Dirk has been the recipient of harsh criticism all too often. If he does leave, I will look back on his time with us and appreciate that he wore the shirt with pride and gave everything he had on the football pitch. Admittedly, sometimes his best was not good enough. But his importance in certain matches must not be forgotten: the Champions League qualification tie against Standard Liege is of note. Moreover, his mentality is one that would serve some of our current crop well--were they to adopt it. A fantastic professional, and a fantastic human being: his charity work is commendable. He deserves the fondest of farewells.

Hello Moderators, if this type of post has a place elsewhere, please move it accordingly—not to the bin, mind. I’m not sure if it is necessary, but as I am a new member to this forum I believe I should introduce myself, yes? I’ll begin with a confession, of sorts. I was, up until yesterday, a fully-fledged member of the '.tv' forum. However, the levels of idiocy over there reached new lows during the late-afternoon and I quickly sought to escape its clutches. I’ve since transferred my membership to ‘The Liverpool Way’, and I look forward to some interesting discussions with you all. All the best Hair Police
