  1. Seriously mate your an amazing person for being so strong about it all sounds like youve been under so much stress.  Its just a shame it takes something like what your going through to make people apreciate what theyve got. And more people cant be like yourself.

Can't argue with that. Can't even start to imagine what it's like.

Have a mate who's had two seperate operations within the space of 12 months to remove a brain tumor, which returned. Credit to him, he's just returned to playing football for the team I run..........

His missus at the time of the first op, had just lost her mum (to cancer), had just given birth, and then had to cope with him being in a life or death op, and she was just amazing. Fuck knows how I would have coped.

  3. Dave U made a good post on the MF.

He basically noted that we've looked like we've not really had a coherent strategy this summer.

    I'd agree with that.

I think if it is the case then its just fucking madness.

I'd just like to add the word "again" to the above.

  4. Roberto Soldado too much for Tottenham at £25m

Tottenham are in danger of missing out on a striker for the second time in less than a week with Liverpool closing in on Roberto Soldado.

Spurs switched their attention to the Valencia forward following Christian Benteke’s U-turn on Friday, when he decided to extend his contract with Aston Villa.

Standard Sport understands Benteke agreed to a new deal, which tripled his wages to £60,000-a-week, after it became evident Spurs would not pay the £25million asking price.

But the north London club are now being asked to pay the same amount for Soldado after having a £17m offer rejected. While Spurs are hesitating to meet the asking price, Liverpool are prepared to meet the buy-out clause in his contract.

The price for Soldado, who scored 24 goals last season, will go up to £31m after August 3 but Liverpool hope to agree a deal before then.

Speculation is rife that the Spain international is being signed to replace Luis Suarez at Anfield but coach Brendan Rodgers insists that he is not for sale.

Suarez, who is one of Arsenal’s main targets, has reported for the club’s pre-season tour in Australia but Rodgers plans to have more talks with him over his future today.

  5. He's definitely wrong, it's a boss film. Didn't expect Sean Slater from Eastenders to pop up in such a prominent role in it though.

Ahh, that's where he's from. Spent the entire film trying to work out where I've seen him before.

  6. Fucking superb it was. Best film seen in along while.

Didn't have to think too much about the plot, as the storyline was simples, and the action was awsome.

Enjoyed it with me kid. Cracking little film.

  7. but we continue to do the same with £9m, £8m, £7.5m signings, we are a hit and hope club, but if we bought a world class or recognised player they would make a difference immediately.

Last summer, united bought RVP for £23m, and that delivered the title.

As said before, without CL football, that's easier said than done.

It's a vicious circle. We need CL football, but to get that we need to chuck money around, but on the right targets. We chucked money about, but at the wrong targets. We're now being cautious.

The point being, we were there, we were in the right moment, but in the wrong place.

It's feckin annoying seeing where we were to where we are now. Soul destroying, to be honest, but unless we get an owner who is prepared to spunk shite loads of money all over the place, then we are going to continue meandering on our merry way, hoping that these middle of the road signings hit gold.

The biggest problem I have at the moment, is that I've no chuffin idea what our transfer strategy is. What are we doing?
