  1. Lads city have to play stoke after the final so if stoke lose the final all they need to do is roll over and hand city the win to make sure city finish 4th so stoke will get the europa league place as runners up in the fa cup. Cant see city fuckin it up now and we.ve also a tough trip to villa last day. Tis a pity as another 4or5 games and i think we could've nicked it

  2. A suit on sky news bout 8.30 this morning said that the US military have no jurisdiction to operate inside pakistans borders without permission but the CIA have as per their agreemant, and it was under the direction of the CIA and not the military that this operation was carried out. They just got a loan of the seal teams that went in to keep it 'legal'( he says loosely). I cant and dont believe that the paki intelligence didnt know he was there, 1 kilometer from a military academy, in a house 8 times the size of the normal dwelling worth 600k with massive walls round it and armed guards patrolling.

  3. That's a load of bollix.

These lads know for a fact that the world was created in 11,013 BC. That's more than twice as old as that 6000 year estimate.

Although it's all coming to an end on May 21st...

May 21, 2011 - Judgment Day!; October 21, 2011 - The End of the World

"TIMING OF IMPORTANT EVENTS IN HISTORY

11,013 BC—Creation. God created the world and man (Adam and Eve).

4990 BC—The flood of Noah’s day. All perished in a worldwide flood. Only Noah, his wife, and his 3 sons and their wives survived in the ark (6023 years from creation).

7 BC—The year Jesus Christ was born (11,006 years from creation).

33 AD—The year Jesus Christ was crucified and the church age began (11,045 years from creation; 5023 calendar years from the flood).

1988 AD—This year ended the church age and began the great tribulation period of 23 years (13,000 years from creation).

1994 AD—On September 7th, the first 2300-day period of the great tribulation came to an end and the latter rain began, commencing God’s plan to save a great multitude of people outside of the churches (13,006 years from creation).

2011 AD—On May 21st, Judgment Day will begin and the rapture (the taking up into heaven of God’s elect people) will occur at the end of the 23-year great tribulation. On October 21st, the world will be destroyed by fire (7000 years from the flood; 13,023 years from creation)......................."

I'm getting married that day, fuck sake. Wait til i tell herself. She'll go loopy.

  4. I had an interestingish arguement with an Arsenal fan on facebook. I had a hop off them and there continued ability to collapse towards the end of every season and asked when would they start to blame Wenger. The reply was a steadfast refusal to blame wenger and just blame the players. She even went as far as to say I was trying to take attention off Liverpool??? I pointed out I was well aware ahow bad our season had been and that I wanted them to beat Man Utd to the title, but there was no moving her, and now she's gone.

Quite amazing how they are willing to bury their heads in the sand on this.

Stopped taking it serious after that.

  5. I'm bout half way through it at the moment and i have to say its a facinating read. Just reaffirms my non belief in a supreme diety and in all probability, nay near certainty, we evolved just as darwinians believe. He uses alot of unnecessarily large words though which is my only gripe as it could put off some less well educated readers. He mentions some scary stuff bout the yanks and the religious movement over there into advocating creationism and it being thought is schools alongside or even instead of evolution. Aynyone read it and what do/did ye think?

  6. It'd be nice if the King put a few comments out there to counter the predictable pressure that the ref will be put under by the scum in the run up to sunday. If memory serves me right kenny used to be one of the best in the mind game wars and prob still is.

  7. I don't normally take part in these as it's a little too simplistic. For instance comparing the Skrtel that Benitez left with the Skrtel that Hodgson left is like comparing chalk and cheese.

The same can be said for a number of other players that have had their confidence and will drained by Hodgson (LMA Manager of the year 2010).

    this is very true

  8. Following on from martin tylers monkey's statement a few weeks back on who left the better squad, i've been thinking objectively bout what he said, if one can ever think objectively bout anything that comes out of his gob so before i start, let me be clear that this is a straight out, honest, non agenda driven question. I am in the pro rafa camp for what its worth but leaving that aside, i find myself struggling to say that only Reina and Torres are the only guaranteed starters that were left by Rafa that were/are substantially better in their respective poitions than what Ged left.

GK Dudek or Reina = Reina

RB Finnan or Johnson = Finnan

CB Carra was left by both

CB Sami or Skrtel/agger = Sami

LB Riise or Aurelio = Riise

RM Dirk or Smicer = level in my mind

CM Gerrard was left by both

CM Didi or Mash = level (or Didi or Lucas = Didi)

LM Kewell or Maxi = level (even tho i think kewell was a lazy fucker, talent wise him and maxi are pretty equal)

CF Torres or Baros = Torres

CF Owen/Cisse or Ngog = Cisse as Rat Boy fucked off

This is a question based on my perception of the strongest teams that were normally fielded. Also ,and i must stress this point, is that Rafa definitely built a better squad during his time here with the 08/09 being the pinacle and that years squad and 1st 11 were far better than anything Ged put together. But, the 1st 11 he left is a different matter.

One more thing, yes i am aware the tumors robbed him blind in 4or5 successive transfer windows and that had a serious effect on his last 1st 11.

So ye're opinions please and try not let this descend into anything other than a debate bout football and not draw any politics into it.
