OMFG I cannot believe the shite spouted on this site, Steven Gerrard is our best player and has been for the past several seasons. He has carried us for years and now when the weight of carrying the team and the club is too much for him, and he physically and mentally cant do it anymore on his own, knobheads want to slag him off and sell him. I cant believe it. if I was him i'd go and leave us with fuckin Lucas and Spearing and not look back, good fuckin riddance be careful what you wish for it may come true, ala Yanks takeover ring any bells!

After the horrendous debacle which this season has been, expectations cant be beyond a top four place. Regardless of ownership change, were not gonna be a big draw. Spurs will be in the C/L ,citeh have there billions and villa there millions. ( not forgetting the usual suspects man ure, chavski, arse). As mentioned above, keeping our top players is an absolute must in regards to attracting players / a manager of any quality.

He was poor today but to be fair it's not easy getting involved in a game when the ball is constantly being launched into orbit, rather than to your feet. Frustrating indeed. The way we play currently does not suit him. I hope for Rafa's sake that Aquilani settles into a position soon and finds his place in the team; but that will not happen in the current formation.

 

Aquilani could possibly flourish with Gerrard alongside him and Mascherano behind them. Rafa does prefer two defensive midfielders but in previous seasons we've had Masch/Xabi or Sissoko/Xabi. That's one player to break up the oppositions attack and one playmaker. The Lucas/Masch combo is too stale and unimaginative. We've spent a lot of money on Aquilani so why not accommodate him. Bring back pass and move.

What a turgid display of dogshit! That was like watching two third division teams play. Not one player of ours looked interested or up for it, that was a massive chance to put the pressure on and we bottled it.
