  1. Martinez is no muppet. He'll be well aware that any appointment won't be warmly received.

But like McLeish at Villa, he might have enough belief in himself to think he can prove you all wrong. It didn't work out for McLeish. Martinez remains to be seen.

But when the overwhelming fans choice (Kenny) took over at Liverpool, it didn't work out for him either.

Whichever way you look at this, you're buying a lottery ticket.

And a team, in LFC's stature shouldn't be doing that. Far from it.

    Not good enough.

  2. Sometimes I get confused as to how many trophies Rafa actually won here seeing as so many think he is the Messiah.

Then I just try to count them to make sure I get it right.

Jesus mate, let it fucking go.

  3. All fair enough, aws. But there is a large section of our support which actively doesn't want Benitez. The same strength of feeling would not be there (among such a large number) for any other serious candidate for the manager's job.

But I guess the bottom line is it's my experience that Benitez divides the fans down the middle. If yours is different among the people you know and speak to, I cannot argue with that!

So, what do you call the smaller/larger percentage of our fan base that don't want Martinez/Rogers/Lambert?

    I get confused.

  4. erm.. is this really that difficult a concept to grasp?

He might win most polls, but try running a poll (on the serious contenders) who Liverpool fans don't want to manage us. He would probably win that one as well.

Highlighting my point that Benitez divides the fans.

Erm, yep I grasped what you're saying, it's just I don't see him splitting the fan base down the middle, he's the outright man the fans are saying they want.

Ever thought of being a politician?

  5. But even on RAWK, it's still only 65%. The fanbase is obviously split on Benitez. It may not be 50/50, but it won't be far away.

Yep, it's so neck and neck that he's the most popular choice on at least 4 of the 4 LFC websites I go on.............

  6. When I had it done I was fine and dandy after a couple of days. It wasn't even bad pain, it was more like weird pain. Like the aftermath of a kick in the balls, that ache without the initial pain. Very strange.

    That.

Did try kicking a ball the day after, but hurt a tad, as you said, like the after effects of being kicked in the knackers.

Had it done on a saturday, was back at work on the monday. I had no problem with it.
