Glen Hoddle's against us at anfield in '81, hit it from miles out into the kop goal, silenced the place
About 1 minute in, embed isnt working.

He ain't good enough mate. Simple as.
Will be an utter waste of money. I'd rather not buy a left back and let Robinson and Flanagan play.
Do we really need a LB with Kelly and Johnson as well, who can play there also if needed?
He's miles better than what we have, whats the point in playing Johnson out of position when he is very good on the left?
While Robinson and Flanagan are decent prospects, they are nowhere near ready to be playing week in week out for a side challenging for the top 4.

Downing, Adam, Marveaux, Enrique/Cissokho, Dann, Wickham. That would be my guess.
I really hope not! 5 shockingly mediocre players, one decent player (Cissokho), and one promising youngster.
I will be shocked if we waste the reported £16 million on Downing, especially when we have a chance of getting Mata for a few more million.

Obviously Parker is a far better player than Lucas

"I expressed my decision to leave Atletico. I asked him to receive, without conditions, the offers that come from other clubs"
From Aguero's twitter, he wont go to Real though.

Some twitter talk that Ayre is in Germany talking to Bremen about Marko Marin and Comolli is in France to see Blaise Matuidi
Apparently Comolli bid around 3 million for Matuidi and the St Ettiene chairman wasnt happy in the slightest.
Not like they were on speaking terms beforehand anyways.

4-4-2 did us no favours at all, we should have gone with a 4-3-3 with Shelvey starting; we were dominated in midfield far too easily in the first half.
Kuyt is great as a striker, but as a right winger he really frustrates me.

I thought Baines was a blue? If he is, then it would make it doubly difficult for us to sign him. It's more likely that he fancies a new contract and his agent is preparing the ground work to ensure smooth negotiations.
He is a big Liverpool fan.

We definitely need some width,I like the look of Dzsudszak from PSV, a fast, very direct, goalscoring winger.
A supposed ITK on RAWK said that we're in for Baines, this would be a fantastic signing: Liverpool fan, solid in defense, brilliant in attack and still only 26.
-
Disagree. Without Suarez (and Gerrard), the only forward option available tonight was Carroll.
The other supposed option up front was Ngog. AKA Shite.
Hence high balls all night from defence, because we don't have wingers.
What other tactical options were there?
Players, not tactics in my shit opinion.
Agger was another key player who was missing too. The Man U game aside, we've really struggled every time he has been injured.

We're gonna have some trouble attracting quality players in the summer now that we're not even in the Europa league.
-
How the fuck do we end up with about 6 fucking players offside when the ball comes back in?
Does anyone know how many different shades of shit there are? We've been all of them tonight. Fucking dross. Zero skill, zero guile, zero tactical nouse. Nothing. It's like Hodgson never left.
Wouldn't be as bad if we were actually playing a decent team but fucking Braga... They got twatted 6-0 by Arsenal and we can't even manage 1 against them at home.
-
There goes what little width we had.. oh well we can always hoof.
-
Our lack of pace and width is scary, whos the fastest player we have at the club now? Suarez?
-
Bebe is a future thing..
Bebe is absolute gargbage, he looks so out of place when he plays its unreal.
Huge mistake from Fergie imo.
-
It's a real pity that Navas gets so homesick.
On this point, how did he end up going to the world cup? I'd imagine that was a big step for him.
He's over that problem now, he had therapy, hence why he was able to go to the world cup.
I dont think he'd be ready for a move to anyone outside of Spain just yet though.

I used to love Ljunberg, Pires and Henry in Wengers 'Invincibles' team.
Apart from them i'd probably say Mark Viduka in his Leeds days when he was an absolute beast of a striker, ill always remember that game when he scored 4 against us when they beat us 4-3.
-
Well that's a load of crap in fairness. Yossi played about three games in the middle in his entire time at the club. His best spell came when he was picked consistently, on the left or right, it didn't matter too much with Yossi.
Nah I do remember that Yossi played extremely well in the 'Gerrard role', scored a hat trick against Burnley while playing there.

Man U must be kicking themselves for selling Pique and Rossi so cheaply.
£5 million for Pique seems like daylight robbery now.
-
Edinson Cavani would be my preffered replacement. Him and Suarez up front would be immense.
-
It's probably bullshit but one of the photographers at the club museum said that torres has gone. Didn't say anything about a fee but just said that no player is bigger than the club before rushing off. Make of it what you will but I can't see the club selling him now
