Sentient points. Each one of them. That aside, Villa improved markedly under him, is that not so? Leicester and Celtic likewise, is that not so? Therefore, the logical assumption is that the same would follow, is that also not so? It leads us to one inescapable conclusion Dave, O'Neill would improve things- albeit not to the desired standard likely as not. Is that not so?
MON's style of management would actually probably improve the team until the end of the season. Long term, I wouldnt see any benefit to hiring him. Also, I just dont like him.

Why? Luckily for you, he doesn't seem to fit the bill anyhoo.
He's a kick and rush counter attack manager. There is nothing about him that tells me he would embrace the Liverpool way of playing football. He is tactically a joke - even worse than Hodgson, who has some tactical nous at least.
MON's primary asset is supposedly "man motivation" however look at Villa and look at the amount of pissed off players who were delighted he left. Fair enough Houllier probably tripled that number since he came to Villa.

I said sorry... christ on a bike like. :)

If O Neill ever gets the Liverpool job, it will be a very dark day.

Realistically, I think Deschamps is out of our league. So I've gone for Coyle, just because he's worked wonders at Burnley and Bolton, and managed to play decent football in the process.
I'm genunely baffled by the surge in support for Villas Boas: I very much doubt that most of those voting for him have ever seen one of his teams play, and he certainly wasn't mentioned in despatches this past summer. That's not to say he wouldn't be a good appointment (i honestly don't know enough about him), but I can't help thinking there's a strong element of the emperor's new clothes here. On reflection, I wonder if it's really a vote for Mourinho without the personality and baggage that comes with the 'special [needs] one'??
The reason Villa Boas is being mentioned now and not last summer, is because of what he's done with Porto in the last six months. He's breaking Mourinho's records for wins/unbeaten streaks.

Think it may be a tad early for Villa Boas. Deschamps does nothing for me. Klopp is having a a good season but has never won a major trophy.

Anyone who gets ripped off like that is clearly a tit.
fair enough :P

Fuck off you tit. So they're excluded for 18 matches a year, but because some thomas cook tit can't be arsed to come, some local lad who has been fucked off for the corporate dollar is supposed to come running back? Bollocks. If they want locals to come, offer them tickets every week, not just when the corporates can't sell out.
Why are people who buy thomas cook packages "tits" perhaps its the only way they have of getting to a game. Poor locals shafted again.....

Fuck off Tomkins......

I'm no body language expert................................... but Glen Johnson really seems to dislike Roy.

Lack of Paddys/Norwegians because of New Years?
-
He was good yesterday but from what I've seen from him in the last ten months, he's totally underwhelming. Hopefully now he can put in more performances like yesterday's game.
-
Gotta say I like him a lot. Attitude seems spot on too.

Love Big Sami. Proper LFC legend.

The two N'gog's have been on the forum a while, was wondering when they'd finally meet....
-
Kelly needs to play games -even at RB, he's been solid enough mostly this season without really showing his true game. He should play RB though ahead of putting our experienced CB's out there.
-
Some of what he said was inarticulate and not presented correctly by him - he got too caught up in the "rant". But his basic point was correct.
-
Why would you hate him after the Rooney rant?
-
I guess him being an Arsenal fan wouldn't sway your opinion, no?? Hard life being an OOT
Sorry, ignore that post from "me" that was actually me mam. She says hi by the way.

Didnt read the Rooney column, but agree on 'Arry and Our Roy.

Certainly seems like something a 16 year old kid would do, oh yes i'll get into my dads liverpool forum account and start posting, whats that you say?create my own account?no sir!this is way more fun, of course after "dad" comes back from his random two weeks holidays he'll never know I was using his liverpool way account, yes 16 year olds, aren't they great...
Hughton Sacked

Won two lost two, Hughton probably would have gotten them similar results. Baffling decision unless Newcastle go on an unbeaten run until the end of the season. . . .
