  1. Adrian Killen works as an Anfield tour guide, but his home is a Liverpool FC museum in its own right. Adrian has a lot of wonderful memories from his days supporting the Reds and has only missed 4 home games since the very day Bill Shankly was in charge of his first Liverpool game in 1959! "I was taken to the 1950 FA Cup semi-final against Everton, but I was left at a relative's house in Manchester while my family went to the match. Coming back, I remember seeing a big tin drum in a shop window and my mother bought me the tin drum. When I came back from the train I remember marching down the station with the tin drum. I was only four years of age. All the men behind me doing a dance because we had beaten Everton in the semi-final." ++ / LFChistory.net -- Past Present Future LFChistory.net is an accessible website for stats and historical articles on Liverpool FC. LFChistory.net has all the results from official games, every goalscorer, every single line-up and profiles of all players who have appeared on Liverpool's teamsheet since the 1892/93 season.
  2. We rely on the forums of the best LFC sites on the Net (with their prior permission) to promote our articles. "Liverpool legends" gives Liverpool fans a fresh insight into the stars of yesteryear while revealing their thoughts and background that you might have not known about before. You get a glimpse of their contemporaries' opinion of the stars of the Liverpool team at that time. We fully realise this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but LFChistory.net's aim is to enlighten or refresh people knowledge of Liverpool and not chase sensationalist articles that have little substance. Take a while to read these profiles which have been well researched or bookmark them for a later viewing. These articles will not disappoint. Our latest article focuses on Elisha Scott who was 22 years at Liverpool and is without a doubt one of the greatest goalkeepers in the club's history. Elisha was known for being rather foulmouthed and determined as he reveals in a rare interview in 1955: "Many goalkeepers these days are frightened to leave the goal. They forget it will always be there when they get back. Any ball in the six yards area was my bird and it should be for every goalkeeper. If he thinks a full back or another defender is in the way, tell'em to get to blazes out of it. I did." 3. *We rely on the forums of the best LFC sites on the Net (with their prior permission) to promote our articles and websites.* LFChistory.net bought bobpaisley.com - A site dedicated to the life and times of Bob Paisley earlier this year and we are about to relaunch a new version of the site which we hope will be the ultimate site for this fantastic man. We want to have a feature on the site called "Your views" and we are basically asking for your input on Bob Paisley in this thread to publish on Bobpaisley.com! If you ever met him, those stories are especially cherished... Cheers
  4. *We rely on the forums of the best LFC sites on the Net (with their prior permission) to promote our articles.* This turned out to be more of a chat than an in-depth interview which we usually offer, as we just met briefly at a function, but we decided to publish this anyway as John Aldridge is a very entertaining guy and interesting to talk to. So here goes.... 5. *We rely on the forums of the best LFC sites on the Net (with their prior permission) to promote our articles.* We have published the second part of Thommo's interview: Phil Thompson spent 25 years at the Reds as player, captain, reserve team trainer, assistant manager and acting manager. Various topics were discussed at length so his interview was split into two parts. The first part published last week concentrated on his playing days: ++ / LFChistory.net -- Past Present Future In the second part of his interview Phil talks about his time as manager and coach, the players that got away, how close his mentor, Ronnie Moran, was to become manager of Liverpool on full-time basis, the tooth incident and the enigma that is Nicolas Anelka. ++ / LFChistory.net -- Past Present Future Previous interviews: - Ian Callaghan ++ / LFChistory.net -- Past Present Future - Gerry Byrne ++ / LFChistory.net -- Past Present Future LFChistory.net is an accessible website for stats and historical articles on Liverpool FC.
