  1. Not excusing them, but the council are as to blame for letting Anfield (the area) rot than the club. It shouldn't need a new football stadium to kickstart the regeneration of one of the poorest areas in the country.
  2. Part of me thinks the more we hate them the more they'll cling on, especially Hicks. They both know they don't have the money to make a success of it, and can't borrow, so logically you think they'd take any decent offer on the table.
  3. Work on new Liverpool FC stadium delayed until late 2009 - 10/09/2008 - Contract Journal
  4. I think that was just more lies to take the heat off him and shift the blame onto the fans. Same for his little martyr act - sitting alone in the stands with Parry. How Moores can look these people in the eye is beyond me. Although it's difficult when they're never here.
  5. He's nothing but scum. All that talk of being embarrassed about letting the club down was just more PR. These people just have no shame.
  6. That Guardian article knocks me sick. This pair of disgusting cunts will never set foot in Liverpool again.
  7. It might be a good thing to stay at Anfield anyway as even with all this money coming into the game I can only see it imploding and more and more fans walking away.
  8. It would be a lot easier if we wasn't so loyal. Why would they be arsed about few protesting fans when the ground is packed and there's more waiting in line. It's catch 22 for the fans, and they know it.
  9. Skirtel is one of the most impressive centre backs I've seen for a long time. He's a class act and will get even better.
  10. Hard to argue with any of those points. I just think it's an amount that is difficult to turn down. I doubt Torres would even consider it anyway and would prefer to move back to Spain if it came to it. Not all top players are mercenaries anyway, which the City guys will soon find out.
  11. So they're looking at an outlay of a billion quid? It's a lot of money, but like someone said, it's all about prestige for these guys. They'll probably earn a lot that back on the back of our name, but I think it's the success that drives them. At least I hope so. Still a fair whack, mind. Thing is, we say that we don't want them to splash the cash, but you just know within minutes of them taking over there'd be hoardes of gloryhunters demanding Kaka and the like.
  12. So with 100 million proft each, what would be the overall cost for Dubai?
  13. Are you that Norwegian troll who was banned from RAWK a while back? I see you're still up to your old tricks
  14. I don't think they'd have any trouble raising the money for a project like that, along with a percentage from both clubs, naming rights, etc. Maybe even lottery money if the govt are on board. I wouldn't rule out talks being held, put it that way.
  15. I'm not bothered about Dubai splashing the cash. If they came in and were upfront and said they'd paid a lot for the club and would get the stadium built and give the manager a bit extra to spend, I'd be fine with that. I just want new worthy owners. I mean, when was the last time either of these yank scumbags were even in the city?
  16. I agree with that. I think the big flashy stadium was just to get the fans on board. It's getting to the stage where I hope some physical harm comes to both of them. Not like me.
  17. Thanks for the sarcy comment. Are you a woman? There's talk of Peel Holdings and LCC offering land down by the docks for a shared stadium, which they would effectively pay for and rent to both clubs.
  18. Very crass. Not even funny. I think any sympathy people have for the G&H stuff will evaporate when they see that on live TV.
  19. There's potentially a few theories for that. What's yours?
  20. Why is Ngog in the squad anyway? He looks average and out of his depth to me.
  21. If they are struggling financially, surely the stadium being shelved means their business plan has gone to pot and they need a swift exit? I could see these wankers forcing us into a shared stadium rented off the council. No outlay, massive return. It's the only way their sums could add up without building our own.
