  1. yeah, what a cunt Rodgers is for not winning the league in his second season.  He can fuck right  off with trying to win that game against Chelsea and taking it to Palace to try and close the goal difference.

As for this season, yeah, what a cock he is for changing his formations to try and compensate for the loss of his strike force..when a player is not doing well/ pulling his weight (see a certain Italian striker), he puts on another in the wrong position to try and do better.  What a cock.

Sack the fucker - he's clearly useless and out of his depth - and let's replace him with Sohampton's manager or whoever else is doing better this season.

Not saying that at all. What I am saying is you need achievements to inspire faith. Or Perhaps you would like Garry Monk appointing when Rodgers goes? Mancs made a terrible start under Van Gaal and still aren't playing well. But they can keep the faith for a little longer with one look at his CV.

On the strike force, Suarez leaving in July obviously meant he needed to wait until the last minute to buy the Italian striker, as no one else was available.

  2. Probably because he doesn't believe we will be in the CL any time soon. But if you think Arsenal will be his final destination if they don't start to challenge for trophies, you're deluded. They'll be a stepping stone.

Anyway, as I said, winning is a habit.

"Winning the League Cup in 2001 gave us so much confidence for the rest of the season. It was probably the most difficult final we had.

"Trophies exhilarate a team. Not only did we win two more finals, but we went on a long unbeaten run in the league and got into a play-off for the Champions League."

    Gerard Houllier.

  3. Cherry coke is awesome though.

Just on the point of whether Rodgers said what Luis claim he did - what some people and Luis seem to not understand is that Brendan could have said "you can go if we don't make CL" and still reject Arsenal without breaking a promise.

"You can go" doesn't mean "you can go to anyone, for any price". Does this thick cunt really think we were just going to accept any fucking price for him after turning him into one of the biggest stars in world football?

Even if we have done everything you say we have Luis - we still haven't broken a promise. You thick twat.

No, he probably thought we'd accept £40m, otherwise why is there a clause talking about entering into good faith negotiations for £40m in his contract?

  4. and then he will be fined half a million pounds and if he continues, he will be sued and be asked to pay the £20m fee, Liverpool paid Ajax for his football services.

People have a false idea of contracts, especially the multimillion ones. Just remember what happened to Adrian Mutu who still plays football and saves money to pay back Chelsea.

Fined half a million, asked to pay the £20m fee - You really are a tool with zero idea aren't you.

  5. Start of the summer = I want out because of the english media

three weeks ago = I want to play in the champions league

two weeks ago = I have a clause, I can go for anything over £40m

now = I was told verbally I could go!

£50m and £1 to Arsenal. If they don't pay, fuck off and report them.

    Report them for what?

  6. I see that nob'ead Orn-stain just changed the title slightly from "Suarez to consider putting transfer request" to "Suarez to consider legal action".

Wow! Shock and awe in action! I mean, maybe he is hoping Ayre will be on the phone to Wenger first thing in the morning pronto closing the deal, right?

I spotted that too. Question is, why is a public service broadcaster acting like a tabloid? And it's not just Suarez that has had their tabloid treatment.

  7. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers and his senior coaching staff met in a Chester hotel immediately the season ended to answer one important question. How do we make real progress next season?

Rodgers had already been promised around £20 million to spend, plus, importantly, whatever he could generate from sales, but the money has not been earmarked for a flagship signing. In fact, the coaching staff were unanimous, that if the team was to move forward, the defence had to be scrapped and rebuilt. The retirement of Jamie Carragher had brought even more focus on the problem.

Apart from Daniel Agger, the defence is regarded as either underperforming or simply inexperienced and Rodger’s intends to bring in up to three experienced defenders.

The first, Kalo Toure, out of contract with Manchester City, has already been lined up but Rodgers is also exploring moves for Manchester City’s Joleon Lescott and Alexander Kolorov. Others in the frame include FC Twente’s Brazilian defender Douglas and, increasingly likely, the highly-rated Greece international Kyriakos Papadopoulos

The suggestion with the last is that the club will soon table a £12 million bid.

Although just 21, Papadopoulos has huge experience, having become the youngest-ever player in the Greek league at the age of 15. The Schalke star has already turned down a £16m move to Russia’s Zenit St Petersburg, but would relish the opportunity of lining up alongside Toure at the heart of the new-look Liverpool defence.

Rodger’s loses patience with Liverpool FC defence | Cheshire Today - News, Sport and Fashion - www.cheshire-today.co.uk

Can't see Cheshire Today having any real insight to be honest but thought it was worth posting, interesting about Lescott but can't see us signing both him and Toure and Toure seems likely, wouldn't be keen on Kolarov either, Enrique's better and he'd probably cost more than he is worth to be cover

    Seems legit.

  8. Since the new owners got here they've paid off Hodgo (10 million?) and Kenny (10 million), sank close to a hundred million pound on unsellable gash players and paid Swansea another 8-10 million for his services.

John Henry is not Abramovich to take a fecking beating like that without feeling it. No way they sack Rodgers, even if it means we barely avoid relegation, which might well be the case.

We're stuck with him, as are the owner, good, bad or indifferent. What I can't reckon is how he played the same 11 that did fuck all in the 2nd half against Swansea. The only reason we played better in the 2nd half against Spurs was because we were far more aggressive and direct and more or less abandoned his training ground triangles in favor of trying to win the fecking match.

He might turn out to be a good manager, but he isn't one right now.

FSG got £50M from selling Torres and without having to pay the £30M or so G&H loans every year, that money that is made in profit should be available. So the idea that they sunk £100M into players is wrong.

  9.

For some clarity on why Rodgers is cut a little bit more slack:

    a) He didn't have a 6 month bedding in period

    b) He hasn't been allowed to spend all sorts of money on whatever takes his fancy.

    c) He is new to the club

    d) He is only 5 games into the season.

    e) He is young.

Four of those would have applied to Woy. Just saying.... (6)

  10. Why should they put their own money in?

Because in this climate and given how poorly they have run us to date that is the only way they will be competitive. We, the fans, expect to be competitive. We really couldn't give two hoots that they pissed the torres money up the wall. We expect to be competitive. We, mostly, couldn't give a shit about balance sheets and profit statements. We are a football team that also happens to be a business, not a business that plays football.

So why should they? Because if they don't, they will come to realize, very quickly, that we are horrible bastards who will make their life a misery. And we'd probably be even better at this time around.

I'm not convinced our fan base would. Their PR is quick off the mark and too many are willing to swallow it. As long as they have us knocking around in the top eight, and keep spouting that we're building, then I think they will have a good four or five years.

  11.

I said it in 2003: Chelsea have ruined football and brains alike.

Milan ruined football in the 1990s bankrolled by Berlusconi?

Real Madrid ruined football buying those Galacticos and getting sub from the Madrid council?

You act like rich owners splashing their own cash was invented by Abramovich. Only thing that happened was inflation

  12.

But I am prepared to be proven wrong, I am asking is that people explain where the money came from to spend last season! We were operating at a loss, yet spent £40m net. Now that money came from somewhere.

Yeah, that 40m didnt go in the pockets of the bank to pay for two leveraged buyout merchants to own us.
