  1. Apart from his goal I thought he was average again yesterday, too many easy passes messed up.

His assist record is impressive but he was shifted about earlier in the season and didn't get them all in the cm role, I would also be interested to see them as I can't remember too many chances he's laid on a plate for players.

I'm happy to have him in the squad but I don't think he should be one of the first names on the team sheet and he wouldn't be my choice for captain.

utter crap... must admit was never a big fan of hendo but for the latter part of this season he has been great, maybe being captain has helped, dont know, but i would put him on the team sheet first nowadays.

  2. I think he's like Wenger... he believes City have a style of play, and that it'll win most times. That's true, it will, against the lesser teams. He doesn't seem to want to adapt to the opposition. It's not a lack of respect for the opposition, but it's a stubborn / overly confident attitude in your own team.

This is where Mourinho wins out, because he'll adapt to who he's playing. Wenger and Pellegrini seem to carry on regardless.

The game is full of opinions of course, and ask another City fan and you'll get a different answer, but I'd say we've overdone the flair and underdone the grit. I doubt he'll get another season to correct that. If he does, it'll most likely be through a lack of available managers. Unless a minor miracle occurs, and City still manage to win something,  then it's only a matter of time before they go for a new manager.

Simeone's the current flavour of the month, but I'm not sure his temperament is one they want. I'd imagine they'd want Guardiola, Ancelloti and Klopp (in that order). Only Klopp's realistic and his stock's gone down recently.

I kid you not, I can see City finishing 3rd or 4th.

As for Dzeko, he's not been great for a while, and most would choose Bony over him. Since Bony's arrived though, he's starting putting in some effort! Bony's not had any playing time to make any sort of judgment.

Our midfield is designed to have possession, not regain it. All in all, it's no better than average and gets found out against decent sides.

understand how you feel mate, but thoughts of changing your manager is ludicrous. league champs , second in the league, loads of games left.. if you win all your games, we beat maureens mob, you will finish top or second, we will finish third and win the cup.. keep the faith ....

  3. In those days, ex Liverpool players were a real coup for us. And for the large part, they were fondly remembered too. McMahon still had something to offer to City back then.

McManaman, Fowler, Beardsley, Clough, Anelka, Hamman, Walsh - there seemed to be loads.

I always liked Walsh, seemed a decent lad until Alan Ball fucked him over.

I think we beat Liverpool once... 3-1 (it's a long time ago)... it was a minor miracle. Must have been early 80s. Other than that, yes, it was 'the dreaded Liverpool' - we'd be lucky to get a goal.

remember playing you 1995/6 in the league cup on wednesday and the league on the saturday... joke going round after.. whats the time in manchester???  10 past immel...6-0 and 4-0.. i think.. happy days...

  4. started at cardinal allen grammar school in 1958, i was 11, that was its 1st year of opening(colin harvin also started there that year as a 13+ student) , sir bob was just a trainer at anfield but came to our school once or twice to give us some training, was just a great bloke,   sadly the following year, the school decided to play rugby.. except for the 13+ lads so we never saw sir bob after that... but a certain mr harvey did okay... went to the wrong club though.....was very sad to see my old school shut down a few years ago... ps ... also went to all saints in anfield  and knew joe fagan and his family: john, roger and chris(kit, who played for us)..lived on lyneholme road, was just like you and me.. no edge, just doing a job,, and by god did these guys do a job........................ bless you all.. sir bill, sir bob and sir joe...

  5. Could do with West Ham doing the Mancs today....that would leave us 4 off 4th and a point better off in relation to it than we were at the start of the weekend, a Manc win and it's 6 points off 4th.

Spurs is a big game on Tuesday, especially looking at the next two, our hopes of Top 4 can't be won over the next few games, but can defo be pretty much lost.

normally would love whu to twat the dung but if they do , they will go above us... so a draw...please....
