Suarez, who also plays for Liverpool, has bit an opponent during a match.

Ian Steadman from New Statesmen got curious about the sheer odds of the danger an opponent has of being bitten by Suarez, and how it compares, say, to the odds of getting bitten by a shark.

Since 2005, Suarez has played in 441 senior matches for Uruguay’s national team and various clubs. Assuming 11 starting players and 3 substitutions per game, 6,160 players have gone up against Suarez and have been at risk of getting bit. That puts the odds Suarez biting an opponent right around 1 in 2,000. The odds of getting killed by a shark while swimming in the ocean? 1 in 3.7 million

However, the numbers get a little closer if you consider the odds of getting bitten by a shark, even just nipped at. At New Smyrna Beach, Florida, regarded as the shark attack capital of the world, the odds of getting nibbled by a shark if the 22,464 residents go swimming just once per year are 1 in 2,808 on a slow year or 1 in 800 during a record year. Overall, it averages out about 1 in 2,000, just like Suarez. Realistically, the odds may be lower as many people likely go swimming more than once per year.

Even still, the odds of getting bitten by Suarez during a match are still higher than being struck by lightning (1 in 10,000), getting in an plane crash (1 in 11 million), or getting murdered in the Americas (1 in 6,100). However, Suarez isn’t nearly as dangerous as Mike Tyson. The odds of getting bit during a boxing match against Iron Mike is 1 in 50.

  4. It's only a matter of time before somebody twats the cunt. Horrible, horrible bastard.

Every night i kneel at the end of my bed and pray for this to happen................. Im still waiting........... The Thundercunt.

Maybe the two of you can find out with this lad is doing...

  5. The wanking over Rooney's goal is ludicrous. No doubt it'll win goal of the season since England's golden boy scored it. Even though Suarez has already scored a goal like it. Don't recall such a fuss made when Luis scored against Norwich (I think).

I thought the goal the Norwich lad scored was better this weekend than Rooney...let alone Luis's goal!

  6. David Moyes has admitted to feeling "ashamed" by some of Manchester United’s performances this season but claims the Champions League quarter-final draw against Bayern Munich is proof of his team turning a corner.

Moyes, who takes United to West Ham on Saturday evening, banished speculation over his job prospects by guiding the club to a 3-0 Champions League victory against Olympiakos on Wednesday.

The win ultimately secured United a last eight tie against European and world champions Bayern, but after experiencing the euphoria of defeating Olympiakos, Moyes admits it was a rare moment of joy following a season of lows at Old Trafford.

“The big thing was that I could look the supporters in the face after the game on Wednesday night,” Moyes said. “I thought that we had given them something to shout about and we had nothing to be ashamed of in our performances.

“In some of the other games, I’ve felt ashamed because the team haven’t played well enough and I haven’t got a team out that has got a good enough result.

“Our form hasn’t been consistent enough or our performances haven’t been consistent enough. We’ve shown some top performances and then some really low performances.

“We’ve got to get better at that but it’s going to take time, we’re not going to be able to do everything immediately and because of the period we’re in that’s happening a little bit.

“A good one and then a bad one at times and my job over the years ahead is to make sure we get rid of that.”

Moyes, who confirmed that Robin van Persie will miss the trip to West Ham with a knee injury sustained against Olympiakos, insists United can confound the odds by eliminating Bayern to reach the Champions League semi-finals.

“It’s a really tough draw for us but one I’m looking forward to,” Moyes said. “People asked me the question about being inexperienced and not having any Champions League experience so I was amazed that none of you asked me the question the other night.

“It must have slipped your minds ... but I said before that I’d watched enough games and seen enough Champions League football and hopefully watched so much football that I know a bit about it.

“But I got help from a lot of people around me – I said I would do that – and thankfully we’ve got ourselves to the quarter-finals but hopefully we can get to the semi-finals.”

I watched Champions League on the telly and am looking for a carrer upgrade...6 year contract, anyone?
