  2. Buy & Sell | Facebook

please help my friend win this facebook competition for electric picnic tickets. she is in second place with 1037 votes, about 40 off the leader and voting closes at 5 pm so please open the link and like it and then the same with the link i post just below this. thanks everyone, i appreciate your help

  3. I'm a very important person around these parts and have just repped you. You'll probably wake up with a hangover. Embrace it.

i think i would have woke up with a hangover even without the rep . but thanks.

we all dream of a team of carradonnas etc etc

  4. as a relative newbie, and i know im just posting an arse of a thread about something thats hardly the most important thing in the world, im interested to know, how come the 'wums' and mongs who are 'massive tools' have RED against their name.

shouldnt you have to be 'cooler than alonsos beard/scare martin skrtel' to be worthy of the great colour.

not looking for a fight here i really like the site its just something ive wondered about for a while

  5. I think it's a pretty good thing to win. A lot of our recent(ish) success has been built off the back on a League Cup win.

well said. its been too long since we won anything so any trophy would be great and like you say could be the start of us winning a lot more

  6. Just out of interest, what happens if we have a good season, get to a semi final, but miss out on the top four by a point? Is that then a bad season? I would like to think in the manager's first full season, people would accept anything better than last year. That doesn't mean we should not aim for winning the league, just that expectations can be confused with ambitions in these threads, and I'm wondering how upset those who voted for the first three options (ie most of us) would react to missing out. Would you start to question Kenny's credentials as a manager or give him more time? Not having a go here, just interested to gauge the mood.

i would think most people will have a bit more patience because its kenny dalglish. as for missing out on the top 4 by a point i think it would depend if we missed out because we had been shit or if we missed out because there were 4 really really good teams. i dont think its fair to judge any manager in his first full season on when we go out of the cups because one bad day and your out

  7. i agree with red ed and derkyw, no way would i rather not be in europe next season. we can only hope now that spurs blow it next week. like someone already said remember where we were in january and while it wont be a disaster if we are not in europe, id take being in it ahead of not every time. good chance to blood some of the younger players, another trophy to try to win and getting that first trophy in years out of the way can be a monkey off your back. like it was for us in 2001. it COULD help us out in the league having no thursday night football, but thats hardly guaranteed. either way top 4 next season is the priority i think we will all agree

  8. while i agree with everything about finishing 5th being a minor miracle i think it says it all that some of us wanted spurs to win. we were still going to get 5th anyway even if they had i just think its another sign of a remarkable second half of the season that 4th was still possible until last night

  9. i cant believe the hatred towards a man who came in during difficult circumstances with an average squad handed to him by the faltering Rafa and the takeover and administration issues. He should have gotten more time and respect. A man with 36 years experience in football management. I am afraid to say the decision to sack him will come back to haunt us this weekend. He has done a fine job at west brom since he went there and will keep them up,,,

    are you for real
